Hi, While checking the Big Suggestion list I saw a request for an alternate to the HUD for checking wind speed and direction as the wind socks were often too small to be seen from the cockpit. I checked this by scrolling the mouse wheel to see if I could zoom enough to be helpful. Barely. I noticed that in an external view I could magnify a much greater amount but the eyepoint was very critical to get the aircraft and the now large enough wind sock in view. I checked Cameras.cfg and saw that the Cockpit section had "MaxZoom=2" I changed his to 4 and the windsock was visible enough to be usable. Even at this setting the scenery is over-magnified. Jim F.

This one is just a suggestion... With FLIGHT we have Weather Themes as the "only" way to set weather, and we have recently reached the conclusion that no matter what Weather Theme / Season / Time of Day we choose, it is allways ISA Temp and Pressure. Well, for me the idea of setting weather this way is perfectly acceptable, but I would like to see varying parameters, specially pressure and temperature. MSFS had dew point, although I don't believe it was really used internally... Now, since users are not allowed to change the parameters their way, FLIGHT might BE THE FIRST TO GO A STEP FURTHER and implement what L.Adamson, a Mountain Flyer, surely knows very well f…

Hi i am having a problem and was wondering if anyone here could help.At the end of a passenger mission you get the scoring system, i never seem to be able to get the points for Passenger Happy.I have no clue why this is because i never hear any complaints from them during take off/in flight/landing and the Passenger Icon is constantly ticked.Could anyone advise me as to what i need to do to make the passengers happy?

Folks Went out to play weather balloon. All directions are in degrees magnetic, rather than true as they perhaps should be.: 0': 035/14 2,000': 048/15 4,000': 059/17 6,000': 066/20 8,000': 072/23 10,000': 076/26 12,000': 080/29 These were taken at PHTO, checked at PHNL and found to be the same. Would assume they apply to all airfields. Clouds: BKN at 8,000', although if someone wanted to say SCT at 7,000' I wouldn't argue. Temp: No idea Dew Point: Ditto Alt: 29.92 Might do a few more themes and post. Won't do them all - these planes are too small to be out among the giants... YMMV Mike

I am using a saitek x52 with flight. . I wonder if any here has been able to assign a second hat switch for left right and up and down views. I want the be able to move my view of the cockpit dashboard up and down in a smooth fashion ( like panning ) . I was able to assign this in fsx but here i can only get it to move in tiny increments. Any thoughts on this.? I would allow much more flexibility if this was possible Thank you in advance Peter

The things we do while waiting for Alaska.... Well, back in the old MSFS X, 9, 8.... there was that irritating bug with the turn coordinator... Not all airplanes could perform a standard rate turn in the expected 2 minutes, and for some models there was quite a huge deviation, showing either a wrongly tweaked airfile, were stability derivates and moment coeficients were fed with the wrong numbers (normaly to account for other aspects that MSFS had difficulty in replicating...) or a problem with the code of the gaugue itself. More than often a (perfectly coordinated) 2' turn, would take sometimes just 1'30'', other 2'20'', etc... I forgot to test on FLIGHT... T…

I wasn’t going to bother purchasing the Maule because I was getting this awful stuttering with the RV-6 and Icon. It seemed my ATI Radeon HD5450 just wasn’t up to the job. But all that changed after installing a little freeware utility called Antilag. What a difference that made. So, it all came good and I went ahead and purchased the Maule. So glad I did. This is a real aeroplane. Lovely to look at, lovely to fly. Has a yoke not a stick. Great visibility and wonderful handling. Great for VOR too. After some weeks now I have to say that, what there is of Flight, is very impressive so far. I think that there are high hopes that this will evolve into a really good s…

I just got around to start flying some jobs, they are interesting to say the least. Just had a passenger throw up all over the back of my nice clean aircraft. Did not seem to hurt my score at all, everyone went back to being happy. They wanted to fly with me again. I have many many more of these to do. Still love FLIGHT, still waiting for Alaska. Steve

Never saw this mentioned anywhere. For me all the cockpits are too dark. I need to turn on panel lighting to see the indications clearly. Except when the sun hits the panel from behind. And yes, my LED screen is bright enough ;) Anyone else ?

My marketplace client is showing Microsoft Flight game and most DLCs twice. I have not bought any MS Flight related products from steam but they show as purchased from steam. Even the two cockpit-less aircraft (Zero and P40) show as purchased when I have not bought them and never will. The zero is preview only, but the P40 shows both the plane and the preview as purchased. Seems GFWL Marketplace is messed up: Is Anybody else having this problem?

The Hammerhead is a very interesting maneuver, specially if correctly flown. My RL experience with it is limited to gliders, but there shouldn't be a huge difference when performing it on a light prop/jet, yet I am finding it a little too difficult in the RV6 (?) Although I have already understood that irrespective of using power at the top or not, ailleron input is a MUST in the Van's, apparently even full ailleron dflection is not enough... L.Adamson, what can you say here :-) ? Teach me please!!!!!!!

