GuysI've been really enjoying the "Move Eyepoint" feature in the virtual cockpit. To use it hold down the mouse wheel and then move the mouse up/down/left/right. It is a good idea to press Spacebar first to disengage the Mouse control mode if you are flying with the mouse.I use this when taxiing the Stearman to move my head out the side of the canopy for better visibility. But I noticed that it doesn't stop there. You can move your viewpoint further, outside of the fuselage, or even to the wingtip! Up and down movements can be just as extreme, you can position your viewpoint between the undercarriage, behind a wheel or above the propeller!By the way, I now do most of…

Hello,Fellow Simmers, we must remember that Flight is a game more than a Sim. With that in mind, we shouldn't have too high of expectations...With that said, I think it is a good game! Being a "simmer" for many years, I am finding FLIGHT a good compliment to FSX. If I want to "sim", I will open FSX...If I want to play a game having to do with flying, I will open FLIGHT.Now moving on to another thought........I have found that if I want to make FLIGHT more enjoyable, I will open up LIVEATC.NET and have Honolulu International ATC play in the background while I am flying around Oahu........My humble opinions...Paul

HiDoes anyone knows if there will be plan for jetliners like Airbus/Boeings as well as other territories (US, Europe ?)... I am surprise that MS does not communicate on that....For the meantime, I have manage to port the PMDG 737NGX into flight + a couple of Fly Tampa sceneries but I wish we could get more.thank youGregPS : The NGX and Flytampa statement is OF COURSE a ....joke..

I downloaded Flight last night and have to admit that it looks very nice. I bought the Hawaii addon (what a sucker!) but can't seem to find the hanger or do anything except the initial mission where you fly around the baloons. I just have the option to start the mission?

In an effort to see what the ratio of downloads to DLC purchases is among our membership i would like to ask if you did or did not purchase additional content? , yes or no .

So I finally used Google maps to put today's aerocache on the map. Had the Aerocache finder or whatever it's called turned off, and started. I don't want to give anythig away here, but the scenery is exact to what the map shows. As I was approaching the area, Honokohoa Marina, where the aeroC had to be, I didn't see the usual little yellow circle to indicate it. I'm saying to myself, it has to be here, then boom, hear the ding and right in front of me was the aerocache. Very cool!

Just wondering does anyone know of anyone trying to bring the two sims together where you could fly in Hawaii in flight and still use the graphicalengine and scenery for the rest of the world in FSX.Probably already been answered here but I could not find it.Could this even be possible because I would love to have the best of both worlds with flights new graphics and fsx world view.

Installed Flight and even changing the settings on my graphics I am not able to run flight. Just a collage of corrupt video. It runs the game with the voices in the background but does not display at all. I'm running on my HP laptop that is I5 with 8 gigs of ram with a ATI HD6370, I updated the drivers but it meets all the specs. I run FSX on this system with med to high settings and get a constant 20 to 25 FPS. Thanks for any help.

Hello,I am a new member to the avsim.net forums. I would like to take this time to introduce myself and explain why I joined and also to explain this post.My name is Gabe and I haven't played any hardcore simulation airplane games before. I would like it noted that I do OWN Microsoft Flight Simulator X: GE but I played it with, get ready, a game controller. I recently heard about Microsoft Flight and relished the opportunity to continue my meager experience at an easy level for flying. I downloaded the game and was pleasantly surprised at the game. The graphics are decent, though there are some stutterings, and the planes look good to me. The lack of content is a little s…

Wondering if anyone else is having a bit of trouble stopping or configuring controller buttons to apply brakes? No matter the aircraft, braking seems ineffective until reaching about 10 kts, then the brake squeal and slight nose forward reaction occurrs. I have gone in and out of the options a dozen times and unmapped everything except the keyboard (Z,X, and C default keys) and a button on the Pro FIight Yoke. The yoke button does not work, neither do the Saitek pedal toe brakes, which I understand is normal. This is making for awfuly long rollouts on these tiny strips! Thanks!Cheers,

Hi all,Not that my opinion matters, but I wanted to give a quick review after a few days. In fact, I brought my PC out of storage for the main purpose of installing Flight (I bought a new iMac a few weeks ago.)I've been a simmer since the Commodore 64 days, and have tallied many hours, and dollars in sceneries/aircraft. I'm not a real world pilot, but enjoy FS, and recently XP10.I, personally (again, flying every sim since the early 80's) am a bit saddened that we, simmers, were not given the next step after FSX. A new sim, with an open world, new upgrades, new dynamics, etc. I totally understand that MS is going more mainstream and console, but we, the hardcore simme…

Hi everyone. This is only my second post here, but I've learned much from other's posts. I just wanted to share my reactions to Flight--most of my reactions have been written about by others, but here are a couple thoughts... I was disappointed initially, but quickly learned to appreciate some of Flight's features. I initially rued the loss of a Replay mode, but after more use and facility with other views, it's no longer a deal breaker--for one thing, Flight's cockpiit view is now alive in that it seems to have a bit of the "head latency" effect (which EZCA supplies in FSX). It's not a large, intrusive effect, but enough to add life to the simulation. Also, the sou…

I was wondering why everybody was talking about how bad the cloulds were. They looked really good to me then I watched a video and I can see what they are talking about. I run all settings on high and they look great. So maybe an upgrade to your graphic card will help.

