I have just been flying free flight from Honolulu (PHNL). Was rather lonely as usual, so I logged into LiveATC honolulu tower and what a difference! I almost felt like I was part of the traffic. If we can have ghost passengers why not ghost traffic. With a bit of imagination it becomes an interesting experience. I also set real time and the wind direction and speed were identical. Just a coincidence I know. Jak

Do you have a favorite base of ops? I like flying out of Hana. It is in a cozy corner of Maui, conveniently located to make short cargo or passenger flights to nearby islands. I wish Flight would make missions where we could fly for money, from a base, purchase new planes to haul more passengers, etc. It would add continuity to the game. Cheers :drinks:

I spent an 45 mins this morning trying to figure out which combination of the FSX addons (including ones that I paid money for) gave me the least crappy looking scenery experience. The end result still wasn't that great and gave me single digit FPS in some locations. Great, so now I have to remember to think ahead and go into my settings to adjust auto-gen appropriately before I fly. That by itself is annoying enough, but, did I mention that I really only get about 1-3 hours a month to sit and fly at my computer? Sure, given enough time I would enjoy planning flights in FSX and going from cold start to shut down. I've enjoyed Falcon 4 when I used to have the time …

Like most of you, I installed Flight thru the Live system. Now Flight is available on Steam and some users have "reinstalled" Flight thru the Steam portal and I'm not sure why one would do that. I realize some have all bought all their other games and stuff through Steam and just want to put Flight in their Steam library. I realize some people just prefer Steam over Live. But, I don't have any alligence to either system and I haven't had any trouble with Live. I've purchased all the DLC before Steam was announced, but let's assume I wanted to buy the discounted bundle. Could I buy the discounted bundle through Steam even though I've installed Flight through Live?…

HiI have been getting this problem from when I first tried to run the Beta version, and now, with the released version it is still the same. Any help would be appreciated.I can install Flight no trouble at all. I can play around with the menus, and change options, no trouble at all.I am signed into Live, no trouble at all.When I press 'Play', the activity bar gets to about 95%, then I get this message - 'Flight Application Has Stopped Working'. How do I get rid of steam for Flight?

Hi, I see that I could have spent $5 less on my investment in Flight if I had waited (I don't buy cockpitless aircraft so that isn't a factor). I noticed the recommended hardware has changed. Folks Having been away for three weeks, I've only just got the update. I see that the folks at MS made the elevator trim more fine, which is great - but I don't think it's fine enough. When flight came out there was a thread here about how to tweak a file to fix that. Can anyone point me to it? I tried 14 pages back from here and about 10 foward from the back, with no luck. Since I got my GTS450, I've gotten a huge improvement in performance with Flight from the 9500GT i was running before. This has finally allowed me to record videos. Here is my first attempt at one just to see how performance is when recording. It was actually quite smooth. Anyway, here's the video:

The last 4 or 5 Aerocaches I've found just aren't being saved and I've now done them three times over. Anyone else had this issue?

Ok so I know I am lagging behind and bringing up the rear as compared to some of you die-hard's . I have been mostly flying jobs the last week or so, as I have completed all the missions, done several of the landing challenges, along with some other challenges as well, like the gold rushes and flying through hoops stuff. So I just went in and reflew the second gold ring challenge, and managed to finally get the gold in that one. Anyway I was thinking after that, you know all I really have left is to do some aerocache hunting - not really done that as of yet, though I have collected a few by happenstance. Ok, so I got my Saitek Combat Rudder pedals today and I just gave a few landing challenges a try. Not a good idea... I am keeping an eye on the ball too much, I guess, because I don't even land near the runway now. And that bloody ball suddenly jumps left and right and so I slam my pedals left and right and end up in the trees... Sooooooooo... who can tell me how to USE rudder pedals properly? When you go left apply left rudder...? All the time while going left or only at the beginning? And should I 'chase' the ball during landings or not? Should I ALWAYS try to keep the ball centered? I need some basic rudder help badly, haha!

Hello Team I love the new Microsoft Flight, in here you can do a career getting experience. But I have a problem, My Saitek Rudder Pedals are not working on brakes only the rudder axis. I have been traying normal and reverse and nothing happend, so I have to use a button from my Saitek X-52Pro button. Recently my Microsoft Flight asked for an update and I did that, expecting the solution and nothing. I know they work because I use them in the other flight simulators. How can I get both axis working? (left and right toe brakes)? Thank you.

I just got round to trying out the updated version of Flight and re configured my yoke and pedals to find that toe brakes do actually work now. Albeit aggressively when individually pressed and near on no response when both brakes are pressed together. Forgive me if this is 'old' news.

It may seem obvious, but how does one achieve the award for landing on all Hawaian airports? According to the my Awards profile I have landed at 33/30 unique airports and I am not aware of any Hawaian airports I have not landed on!

This is like a real life version of Marverick guided down Couger in the beginning of Top Gun, except the pilot was an 80 year old woman who never flew a plane before.

Hm, I see I could have gotten my addons cheaper if I had waited a little and bought it on Steam... Feels like MS is doing an Orbx, if you know what I mean. Not too pleased about it.

Hello eveyrone, I have just installed the new Microsoft Flight program via Steam, and unfortunately the game is crashing every time I attempt to load it. Perhaps someone would be kind enough to assist or point me in the correct direction as to how the issue can be resolved? When the game begins, I see the "Microsoft Flight" splash screen appears. Guys, The devs are trying to track down a bug - red squares on the terrain followed by a crash that occurs within 10-15 minutes of running the game (usually in the first or second tutorial). If you have had this problem, could you please indicate if you are using a virus scanner and which one? Thank you. Best regards. Luis

And next time wake windows, switch to flight and continue the flight. I have a big problem with finals (always had) something always needs my attention. Last time I was on final and needed to go away from computer. when come back, my daughter had switched profiles and hibernated the computer. Just to see what could happen. Waked the computer, switched back to my profile and maximized flight. It connected back to Live and presented me the resume dialogue. After that I was able to finish the mission. Good news for that late flights.

...I've been using the mouse more and more as a controller... I've been working on my VOR skills a lot lately in the RV6A but even with the controller tweak, that plane is just too twitchy and I am getting RSI of constantly pulling and pushing on the joystick, even during clear sky weather... Swtiching to the mouse control is SOOOOOOOOOOOOO relaxing and comfortable...!!! I mainly use the joystick for take off and landing now...Makes me wonder btw if MS is going to fix stuff like this in the near future or if they are only working on new DLC. Just out of curiosoty, did any of you MP guys have the chance to test if FLIGHT's propwash affects an aircrat behind you? On tarmac, placing you RV6 right behind another airplane, can you glimpse the propwash when he firewalls the throttle? Parking brake must be set and in order to be fully effective.