I seem to be having a problem with the Maul Landing Challenge 4. The ground texture is loading very slow and I am unable to land the plane properly to complete the challenge. flying around the area makes the texture load but only slightly, once landed and stationary for about 20 seconds the texture loads further, but still looks very poor, I don't expect the texture to look stunning, but in other areas the textures are much better and load faster. I've tried different settings (my pc happily runs ms flight maxed). (sorry if this is posted in the wrong area) flying around and over the airstrip trying to land..

You know I got to wondering whilst flying a job recently in the Maule, It has been stated with the current eco system that Flight has, they are able to get usage data like they never have been able to in the past, and use that data to help tailor Flight as it grows, to the user needs. I wonder how much they actually crunch that information? For instance, in the past it has been some concern by folks here, and elsewhere, whenever an airplane that was basic only, ie no virtual cockpit, was released and offered for sale as DLC. The concern being, if folks buy that plane, it would send a message to MS that it is ok to release aircraft like that, as folks would buy it…

With less than 12 hrs flown in FLIGHT :-( and no more tha 112000 points I am yet to start my Missions, get a few more achievements, etc... The hardest part are those Hilo Bay and Windfarm challenges... I can't finish on time, I crash everywhere :-(((((( OMG! Usually after "finishing" a round on Hilo or Windfarm, I start ELITE and perform a down to minima ILS approach in order not to feel so bad .... I remember things were a lot easier in Acceleration, on that RedBull exhibition... Well, it's probably because I really am getting old ....

Hi everyone..since re-installing FLIGHT I have been unable to access any Aerocache's nor have I been able to log into the MS FLIGHT servers..I get "Aerocache of the Day is not available" and the little plimsoll-line icon in-game (Map screen) telling me I'm not connected to the servers.. I am connected to GFWL, as I can read my profile and achievements in-game.. Any ideas? Thanks in advance jake

Hi, I downloaded and installed MS Flight late last night. I was able to run the program with no problem and "accomplished" 3 missions and a couple of other activities. I was in and out of the program several times in the wee hours of this morning. I had managed to get my joystick and another controller configured for it and managed to figure out how to use the mouse to move eyepoint and perspective. I had a long way to go to figure out if I was willing to continue using this product and maybe even invest some money adding things but I was enjoying what I was doing. While I was doing all of this I made several attempts to create an account and log onto "Live". …

Folks Since we're all flying in US airspace in Flight, could some who has time in it confirm or correct some assumptions I have: It's not polite to blast into and around a pattern in a high performance a/c at cruise speed - that you should slow to something like 120kts to allow for the fact that there might be a C152 (Icon, Stearman etc) stooging around the pattern at 95kts (or less). (obviously this doesn't apply to the commuter airliners, and in my experience people give way to them anyway) Probably less of an issue at a controlled airport as the guy or girl in the tower can arrange separation - but we don't have any of those yet. Radio calls are made at 10 mi…

Apparently PRESSURE is fixed, no matter, what time of day, day of year or weather scenario you choose. I can't talk about the temperature. I didn't try to find two aerodromes at the same altitude to check if PRESSURE varies with location (Lat/Lon), though.... I believe the same must happen with temperature, maybe with a day/night variation that was one of the settings in FSX.

Hi all. Do we all have this mix in Flight? In my profile I have highest alt. in meters, also highest speed (1.347 km/h, not with the Icon!) When checking a/c data, for example, range is in km, not nautical miles. Must be frustrating for someone who downloads the game, new to aviation, and try to figure out how much fuel they need for a job. We can do it. Right? :Nerd: If this is standard in Flight, I hope the dev´s add an option for settings, hate the mix, but love Flight. Goran

... between Jeroen's VOR thread, getting directed to the low level enroute chart online by friends in multi-player, printing off the plates for the available ILS and VOR/DME approaches and starting to make head & tail of it all.... I rather would like a light twin to fly around in. It would be handy if it had an autopilot so that I could flick through paper and play with radios without as much risk of planting the plane in the sea. I think they need to move the Kona VOR to the current location since all of the charts and routes in that part of the chain are based on it! I know I can do that in the other MS sim, but I can't be chatting away to the gaggle I'm flying …

Well, I dusted off my Nvidia stereo shutter glasses to try out Flight. Although I think the glasses are a novelty at best, I have to admit they work well in Flight. The cockpits are gorgeous with no weird graphic glitches. The real treasure was flying the Stearman. What a hoot! It was like, well, driving a bus from the back seat!

Hi, 304 degrees to Upolu (on the 124 radial). Somebody's making this a lot more complicated than it needs to be. At least, that's my best guess. Jim F.
