OK...I am about to give up here I am in Toronto, Ontario. I have been trying to download the free red-tails P51. I find it on the Xbox live site....says it free. good. So I click Buy for PC. Pop up comes up confirming purchase. two buttons to press. either Billing information, or Cancel. I hit Billing information. I go to a info site, but it's only for folks in the US. I can't change it to Canada, thus I cannot fill out the fields. How do I do this? -matt thx in advance

...............................almost. :LMAO: I could not find anything that would bring the last 2 digits up to 55. I am going to take it easy from now on and quit the grinding for a while. The only reason it shows the Icon as my favourite plane is because I have used it the most for the gold rush challenges. The RV-6 is my favourite plane. ( The 100 aerocache award and the pentacontacache achievement unlocked with no problem. ) I really hate those in game avatars !! The 1st guy looks like a coke dealer from some dodgy part of Honolulu and the 2nd guy looks like his best customer. The one I use looks like a Lear-Jet pilot with an attitude. lol Fred.

Ok so I have commented on a couple of other threads, however since I pushed very heavily and encouraged as many folks as I could to email the Flight Team early on, of our desires to get Track IR support implemented into Flight, I felt it deserved it's own thread. So a big Thank You for listening to us, a section of what some might call hard core simmers, or at least hard core enough to have Track IR for our flight sims. I have very much enjoyed Flight for what it offers since release, but always had that lacking feeling - that feeling of going back several years in flight sims, to where we did not have Track IR. It makes such a large difference for me, now I can enjo…

The only good thing about my dog waking me up at 2:45 and me not being able to go back to sleep is being surprised by the Flight update! The main menu now has an Alaska background, and there is some Alaska footage in the game's intro video. And... TrackIR support! The difference with TrackIR is undescribable...

Posted by MS on Facebook. "Prepare for takeoff! While exploring over 600,000 square miles of new scenery, 565 airports and 137 seaplane bases in the Land of the Midnight Sun, you’ll encounter new Gold Rushes, Challenge Courses and Landing Challenges. You’ll also receive a basic version of the Carbon Cub. Get ready to tackle the Alaskan wilderness, coming soon on Games for Windows—LIVE and Steam" That makes me want to cry... I was really hoping for a cockpit on that one. I hope they have at least a deluxe version for purchase or something. Like an upgrade option. I MEAN THAT COCKPIT IS AS SIMPLE AS IT GETS! Why not model it and get some extra money out of it…

This subforum of AVSIM is dedicated to MS Flight and the users that like to play the game. Feel free to talk about all aspects of MS Flight, but keep it civil and mature. There is one important rule: do not post 'oneliners' in which you only bash Flight (or only praise another flying game). Such posts, which add nothing useful to any topic, will be removed without notice. Repeat, and you will be removed too. If you don't really like Flight, for whatever reason, you might consider visiting another forum because this one is mainly meant for those who enjoy playing the game. BTW Replies to the kind of posts I just mentioned are prone to being removed also without any…

No, not me, brother. I was smart and took a look first. Anytown USA, Juneau Another Anytown USA, Anchorage Bet these guys get a lot of business. Crowded, crowded Lake Hood Too many people in Alaska, Isn't this supposed to be the Last Wilderness? If Google Street View has gone there, then it's not for me! But, what about the places where there isn't a Street View? Fire Island Airport Now, I'm starting to like it. And this place is really nice - Talachulitna River Airport OK, now we're talking. This is getting much better. And Shishmaref Airport Wow! Is th…

Of course I'll be in the front line :-) buying Alaska when it gets available tomorrow (?).... Now that the MP is running smooth, what about some gathering for commemorating the 600,000 sq km????? I am really enjoying the "Heavy" weather theme... Gusts and windshear, variable visibility, a true MUST! In Alsaka it'l just fit, I believe :-) I'v travelled very few times out of my country... I used to say that I knew the World thx to MSFS :-) Curiously, maybe due to the National Geographic magazines I used to read when I was a teenager, I allways had a wish in terms of a place to visit... - Alaska! Never really had a good scenery for that area in MSFS, so, at l…

  9. I was really waiting for this update, and love, ABSOLUTELY LOVE the ability to use my TrackIR again. Haven't used it since flying FSX a while ago. Also the graphics (all set to max/high) are silky smooth. There were just a few places around Pearl Harbor where it appeared just barely under smooth (sorry didn't have fps info in front of me), but all in all, VERY smooth. And I didn't notice the scenery chugging behind either. Nice! :Peace: So here's my part I: and part II: These are just me having fun, not being precise or following procedures. I even took off with the wind behind me (kind of a no-no). So don't hate. Just consider the recordings a de…

  11. OK. I got some screen caps of the new intro video were they spliced in a few scenes of Alaska, including a NEW aircraft. Many of the forum members improperly identified this as a "J3 Cub" or a "Super Cub" but its NOT!!! Its.... Drum roll please. ITS A CARBON CUB!!!!!!! Why do I say Carbon Cub? Simple. I cant find that coweling on ANY Piper or Super cubs, only on the Carbon Cub. Here is a screenshot from the intro movie. Compare that with the Carbon Cub coweling, and the rake of the front glass. VS the Piper And the Super …