Do yourself a favor and do the Kayaker Search and Rescue mission. Man, this sim is getting better every day. The graphics are awesome, the mood is great! I love how you constantly fly through some sort of very light morning haze: you can almost feel the morning cold. It looks so awesome! I also love the shadows in the morning. And when you fly along the coast, which is the best ever, you sometimes notice the sunlight flickering when you fly into the shadows. So real! ALso flying towards the sun makes everything darker. It is SO MUCH better then anything I have ever seen in FSX! Doing the mission itself is also big fun! (It makes the world more alive when you hear people t…

I just did the Kayak rescue mission and it was AWESOME and it looked GREAT but... WHY o WHY is that line of white text with my next goal CONSTANTLY onscreen...? And not in a corner, very tiny or something, but right in the freakin' middle of the screen where I look all the time! It completely ruins the immersion!!!Ues, I know this has been reported already in the beta phase, but I simply wanted to give it some more attention because besides not having Track IR this really is something that HAS TO GO! It's a SHAME to ruin awesome graphics with a line of text like this. Get rid of it, please. :wink:As I posted elsewhere already, the same goed for the Press N to skip messag…

A comment from an 'observer'... one who has no stake, issues or interest in or with Microsoft Flight, or animosity towards the designers or parent entity of the product, nor to anyone who has used or is using Flight presently. To be honest, someone who participated in the previous iteration of this Forum; sometimes sarcastically, sometimesarrogantly, sometimes ignorant of the facts, feelings and experiences of fellow posters, and sometimes, normally. It's been 4¼ days since MS Flight was released to the masses, and since this Forum was 'reborn', so to speak. This Forum, like MS Flight, is like a maturing infant; going through teething pains, 'the terrible twos', slowly evolv…

Enjoying this immensly, I am an avid simmer in FSX, Mainly VFR so I want to discuss Flight, the land challenges in RV-6 impressed me and I enjoyed the ILS landings but I find it hard as it seems im constantly fighting with the needles. When I intercept the localizer and turn to a heading of 24 for runway 24 with visability at less than 100ft in challenge 6 in the RV-6. It seems the centerline needle doesnt automatically adjust to say im right, heading 24 etc. It shows either left or right bank is needed to centerline. So i either bank left or right so I'm on course and the needle constantly tells me to either bank left or right and im fighting with it constantly and when I…

Hi,At the moment im using a Logitech 3d extreme for Flight. I also used my Saitek config. But due to the turbulence the Maule is very hard the fly. Im rocking up and down not able to at least, trim the aircraft to an ideal position. As i take off the trim is neutral. AS i climb to say 2000 ft i encounter turbulence. What do i do to make the flight as pleasant as possible? Just keep hands on yoke and correct every bump or trim every bump out?

Ok so my dumb butt, had set the overall graphics settings to high , which made each individual setting high, and there I was thinking I was running full out graphics across the board. Then I noticed in each individual setting, a drop down box and some of them have a setting above high - Maximum.Well then, being the aggressive soul I am, I immediately went in and changed each one that had maximum available to it, to maximum.Does not seem to have hurt me performance wise, graphics look beautiful and very smooth, have not seen any stuttering at least not yet. What a nice thing, to be able to load up a new flight sim from MS and be able to run at the highest settings and get…

Flight like the iPad, before people started using it, was maligned to no end.Why is it a 4:3 ratio...It's just a big phone...Should have been based on OSX...Just a toy...Etc., Etc....Some still feel that way,but we know once the masses tried it, they loved it,and I sense Flight could be the same. The ease of install, just stunning visuals, colors, contrast, shadows, detailand simplicity of flying makes it something that will bring non-simmers to the experience. It's not a replacement for FSX, just as the iPad was not a replacement for the PC,but I think Flight will generate a lot more users than FSX 11 would have done over the same time frame.Getting the base program free a…

Hi guysOn my PC Flight runs in 5040x1050 'locked' mode using Triplehead2go- i.e. I can't change the resolution, the box is grayed out.. In windowed mode if I stretch the window to take in all 3 monitors the result is major distortion - the image just stretches & doesn't resize. Is this a limitation of Flight or am I missiing something?Other than that & provided they implement Track IR support this old simmer thinks Flight has great potential.Lon Duncombe
