As a mater of fact, the more (even if a lot less than I would love to...) play FLIGHT the more I like it, up to the point of allowing cockpitless airplanes as well into my Hangar :-) How I have changed from the good old days of FS9, FSX, ...quite in the good way I believe, because at least now, everytime I fire it up FLIGHT behaves like what it is supposed to be - a Flight Simulator as opposed to a benchmark software to measure and tweak your hardware... I really enjoy "flying" the challenges (no mission flown yet, but the initial... :-( ) the Aerocache hunting, and the ambience as a whole! So what is the fastest that you have ever flown in Microsoft Flight? My personal record probably:- 766 kts. after a climb to 37,000 feet Great fun game, and it is super, super beautiful at high altitudes. Brings a whole other element into the game, especially when you start fiddling with weather settings it can start looking absolutely stunning at times. Mike

i hope we will be able to fly from Hawaii to Alaska and beyond, lol please Microsoft. I still love FSX but i also want Flight to feel alittle more simmy :Praying:

After about 15-20 minutes of flying the systems just shuts down and reboots. Has happened now several times and only in FLIGHT. I have the newest drivers, I7 2600K, Nvidia GTX480, 16gb Ram. Any ideas would be appreciated.Bernd Jablonka

Hi,I have downloaded Microsoft Flight from here http://www.microsoft.com/games/flight/ and have installed without errors, but when the game is run it freezes my PC - I have to hold down the power button to re-start the machine. I did get the game to load twice but then it is back to crashing. It loads the initial splash page, then when the screen goes dark it either freezes there or when the animation starts. I wonder if when you buy this DLCs you get additional Missions / Challenges requiring this two models? I ask because I am seriously considering buying the Zero... :-) Why? Because I like FLIGHT and the excellent moments of fun it is giving me ... Also, I like the Zero!!!

So, i noticed an aerocache called "Curvature of the earth"...which is above the hilo apt at 80,000ft....obviously we have nothing that can get there, but never the less, i figured i'd see how close i can get in the 3 aircraft that come with the game (i do not have a p51 or maule)i was able to get the highest with the rv-6....17,000ft...like wise, get some achievements by going into a spin stall and spinning 15+ times, doing a nose dive from this alt. and hitting around 500kts, and then pulling up and hitting over 12g's.anyways...whats the highest you've been?

I use nvidia nhancer for FSX (works great etc.) ... yet now when I run Flight, the performance is aweful, even at low settings! I was running Flight great when it first came out ....before I installed nhancer... anyone else have this problem? Please don't say try Inspector ... I have an old GTX 280 M card, and must stay with the Nhancer for my older card... thanks!

I have been a beta tester since Jan 5th and although the beta closed on Feb 14th, the Devs decided to keep the beta forum open so that we could still give feedback etc.Today, they have given us the go-ahead to post on other forums so that the release of Flight might go as smooth as possible.First of all some known issues and quotes from the Dev Team about them.1.Brakes Axis ??" As posted by Destructoid and confirmed by a dev on Steam, PAX attendees can get a sneak peek at Alaska if they track down the Flight demo in the Xbox booth! Anybody know of anyone at the conference that can sneak in and see if there are any new planes? I'll update this post with info if I get any, but no promises. I don't think any of the folks I know that are going to be at the conference would be interested in checking this out...

Has anyone figured out a good way to smooth out a camera move in Flight? I notice that while moving the view with the mouse, panning/zooming - that trying to get a smooth motion motion. May be FRAPS I'd have to do some tests. I'm shooting with FRAPS at 29.97 (30fps). But really, I think it's the mouse, just seems a bit jerky even when I'm trying to be really smooth in the panning. Ok so earlier today I decide to fly a job, can't remember where I took off from, but the destination was Honolulu International, app 143km job carrying 3 passengers. I chose dusk, and isolated thunderstorms for weather. Everything was moving along nicely, wind stayed around 20-26 knts for the most part, still even with the Maule was a smooth ride at 6K ft. Of course by the time I got close, it was pitch black outside. So about 18nm away, I start descending and before long my plane was getting thrashed every which way. Hello to all of you. I have been a commercial airline pilot for six years, and four years before as a private pilot. I have flown a variety number of twin-engine aircraft and single piston engine. Since I met the Flight Simulator (95) I noticed something very strange, the rudder does not react as in real life when the plane is flying. I've used other simulators such as X-Plane and IL-2 Sturmovik and in these the rudder itself reacts like in real life. Why Flight simulator does not correct this error? Aerocache today was interesting to me. 552 Kokee Road, Kauai. A few years ago I drove that road up through Waima Canyon and remember seeing that station. Also 5000 XP. Not easy to find, good luck.

I have been playing Flight on a daily basis since it was released. However, I seem to be almost on my own in that it does not play well on my less than 2-year old hardware. I have an off-the-shelf system that meets the minimum requirements except for the video card, an ATI Radeon HD5450. This will only allow me to play the game on low graphical settings (pretty awful), or, if I up them to medium I get very bad shimmering and jerky performance. Gentlefolk I've spent far too long in multiplayer for the last couple of days. There are some things that I have noticed: A number of players have acquired Flight via Steam. They never would have heard of it unless it was on there. Many are just cruising around the in the Icon and Stearman, lamenting the cost of the extras. Some have splurged and got the lot. Since I mainly fly the cache runs, I try to get each daily aerocache even though they don't stick. Today's cache is interesting in that there are three stars shown but the points value is only shown as 1000. I flew it and sure enough, it only pays 1000 pts. I guess they're are having even more troubles with the server. Just a random thought. It seems as if all these troubles started about the time of the update and the connection to steam (which I'm not a member of). I wonder if the problem lies in trying to get the databases to sync. Hey gang, Just an observation I've made, not sure if others are effected. When I follow the checklist procedures that require the fuel boost pump on/off selection, the checklist fails to acknowledge it properly. For example, the most recent case I've seen was during the after landing list. Yes I know it's short but I do like to view them sometimes to make sure I'm not forgetting something. On that list it instructs to turn off the boost pump. Before I have the chance to mouse over and toggle the switch to the 'off' position, the checklist acknowledged it was already completed and closed.