  12. I was flying a few missions before the update just to upgrade my "passenger level of satisfaction" after a few accidents that brought it bellow 75%, and I was already up to 84% again, when I installed the patch... Well, I confess I was using th "N" key to jump to the next checkpoint, and before the patch there was no stability problem in doing so after takeoff. It would simply bring you to approach phase, but the aircraft would start in that phase perfectly satbilized. Now almost every time I use the "N" key after takeoff, when the airplane respawns at the approach phase it jumps up, and the passenger imediately complain, sometimes even throw off :-(.... Of course, i…

I tried programming the Map key ( letter M) to my joystick so I could pull up the map without looking down at the keyboard. It works fine to pull up the map, but when I hit the button again to toggle back to the regular cockpit view or whatever view I was in, nothing happens. I have to go back and press the M key on the keyboard to get the map view to toggle off. Anyone found a workaround for this?

  16. I believe this is what changed, at least for the Maule and the RV6, althought it wasn't listed in the list of modifications announced with the patch... Actually I don't think either p-factor or slipstream were indeed changed...(to be honest I don't even believe MS ever modelled p-factor...) Both account for yawing moments, and p-factor affects primarily tailldraggers during takeoff, ile slipstream has it's effects under many flight situations. Torque seems to be the "prop effect" that reallly got "edited" for this patch... The lift coefficients of the flaps in the Maule also apparently changed, and I do believe parasite drag was also tweaked.... This, IMH…

Just an idea, but seems to be conclusive. 1. Lots of people complaining about cockpitless airplanes 2. P-51 Redtail is given away for free: MS counting utilization (?) to see if it is the prize or just the fact of having no cockpit that people are complaining. 3. Alaska will be released with another free cockpitless aircraft: Upgradable to Deluxe for a few bucks (?) Then they will have a clue about the situation. 4. No idea until now... Just want to know to complete my conspiracy idea what is the most selling aircraft on XBOX Live in your country? To get the info you need to go to: marketplace.xbox.com/xx-XX/Product/Microsoft-Flight/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d…

Hey guys, could not find anything yet. With the update, rudder break axis seems to be working, my only problem is they are reversed. Not pressed and my breaks are on full, pressed and they release. I tried toggling the reverse axis just to see if it helped anything and it fixed my right break axis, but not my left (and now my elevator axis was reversed). Any quick fix? Thanks!

  20. 1st ever new topic post... definite newb! Have been a successful mouse pilot up til now. Just plugged in my saitek cyborg evo force and thought I'd try it out in Flight. Took off from Honolulu and had to fight the software wanting to pitch my nose up for 5 minutes before I quit in disgust. Please advise me of possible remedies to fix the saitek cyborg evo force pitch up problem. Off-topic - I love the helpful and friendly attitudes of 99.9% of ppl on AVSIM! Love your work!

  21. As titled. I still need to reinstall all the downloaded aircraft files, so I only saw UFOs and a couple of other stationary planes, but they moved real nicely! Very impressed. For those without trackir, checkout Camera Mouse, it works REAL well and tracks your facial features, allowing x and y movement (not 6dof but heck, it can save $$$ and still allows you to look around)

As someone who uses a small 30gb SSD for my OS, storage is tight. (And let me just get this out of the way- I'm getting a new SSD within the 4-5 months). All games (including Microsoft Flight) are installed on secondary hard disk drives. I've installed well over 40 games over the past few years and I only experience these kind of issues with Microsoft games specifically; they seem to always install extra things to the root hard drive. After the latest patch, I noticed that my SSD lost about 500mb of space. After some further investigation, I noticed most of the new files were located in the eHome folder (located in C:/ProgramData/Microsoft). After a little investigati…

This is something I wanted to do before Alaska comes out, so I'm looking for words of advice about moving the DLC. Flight itself is installed on my drive E:, but I had used the default settings to install the DLC (drive C:) and have left them there, even after RTM. I want to uninstall the Hawaii scenery and Maule, RV-6 and Mustang(s) and then reinstall them after changing the target directory in the Live thingy. What should I back up prior to attempting this? I wouldn't worry so much, but during the beta I changed my OS from XP64 to Win7 and it's caused me a ton of problems ever since. I'm pretty sure I'll have more issues, even with what should be a simple task. …

  24. Maule in snow! Snow covered trees! More proof that there are seasons! New Carbon Cub The details are very well done. You can see control cables, and lots of fine details if you look close. Stearman running a new hoops course in Alaska. Small town in Alaska. Note the snow covered roofs. Snow looks a little flat honestly. Should have a spec or normal on there to bring out some details. More Carbon Cub! Note the detail in the tail wheel. Very well done I think. And no, I did not model this one! Profile of the Carbon Cub. Note the high level of rake on the front wind shield. NOT A PIPER! P…

  25. Hi, please correct the headline! It is Cub not Cup! To see the Carbon Cub SS for Flight, after the Icon A5 is just amazing, as I recently purchased both of them! ;-) Ok, only out of hard foam. The painting of the Carbon Cup SS is excactly the same as in FLIGHT. Seems that the manufactures of both aircraft have a good marketing strategy to arouse interest in their aircrafts. Please give us a Discus 2c, Ventus, ASG29, Duo Discus, Arcus, or whatever glider for towing!!!!
