PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu

I am very new at P3D and PMDG stuff so perhaps I am very ignorant about this. The second tutorial stated that I can load the scenerio via the Load button in the scenerio screen but the pmdg flights are not there. Only the default flights from P3D. Is there another way to select the PMDG turorial flight directly or do I have to load the aircraft first, position it at the right airport and load the state of the aircraft via the FMS. Without getting into too much depth, I'd like some guidance on the use of the HUD. I haven't used it much at all, but want to start learning how to use it. I realize this endeavor is going to lead me down paths that require me to learn about what the differences between CATI, CATII, and CATIII landings are... but I'd like to learn what I should be doing in order to just begin getting accustomed to the HUD. It looks like I should set up the landing as it is in the tutorial... pick the ILS frequency, put it into NAV 1 & NAV2.. and roll the courses on both to the proper runway course. When I click the HUD into the down position there is nothing on display. I have turned the HUD brightness knob to max but still no display. Is there a switch to activate the display? Solution would be appreciated. Thanks Ken

Hello, I was wondering if I could save a panel state with the battery off, because the default PMDG cold and dark isn't what I want, how would I do that if the FMC is off also??? Thanks!

I am a recent buyer of the NGX and am loving it. But I have had an issue where all the knobs and switches suddenly are not accessible. There is no prompt to spin a wheel or click a button. This happened in the middle of a flight and before one and I have to restart the sim to fix it. My view is not too far away from the knobs and switches.

I have problems to engage the reverser at touchdown. It only works when the aircraft has a lower speed. I noticed that when I am just at landing speed and I retard the throttles, they go back up just a little. Then the reverers does not work, as the throttles are not at idle. I move them up and back down to idle; they go back up a little. I also tried when airborne, then the throttles does the same. I tried calibration. And I checked in FSUIPC (the yoke is connected to FSUIPC calibration). Same thing if I press "F1" button... EDIT: The reverser indicator on the engine display shows REV in yellow and then in green. Hello precision manuals developers! i have been flying with the pmdg 737ngx on fsx for over a year and a half now, and i have been thinking about making the switch to P3D v3. my main reason to hold off on the switch is repurchasing the 737-8900 and the -6700 all over again and at such an expensive price. is there any chance that i could receive a discounted price for the 737ngx since i am a PMDG customer? Hey everyone, I recently got a new rig and re-installed FSX along with my NGX add on (the PMDG team was super helpful with the licence review) and followed the suggested settings outlined in the introduction document. The aircraft loaded perfectly fine, I made my adjustments in the FMC and then went to calibrate my joystick via the menu bar in FSX. When that was done and i clicked close to go back into FSX, everything went black. The program was still running as sounds were active and the functions, extending flaps for example, were also working as I could hear them transition. This forced me to restart FSX. Hi all, Not sure if this is specific to just the NGX so I need to do more testing with my other aircraft. It appears the landing and taxi lights dont illuminate the ground at dusk. It seems time specific in terms of when they do, say the start of dusk is 17:00 and it turns to night at 18:00. At 17:00 i dont see the lights on the ground but say 15 mins before 18:00 I do?? The lights are visible on the exterior they just don't illuminate the ground. Difficult to explain, it seems linked to when the airport lights on the terminals and taxi way and runway come on as well. Is this an FSX issue or something specific to me? HI all, I want to know why the nav radio in the PMDG 737NGX only shows 4 digits instead of 5. What I mean is that, for example, if the ILS frequency is 110.75, I can only dial in 110.7. There is no hundredth digit. All the digits were there at one time and now all of a sudden, it's missing a digit. What's the problem? Ken.

I've been playing with my main view (captains seat) settings, I'm running eyefinity (triple screen), ezdok, and the widescreen=true mode. To this point its been an endless loop of me making changes, playing a bit... make changes... play.. make changes - I could go on forever. I'm thinking at some point - I just need to pick a view and get used to it. So I have a few questions to help me settle on my view. In real life, does the captain adjust their seat to get their eyes to a certain point in the cockpit... I assume Boeing has some suggestions and suggests that they do this? (Boeing had something in mind as far as the XYZ of where the captains eyes should be). OR…

Recently I'm changing P3D v2.5 to P3D v3.1. First I unistalled 737 8900 NGX base Package + 6700 NGX Expansion (P3D versions) from P3D 2.5, and after I reinstalled the same packages to P3D v3.1. When I select the plane I wait for the inizialisation sequece to finish and then I try to open FMC. It appear correctly but it's not operative and not any key seems to work. I tried to unistall and reinstall again but no positive result. Any direction of what to do ?

Hi guys I have a FPS issue when flying a NGX (and 777), FPS drops significantly when arriving at the destination airport. My spec are: i7 3930k @4.2Ghz, GTX670 4G, P3D V3.0 on a SSD. Addons: FTX Global base+vector, REX soft cloud, ASN SP4 Build 5833. This morning I booted a flight from KSFO HD to T2G KSEA which is about 600nm of the trip. I took off from KSFO with 50% default AI and ASN weather, the FPS stayed around 35 in VC and 40 in the outside (lock at 40). During the cruise the FPS stay at solid 38-39 in VC. I have bought the PFPX app and I think its wonderful, the only issue is that the flight plan isn't uploading into the PMDG 737 NG, same problem with FSBuild..... can someone please help me on this i don't know what to do, I bought PFPX thinking that it would take care of the problem, but it hasn't :(

Hi guys, Yesterday, I bought the 737 NGX for P3D. I used it in FSX for a long time with no issues at all so I was keen to get it up and running in P3D V2.5. I loaded it into P3D and noticed (rather easily) an error with the exterior model. Well, you can see for yourselves in the screenshot provided. I contacted PMDG support but ,in the politest way possible, so far they have been useless. I thought it may be an ezdoc issue but it doesn't seem to be. I suspected it to be the ezdoc bug where it loads the VC views in exterior but I floated into the cockpit and it was the exterior view cockpit. The wings look fine from the VC view and the model is fine in the start up screen…

I've recently installed the NGX update with the new VAS-saving feature, what version number should be displayed via PMDG->About on the FMC? Mine show Version 1.1, which I think (?) is what it previously showed. I ask because after doing the install, I "spawned" at Madrid (LEMD) using a Freeware scenery from the Avsim Labrary (ergo a light memory footprint) and only had 980 Mb VAS free as reported by VAS Monitor 1.0. Usually I would expect something up around 1800 Mb with a light scenery. Is there a chance I only had a partial install/update? Regards, Tony.

hello I have started a pmdg ticket as well for this but maybe one of you guys could help me I have replaced the old windows HD with a ssd, I hade a few wrong installs of p3dv3.0 think i was just to tierd shouldnt had started this realy . anyway i couldnt get the 737 ngx to work, in the end I decided to remove all the sim and do another complete reinstall. this is were I am now, I have formatted a separate ssd drive installed p3dv3.1. activated the sim did a reboot. Recently upgraded to Windows 10 the other day and now getting this Program Pin Error message on the FMC and other little anomalies such as unable to delete entries and copy and paste functionality also. The FMC also appears to lock up & freeze then becoming unusable both on the ground and inflight. Prior to this upgrade I have never seen this message before in the NGX. Using ASN and Pro ATCX. Any clues?

When I distribute the cargo loads in TOPCAT, nothing happens with the CG value. F.x. I put 7000kg in FWD and 0kg in AFT. And I try vise versa. The CG is still 24%. I noticed that it works as it should if I change aircraft configuration (Boeing 737-800 PMDG Mixed Class.txt) in TOPCAT from PMDG Mixed Class to f.x. Ariane.
