I had assigned my button 1 to both brakes and it was working fine for a while. Now, I can assign ANY button to brakes, but only the 'x' key works.Anyone have any problems like this and know how to fix it?I've already removed the assignments, restarted Flight and reassigned them, but no go. I'm tempted to uninstall and reinstall but it's a hassle I'd rather not go though if I can avoid it.WildBillWell, I got them working again. My gaming computer died a few months ago and don't have the cash for a new one right now. Best I've got is a Mac Mini. If I buy and install Windows 7 on it and download Flight, do you think I could get playable performance? So i downloaded something the other night because i watched it right up until 1.2 gig downloaded. I come home (been out for dinner), and get the process going again and it says failed to install, can't extract the .cab file. I go and find it myself, and it says it's 0 bytes. I deleted it and started again, but it just keeps putting it back. I may need to re download it, but have no idea what do delete in order for the PC to think it isnt there. It's a long weekend in Australia, so I cant call Microsoft Support until Tuesday morning. I really want to get this installed!Can someone help? What do I need to do? I've been away from FS9 and FSX for several years. I downloaded and played with Flight. It's fun for what it is. I've read most of the posts here as well as the Flight FaceBook page - so I'll not go into the pros/cons of Flight.What I found very strange though, is that for some reason, Flight performs worse on my PC compared to FSX. Two tips--I too have had Flight loose the brake command on my joystick, but I had programmed a button for "parking brakes", and that continues to work. I found that clicking that command deploys a moderate braking effect, but for gently slow down, just click again to coast, then again if more slowing is required. If your joystick doesn't allow for normal brakes, the parking brake workaround may be sufficient. Secondly, for newbies who are having trouble in some of the landing challenges, beware most setups are not straight in approaches, so just aiming for the yellow diamond is useless. This makes a nice map as you are just out getting bugs in your teeth in the Stearman if you use a 2nd monitor. Good for the weekend explorers. A morph of the old and the new. Isn't that what this is all about.Ray

I'm trying to trim the RV for level flight and notice that unlike other airplanes I've flown in FSX,the throttle does not have much, if any effect on pitch...Is there something different about this airplane that would take away the old "adjust pitch with thethrottle" rule?

I must be doing something wrong, but it happens way too often that whenever I do a checklist manually, the list gets stuck, specially at a moment when you have to check something. I check it and then press 3 for Next item, but nothing happens. No next item, no nothing. Pressing 1 (automatic check) doesn't do anything. All I can do is quit the checklist. This happens so often that it's becoming annoying because I can't finish any checklist this way.What am I doing wrong...?

I run Flight in windowed mode so I can access VFR charts and other stuff on my other monitors. (For some reason, Flight in full-screen mode blacks out all other displays.) After several unsuccessful attempts to associate a credit card with my new Windows/Xbox Live account, I was about to give up on getting the Flight expansion packs. Finally, on my third chat with a MS Customer Rep, they suggested I buy the points from Amazon. You can actually get a code for 1600 points from Amazon for $18.99 (a dollar cheaper than MS). I made 2 orders - the first took an hour to process and Amazon actually called me to confirm when I ordered a second one. Hi,Flight really works well with nVidia's 3D Vision feature, but occasionally at the edge of the screen there is a bit of polygon popup because the 3D feature widens the viewing frustrum slightly. Flight immediately clips terrain polygons that it considers outside of the visible area. The 3D does bring my nVidia GTX 260 graphics card down to its knees. Gotta get SLI working again...As the author of Tileproxy I must say the visuals of Hawaii are stunning even with synthetic (non-photo) scenery. The added autogen adds a lot of realism to the terrain and the textures look convincing enough.I tried running Flight on the Windows 8 Consumer Preview also, but the Games for Windo…

I have windows live messenger and created smetime ago an e-mail there; after I got hit by the mcAfee bug last year. I downloaded Flight and let it load when it was finished....It took for ever.... Then I got the window to enter my name and password for for the account; As I said I thought that having messenger this was the information required. Has anyone been able to load the Map screen while on a Job?I was doing a chicken run, and had to take off with a small fuel load, and needed to find an airport to refuel, and I couldn't bring up the Map screen... Is there any way to do it?

I'm getting this irritating dialog box every time the game starts. Anyone else getting this? I figure it has something to do with the fact that I was in the beta and maybe there's some garbage left behind.

Need a little help here. I have been spending more and more time in the Free Flight mode just looking around the island and making various appoaching and landings. When I start getting low on fuel, I go back to the Hangar and click on say 75% Fuel for the Stearman. When I return to FF the additional fuel does not show. I totally quit the game, startup again, select FF and I still don't have the 75% fuel load. Maybe the question should be What are the options or requirements for adding fuel?Another fuel related question - I flew one of the Challenges for a Stearman Landing so many time that I am totally out of fuel. Hi guys,I poked around in the Windows live setting thing (pressed "home" in the game) and I found some settings for voice. I set this up, but I cannot seem to get it to work. Are anyone else having success with this, or is voice communication is simply not available in multiplayer?

Does anyone know "for sure", if there is a value that can be used in place of "32.00000" that will make the "trim" button on a Yoke, less "aggressive".FYI, I already know that removing the snippet (<Repeat>32.000000</Repeat>) completely will make it increment by 1% at a time, but that is NOT aggresive enough!Thanks!
