I just noticed my posting time on my posts is 2pm yet it's 10am where I'm at. Is there a setting in my profile to correct this? Scratch that, it's worse than I thought... It's saying 4:21pm...

I blew up the map view and used it to follow the valleys from point A to point B.

Are there any other detailed airport with aerial photo ground other than Kodiak. So far I only count one that is on par with airports in Hawaii. It seems as if the team initially intended only to model an area similar to Hawaii with greater details.

I just completed a $100 hamburger flight, and I did it using the free P-51! I've never seen it available for those flights before. Needless to say, the passenger was not pleased with the fact that in such a high powered plane, it's easy to find yourself pulling a few G's, nor with the fact we climbed above FL 200, where he said he couldn't breathe. Has anyone seen the P-51 available for those flights before?

Maybe someone can enlight me here. I have no complains about the graphics on my old gtx 460. I have settings on high and sometimes maximum. And everything looks fine to me. But now i have the new 304 (beta)driver for my videocard installed. That has the new FXAA antialias setting in it. Anyone who has experience with that en what are the best settings? Now i have ingame setting high and in the driver enhaced application setting-FXAA-2x. Someone any ideas about this? Should i turn ingame setting off when using driver settings? Framerate is 30 or 60 with vsync on. btw that driver has also adaptive vsync. What must give less stutter. My experience is that it give more…

This one got me to fly the Carbon Cub.... I sure wish I had one of these when I was flying realworld. All it really needs is an airspeed indicator, turn and bank and an altimeter... The hud gave me two of them.

But, right now, I am on final to Shishmaref Airport (on Shishmaref Inlet, naturally :LMAO: ) I'm a little high, but with this baby, I don't really need a lot of runway and can land on any part of it, preferably close to the hangar. I have the Steam version of Flight (so that I could get the Hawaii starter bundle). I'm itching to get Alaska, but I'm worried that if I try to get it from the Microsoft Marketplace, there will be some compatibility issues. Do users of the Steam version of Flight have to wait for the Steam download, or can we use the Microsoft Marketplace as well? Has anyone tried this?

I am a casual flight sim player who has no prior knowledge or experience with flying real airplanes. I don't own the expanded version of Hawaii or the Alaska DLC but I sure do have a fun time enjoying what I do have so far! My question to the community is: 1. I am new to Game (never play game on computer before), but I start in February with Flight. This is more then a game for me because I discover about flying. I just want to point out that Microsoft must have great plan with Flight, because I notice a lot of Awards that will be impossible to acheive without major upgrades. Ex: Diamond Passenger Award. 1,000,000 passengers transport. I am sure they have plan for commercial jet. Thank you

Sure takes a long time to get anyhere, think I have to call for a fuel drop if anyone can hear me. Nasty weather, could not see the short gravel strip until I was right over it. Wearing this Hawaiian shirt is not going to cut it, burr. I must be missing something because I don't see a updated career path or new pilot caractures?

My download took just about an hour for the 7 packs to get the Alaskan Wilderness and the cockpitless cub. I had not played with Flight for a couple of months so I was required to upgrade to the most up to date version prior to purchasing the new stuff. The red tail P-51 (also sans cockpit) is a freebe. Just took my first flight in Alaska. Since I had flown a real aircraft there, I decided to fly an area that I knew, so I started at Anchorage INTL, which by the way, is the largest Air Cargo airport in the World. I flew first to Kenai airport which has a VOR and an ILS. I flew down Cook Inlet for awhile then tracked the VOR to near the airport, switched on the ILS frequency and flew the ILS approach to 19. By the way, the avionics in the Maule all work perfectly. Most people carefully choose on which drive they want to install Flight but leave the other GFWL folders, like the DLC one, default. Don't. Afaik the DLC folder is not a folder where some sort of installers are downloaded to after which stuff gets installed into the Flight folder. The DLC is used directly by Flight. So if you have Flight on an SSD or on a drive that has good performance or that has a lot of room (or whatever reason you picked a specific drive for Flight) make sure to also put the DLC folder on it! I find a bit odd that a lot of people only want to invest in MS Flight if they know what the future of Flight will be or if there will be a future... They want to know what will follow after Alaska and/or if there will be a plane with a VC. Otherwise... they won't invest money in it. Invest...? Invest?!? Looking through the possible awards list and paused at the exceed Mach 3 award. My imagination fails me at coming up a small, light plane of the type flight favors that could reach those speeds. Any ideas?

Wow, 4 hours to download 7 parts. Looks great, but.................. Besides the Carbon Cub with no VC I see no other new aircraft at this time. I really did expect some new, more capable aircraft with cockpits. Steve

Just had a look at the marketplace option after entering flight. When you go to aircraft and into the dropdown filter menu it offers different categories: basic, cargo, deluxe and passenger. I have the maule and rv6 already so deluxe is empty at the moment, but seems they are certainly planning for more, and widening the type of planes they offer. Wonder what passenger means...
