I parked my Icon on the roof and popped the canopy to take in the view, but when I hit E to step out I fell to the ground on the inside of the hotel. I was trapped inside invisible hotel walls, but luckily E got me back in the plane. Roof walking is probably not high on the dev team's todo list, but it's odd that the plane and landing gear can rest on the roof, but the virtual pilot view falls through. Anyway, it was a good laugh.

I just went to try a $100 hamburger in Alaska and noticed it says I have to complete the Wedding Party first! #####? I looked and all my missions and challenges have been reset! All my aerocaches are still "achieved" and my XP level is what it should be. There are two things I may have done that may have caused this: 1) I backed up and moved my .cfg file so that it would regenerate a new one and I could look at the settings. I then restarted Flight. 2) I started Flight w/o an internet connection in my truck at lunch a couple days ago. I may have done 1 and 2 at the same time at some point, I can't remember. Should this have deleted all my completed…

What do you guys use to plan flights? Im using www.airnav.com/airports but its still abit of a pain (its good once your in the air but abit hard to plan) Its bad when you have to load up fsx to make a flight plan for a modern sim. A site that you can input origin and destination and see near by Nav aids is what im looking for

I finally got around to seeing the movie. Very good movie and quite a tribute to the TUSKEGEE AIRMEN. Great CG battle reenactments of the huge B-17 bomber streams over Germany. Yes, it was, of course played to the hilt Hollywood style, but a good story never the less. I think we all know how it turned out. Many good people died on both sides.

Holly (expletive deleted) you want me to land where!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, hold onnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Once again, this was Pilot and 3, count em 3 passgengers and their bags, plus a full fuel load. A bug I think! Even the Maule could not do that.

While flying north from Denali on a flight towards Fairbanks, I noticed this left of what I think is the river Healy. Anyone seen this before? Are those some sort of pipelines...? Or a bugged road...?

Anyone got the new V2.0 of GMAP for FLIFGHT working? I keep getting "cannot connect to FLIGHT" on it..Have tried all the different combos of starting order Anyone? Ta

Let’s recap. Most of us thought that Flight would be FS11. But all of the previews were based in Hawaii? Well, that’s OK we said, all of the previews of FSX were based in Netherlands Antilles – just a showcase, and so that doesn’t mean anything. Then Flight was released and, shock horror, it is just Hawaii. But hey, this is a new approach. Should be called the *rap, not the map. It is useless. Can we have a scale marker? Can we have proper topo? Can we have a search? Can we have a selectable level of detail when zoomed out? Can we have a proper filter? I know some of this has all been articulated already by others, but....I can't even FIND the base I am trying to job to! (anyone know where Icy Bay is?! I have been trying several times to get Flight to show my aerocache list but just cannot connect to Flight in game anyone else got this problem.....game running OK but no connection shown.

Anyone having problems downloading the experience pack? I managed to pay for it via the game version of live, but the download keeps failing. I've clicked on the Alaska option in the world button too. So keep up the screens and videos for us poor guys!

Is there really a mosque in Fairbanks, AK? After a little searching I found there is one in Anchorage but not Fairbanks. It looks like a mosque but maybe it's something else.

Something I saw on my first flight in Alaska looks a bit weird, don't know if It's a glitch in the scenery or that It is supposed to look like this...

These are the things which I find fun in Flight and really want to explore Alaska but doing these.

I'm really trying to like Flight but I'm fed up with trying to land in Alaska at airfields with a giant sequoia on the threshold!! This is like the dark days of MS Flight Sim. I know this DLC didn't cost a lot but it also doesn't give you a lot. Airfields that are impossible to land at, no missions/caches, only a rubbish cockpitless aircraft. I want this sim to succeed but MS seem determined to send it to an early grave.

When things get too crazy, breathe in the fresh air and take in the views!

I've downloaded and installed Alaska - scenery is beautiful and the external airplane views are great - but I can't get an in the cockpit panel view in any of my planes - like the Maule for example - they all work fine if I shift back to Hawaii - obviously I've missed some key aspect of the new addon in terms of flying from inside the cockpit - I know the Cub that comes with Alaska doesn't have a cockpit view - but what about the othe airplanes? Anybody else having this issue? Is there a keyboard command I'm missing? Thanks Bill

Did a job, Yakotat to Hoonah. Carbon Cub, pilot plus (3) passengers and full fuel, 153 miles. I took off from the taxieway in about 60 feet. The flight was uneventful, no problem. Amazing aircraft. The passengers were not at happy being all cramed in to such a tiny aircraft with no front end. And a very tall fur tree right at the end of the runway. Love it.

Hello all. I've installed Flight about a month ago and played with it like 3 times. All in all it was nice, but living in the Caribbean; Hawaii pack really wasn't my cup of tea so I decided to wait for Alaska and never bothered with the expansion pack or planes. Now that alaska is out, there seems to be no way to purchase it. It doesn't accept my pay-pal, and I can't add my credit card since the country is locked in as U.S, but the billing address is not. So can anyone help or guide me to a site that allows for a international credit card ? :unknw:

So finally this afternoon, I get the Alaska DLC. Whew, when I was home recovering from surgery I was all on top of this stuff, now that life and work are back to normal, my time is squeezed substantially. So anyway, after reading about Alaska after it was released, I was dissappointed it did not have a new plane with a VC. But then I thought, as someone mentioned in another thread, surely there must be some coming - after all, they did go through the trouble to implement Track IR support. Haven't bought Alaska yet and don't know if I will. But I just would like to know if they have it in the new Alaska DLC. Like in the summer it should be daylight all day and night and in the winter it's pretty much dark day and night. Happens when you come north of the polar circle. And can you see Aurora Borealis(Amazing light effects in the sky in the winter months)?
