Hi, Referring to the Flight Toolkit Menu: I don't have a handle on the different menu choices. I've tried reading past posts here and at FS Developer but still it's a mystery to me. Plus, I don't know how current the information is. Most posts are over a year old and it seems Toolkit has been revised several times. I'm looking for a brief explanations of any or all of the selections. I'd like to get the "big picture" before concentrating on any one choice. The Addon Manager seems to be self explanatory but beyond that everything is foggy or worse. And perhaps there are cautions that I should be observing but am not aware of. Hi, First, I want to begin by saying that Flight Toolkit is the beating heart of Flight. I truly believe that Flight wound be dead and buried without it. Despite trying to read and absorb everything I could, prior to installation, I was still unprepared when I first installed the Toolkit. I was disappointed that I couldn't chose the install location but that's academic; I just like to keep all related programs in a single location of my choosing. I was greeted with some options the only one that I felt comfortable making was Non-GFWL mode. As things seem to be working I guess I did okay. I see now that I have a new "Career" . Hi, All's well now but I didn't recall that the other downloads were required to install the Alaska Wilderness Pack. I'm posting this in case someone makes the same mistake. I tried to give the post a title that a search would easily find. When I only downloaded the pack and tried to select Alaska nothing was said about missing files; only got a message saying downloading and the only option was to Cancel. My CPU was at about 10% when it's normally about 2 or 3 % s0 something seemed to be happening. Probably looking for the missing files. I'll check things out for awhile and then install Flight Toolkit. Jim F.

Hi, I prefer using the numeric keypad keys either by them selves or in conjunction with other keys for controls as opposed to using the keyboard. I use either a yoke or joystick and rudder pedals so that opens up a lot of the default keypad keys. Here's what I have so far: I recall that someone posted code to be added to the Standard.xml that allowed the trims to be centered but haven't been able to locate it. Anyone recall what it was? I have several keys yet to be assigned and would appreciate any suggestions as to what functions I should add. Also, I seem to recall that the Alaska pack changed some of the key settings and info on that would be welcome…

Hi, I was going to ask a question in the pinned thread regarding Flight Toolkit but seeing as the last thread is dated Oct 31, 2014 I thought perhaps a new post was in order. I've been reading over the tutorials hoping to get an understanding of what Flight Toolkit is. My question boils down to this; is Flight Toolkit a program that allows modifications to Flight or does it become an integral part of Flight? My concern has been that if installed it might alter Flight in some irreversible way. If it allows modification to the elements of Flight and is a stand alone program then my concerns are unfounded. Hi, Had to replace my motherboard recently and have done a new install of Win 7 64 bit. Planned to install Flight but couldn't download from GFWL until today. After a few problems Flight seems to be downloading okay. Any thing special I should do or be aware of? I purchased all content except the aircraft without cockpits. Jim F.

Hi all. Dovetail games will release Flight School in April. Flight Simulator will be released later in 2016. Both are based on FSX technology, rather than on the more advanced Flight technology. Flight Simulator will allow 3rd party addons, while Flight School is more basic and will have no 3rd party content. Our hopes that Flight would continue under Dovetail's direction is gone. Dick

Hello everybody. I have problem with missing terminal buildings. When I start a new flight at any airport everything is okay. But when I land at any other airport, some of the terminal buildings disappear. I see only airbridges(jetways) and nothing behind them. I reinstalled FSX many times but it's still the same.. I am running Win 7 64bit, FSX Acceleration pack. Can anyone help me with fixing it? Many thanks(Sorry for my poor english )

Hi guys, actually I could not clone my HDD to the new SSD, but had to install W10 from scratch. I kept the "old" system where flight is installed on the old drive but cannot start flight. Even a new installation does not repair the problem: once started the flight.exe, a dialog box of a system error wrns that "d3dx9_26.dll" is missing. Does anyone have an idea of what could cause this problem ? Thanks in advance. Cekko

ok first I had to replicate what I had done in ver 1_1_15 since I neglected to save the project build folder (a mistake I wont make again ). Now I have a working Piper Cub build (flyable and all) but if I import/convert with ver 1_1_22 I don't have any visible textures and the engine wont run, I can however build in 1_1_22 the project I imported/converted with ver 1_1_15 and it works fine. The Cessna appears to remain the same no matter which ver I use, giving me a visible model that runs (meaning the engine is running) but is not flyable (the flight dynamics are way off) I am looking into editing the Cessna flight dynamics now, I had hoped to simply replace the…

Hi, I uninstalled Flight Toolkit then reinstalled. However, it did not reinstall the Flight Toolkit folder in Program Files. Where is flight toolkit even installed? I can't seem to find it or the tools it provides. And after I uninstall it, My MS Flight is still in the toolkit "mode", but I have uninstalled it. How does this work? Where is it installing and how do I remove it so I can do a proper install? Thanks, Aaron.

Yesterday I reinstalled GFWL, logged in OK, but the app was never able to get my games. I had FSX and MS FLIGHT, and was willing to re-install MS FLIGHT ( because of the DTG hype... ) :-( I believe I could still install it from Steam, but, would like to know what might be the cause of not being able to visualize any DLCs in my GFWL account ? Sorry, just checked the other pinned thread reporting the same problems... :-)

The only differences I was able to notice were: - tuned up ground physics, with proper ( it appeared to me as such ) drag coeficients; - effects based on systems which can interfere with flight dynamics, like oppening doors and canopies, etc... - tuning of cross-moments of inertia, and presence of additional coeficients in at least one of the ciontainers I was able to dig into :-) But, other than this, there were also problems inherited from FSX, like the old lean bug, the incorrect way CS props work ( very noticeable in the Maule ), ... Reinstalled Flight after computer crash. Alaska map changes to world map during flight check. Paint appears to work in hanger but reverts of existing paint after leaving hangar. Lost GWFL PW during crash. Appreciate help. Thanks

Hello I have a problem whenever I try to open contentconverter.exe it crashes right away. I've tried running it through command line but i'm stuck at this "Converting FSX terrain\scenery\autogen from 'C:\Program' and outputing to 'C:\test' "

Having read Kavinda's post about returning to Flight, I started getting the urge to get back in too. I've been out of Flight and FSX for a good while now due to a computer problem that I couldn't quite put my fingers on. Any major graphics load would perform a warm reboot of my system .Turns out, as I suspected, that my 3 year old Gigabyte Geforce 670 card was failing. Thank goodness I had kept my old GT9800 when I built my new computer 3 years ago. I popped it in and Flight fired right up. Just about 1 year ago I got help from this forum, KavindaJD and others) on getting my DLC from Microsoft Live. I have been enjoying the program ever since. I now have another problem. I experienced a sata connector failure on my motherboard. My C: drive was connected to the failed port and access to all hard drives was corrupted. I now have a new computer with new windows 7 installed on a new SSD drive and am in the process of restoring all my Flight Sim programs. Is the Microsoft flight program available anywhere? Absent that, none of the data on my original harddisk was corrupted by the failure and that hard drive (F:) is in my new system. Is there any way t…

Hi, anyone have the same problem? I have not been able to load the aerocaches since day 1 of my career in Flight. Will see a msg " Unable to load aerocaches" every time I click on the aerocache hunt button.

Just found my Logitech joystick unresponsive. Realized that I had plugged in a USB Xbox controller and it was taking over the aircraft control. The settings screen allows me to select the Logitech joystick as input (and press Accept), however, as long as the Xbox controller is connected it is always in control. Has anyone found a way of flying with Joystick while the Xbox controller remains plugged into the USB?
