  1. I just uploaded a new version (0.9.4). This version enhances the previous support for downloading DLC. It is now integrated with a database so that I can also include addons other people have made in the list of available downloads. This makes it easier for someone with the tools to find new addons. I've also uploaded two addons with some liveries that I had, and one that fixes Alaska not being selectable if you downloaded it with the Addon Manager. http://flighttoolkit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/FlightToolkit_0_9_4.zip Updates: - Separated the available DLC from the installed DLC so it was easier to see what you didn't have. - Integrated the available D…

Now that Steve is getting around to scenery tools (thank you, Steve!), it is time for me to start getting back to work. Well, I mean scenery design, although often it seems more demanding and engrossing than any work. I have a certain number of ideas or initial projects, but since Steve has only released a scenery object placement compiler, terrain creation is not yet on the list. Why not start with populating Lake Hood? I'll have to check what objects are in the default libraries, and hopefully that should be a quick project for all of us to enjoy. Nonetheless, it gets a little complicated to place objects without being able to slew around and stop ov…

The host terminated the session and I got caught between night and day. Made a cool screen shot. There is a strip out there somewhere Gee, I thought I had made a good landing? Love the snow on the trees. Steve

I've updated the Flight Toolkit with new features to enable saving your pilot profile to disk. This will ensure that if the GFWL servers go down that you won't lose any of your progress. To use this feature just run Addon Manager while Flight is running. It will automatically connect to Flight and periodically save the profile to disk. You will see the red X in Addon Manager change to green after it saves for the first time. This also includes some other changes, fixes, and new tools. These new tools are related to scenery production, but are in alpha and unsupported for now. I'm still developing them and hope to eventually get to a point where some scenery can …

Long flight from said cities to deliver a flight nurse and patient. Jack shadowed me part of the way. A little bumpy at 12,500 feet, just over the clouds. Jack was flying the whale and we landed together at Fairbanks. I landed left and jack landed right, at the same time, really cool. Steve Boy that got really messed up, should be................ This is for the pilots that don’t know if LE can be out maneuvered on a CM mission. I was on a CM mission when I was intercepted at about 26+ nm out. :shok: I imminently started evasive maneuvers to get away from it. At one time it was within .5nm of me, but I managed to increase the distance. When I had managed to increase the distance to 4nm I went to auto pilot and started to take SS. This 1st shot I got all the names in and the 2nd I got all of the nm from me. In this shot LE is 24.1nm and my Destination is 29.5nm. I am circling around my destination to put LE further away from me then it. I now have LE farther from me then my destination. The …

Yesterday I was flying with BergSpreu69, this is the two of us at Fairbanks. He then relocated to another location and I followed suit. Shortly thereafter we came upon this anomaly, and it’s hard to believe that I had not seen it before. Makes you realize just how big Alaska is. I these next two shots, Spot view then cockpit view as I approach. Closer (I get notified Steve is on live and I send him an invite to join us there) I landed in a cleaning nearby and start to walk to it, but changed my mind and go back to my plane and they both had landed there also, that was one crowed little clearing. I t…

Yesterday I received and invite to fly with TanklessHail702. (Known here on AVSIM as Kavinda12345) He was flying in the active volcano area so I joined him there. I told him that you could land in it, and we both did. I took these two shots in the process. When you descend into it, you pass through two overlays that make up the seen. The top layer is the rocky surface with gaps in it to see the lava below, which is the second layer. And then below that is the ground that you land on. Try it sometime if you haven’t. I took this one just as it was depicting an eruption.

Alliteration, love it! I got that "toast" thing, or whatever they call it when it pops up at the bottom of your screen and goes ding! Steve was in Flight. So, I joined his session, spotted his plane on the Map and teleported over there. Yes, he was just floating in mid-air, not moving much, maybe a small bounce now and then. Now, you can do this when in the Cub when there are strong winds - hover like a helo (more alliteration!). But, no winds in this session, so what's up? Like Jack mentioned, these are small issues with Multiplayer. Steve was in the Map mode probably deciding what to do next, and in the meantime, the Cub that he left on …

I was header to Homer (PAHO) where ATM was parked, when I see Steve come into the session at Kodiak, where he had parked yesterday. I’m cursing in the 51, so I move myself closer on the map and hit the M key. I’m now about 10nm out, and when I reach the wind turbines I start slowing down the 51 to change to the yellow/white CC. Steve has just taken off from the Coast Guard parking lot. I am setting up to land on an invisible building that I found there about a year ago as he passes over head. I take off and circle around to land on RW 7 at Kodiak (PADQ), and this is what I see just after he has landed, and I fly right under him. He has taxi…

The guys were flying so I joined their session tonight. But, when I teleported over to the Kenai peninsula, they were just parked on the apron. So, I went off by myself to have some fun! The same thing from a different perspective. I am rather proud of my repaint - fetching! Down on the apron, filling the tank. Best regards. Luis

So Tom had ask me if the landing on the helipad counted as a landing in my records and I told him I would put it to the test and here are the results. I landed at Hilo to take on fuel and that gave me a total of 1,525Landings. With weather set at Among the Giants, I was able to come up with a 19kt wind. First shot I’m setting up my approach to the pad. In this shot I have touched down and get on the brakes to stop, power to idle. Here I pan to overhead to see where I had stopped at With full flaps, engine at idle, and breaks off, the wind slowly pushes me backward. I watch this closely so that I can …
