I am confused by this that just happened. What is this?

I have downloaded the initial installer, but have yet to download and install Flight. I will be doing so here in the next couple of days or so.I have been reading a lot of posts on this forum, some positive, some negative, some that got deleted - but just wanted to share my thoughts, on why I think Flight may very well be a good thing for the flight sim community.I have been flying FSX now , off and on, since it's initial release. I also had purchased, some previous versions, but cannot say the same for them. I was wondering if the DLC packages will have dependency on purchasing other DLC packages. For example, if they had a Reno Air Races scenery/mission DLC, and it required you to own the full Hawaii DLC first, but then you needed to purchase a Sukhoi DLC plane to compete... you get where I am going...

I see some posts guys telling, mine was at 99% and so on.Where do I check this?

OK, so I downloaded Flight and tried to sign in to Live. The product key didn't come up so I saw the FAQ on the site about that exact problem. It says to click "Buy game" on this page: http://marketplace.x...15-d8044d5308d2The problem is whenever I click "Confirm Purchase" in comes up with a message saying "Sorry, Your purchase cannot be completed at this time. Please try again."Anyone else in my position or who has the solution?Sorry for the change in font :)

Hi guys, new member here...I recently tried this game, like many of you, and i thought it was quite fun or w/e for a game that tries to capture flight sim.... from what i've read (on here and in other places) a lot of people really dont like this new game....can you help me understand why? I am using a older joystick but everything works fine expect I cant turn when I taxi. I move joystick left and right and it just goes strait. Can someone please help me on this. Thanks

Ok in some of the caches it says that you may have to walk or use a chopper to find some but are there any in the game yet?

Trying a new mission and has the stearman as aircractit tells me to signin to live I sign in then asks me for a product key Where do I get this key? Do I need to buy somethiing?Its states sign in for more free missions Now I am confusedany help is appreciated

Have been giving flight a good test this evening. Some quick thoughts:The stearman was not something I was looking forward to, but the flight model seems pretty good. Not a bad plane, for free.The Hawaii pack is a great buy. I'm enjoying checking out the islands, which i know well from fsx. Way better scenery than my $100 payware-covered fsx hawaii, the cities aren't great (look a bit cartoon-like imho) but the airports and countryside are really impressive. My fsx fs dreamteam hawaii airports have more detail, but the graphics engine of flight just makes everything look smoother and more realistic on landing. Would love the airports to be 'alive' like fsx, but not for no…

This evening I did my first mission, a hamburger one, and I loved it. The distance was some 15 nm and all in all that was a perfect distance for such a mission. I was very surprised, if not flabbergasted, to see that all other missions were something like around 200 nm long...!!! Does MS really think that a new MS Flight user is going to fly 200 nm in a Stearman or Icon...?Now luckily they implemented the skip function (great idea, although I haven't used it yet), but what's the fun in skipping everything... I do enjoy the jobs, I like the idea a lot, but I want jobs that let me fly 15 to maximum 50 nm (which is long enough already on a slow plane). I refuse to fly 150 or…

Ok... so I decided to forget about Track IR for a while because it kept me from enjoying MS Flight. So today I approached the game with a differend mindset. Instead of just looking for things that might be wrong, I decided to do some challenges! Great!- Shoot. Can't do any challenges because my XP isn't high enough...?- Missions it is then. Microsoft Flight, lets get to it. First thing is that it is available via download which gets a thumbs up from me because it is green and environmentally safe. I'm just buying or leasing a series of 0's and 1's so no need to pollute the planet with left over cardboard and plastic. Downloadable continent or (DLC) does have a downside to the economy though as it removes the shop owner and their employees from the mix. Land your ICON on the water near the beach. Press E to exit the aircraft and wade to the shore, then go for a stroll on the beach etc. Hopefully your aircraft will still be there when you return. Hi all,Not impressed with this product, never the less I am trying to give it ago, but the throttle is stuck at 85%. The keyboard controls have no effect and I have a joystick with throttle by while I can see it in the options, it has no affect on the a/c throttle.If there is no resolution Flight wings it's way into the recycle bin.Cheers

I was doing an awesome hamburger job, cruising along nicely in my RV6 and then I suddenly noticed something... I was shocked... Blurries... I almost cried. I flew over a city and I noticed it didn't look to good and while flying over it I could see the textures loading. It didn't take long before the blurries were gone but they were there and they were obvious.Ok, I am running with the settings maxed out but I have a i5 2500K @ 4.5 and a GTX580... Just did a (great) flight with the RV6 but I notice I do have heavy banding here and there all the time. The shadows seem to be moving constancly and aren't steady, which results in very obvious banding everywhere. I also get shimmering trees, specially looking through the (moving) prop.Maybe I am using the wrong settings for my GTX580? I use PMDG's settings with nVidia Inspector. Maybe I need other settings...? Anyone else noticed this?

I use CH Flight Sim Yoke, Pedals, and Throttle Quadrant. Having a little problem in trying to calibrate the controls.Just what is the proper procedure for calibrating after going to the Aircraft Controls section? For instance, the aielron selection shows "Aielron Axis, Aielron Left, Aielron Right". How do I perform the calibration? Don't want to seem like the village idiot here but I can't seem to get the controls to perform correctly. Do I select the Axis or Left and Right?Thanks for any guidance.Jim

I can't find that Any key anywhere on my keyboard. Please help! Just kidding of course. Seriously though: I really wonder why I have to Press Any Key To Continue on a pc game that's not ported from a console (where it does have a function). Why...?
