On vacation for 7 days. So by the time I get back FLIGHT multiplayer will be toast. Baring some kind of divine intervention that is. I will be checking in on my ipad from time to time. Just to see what is going on. I will still be flying! Steve

As of a couple of days ago, I haven't been able to use flight. When I try to launch it, the program tries to connect and say my ID can't be found. Has anyone else seen this? Is there any way to use it offline? I bought a lot of DLC, I'd hate to have wasted the spending.

I remember seeing pictures of many players hunting the AotD together, and I thought it looked really fun. Is anyone still doing this, because I'd like to experience this at least once before multiplayer shuts down.

Cape Newenham LLRS was a strange one because my gps Coordinates were a little bit off so it never went where I had wanted it to................nor sure if any one accuracy found it. This is where it should have been located. Just had never seen these objects any where else before. Oh, well. Well down the hill off the end of the runway. Steve

I have been working with several of the devs over at fsdeveloper.com on getting scenery into Flight. They set up a new forum for people interested in developing content for Flight to have discussions. Hoopefully being on a developer focused forum will get more experts from Flight Simulator interested in working on Flight. I will still visit here a lot especially to offer support for the tools and discuss the end user facing topics. If you have addon development related questions, feel free to contribute over there. http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/forums/microsoft-flight.145/

Hi Folks A heads up for any AOTD collectors who're struggling to find those they'd missed. Thursday's pending AOTD Hinalele Falls, is another of those duplicate named, but differently GUID'ed Aerocaches. Check in-game to ensure you've collected it. It'll be my 350th. :smile2: HTH ATB Paul

Law enforcement was on me all the way. Took off from St. George island and immediately busted the 1,000 ft minimum (the co-pilot was not happy) and just kept climbing to 15,000 feet before letting down for a landing at St. Paul inland. This run was enough to but me into level 30. Thanks Paul! Steve The law was 0.7 nm under my nose Very hot landing. The law was circling over head as I unloaded the cargo. Guess he had had enough and departed.

Does anyone have a link to download the Flight installer? I used to be able to do it from the Microsoft Flight website, but it seems like either I can't find it anymore, or they removed the link.

Interesting article on MS Flight's FB page. Dovetail Games director of brand is commenting on the 3 games they are currently working on. "future flight simulator based on Microsoft's renowned flight technology" being one of them. Course we know that already, right. Steve

Hi Folks I'm working on a mission/job for the airport's Job Boards. I need to inhibit my job from being generated at small airports with short runways I've populated GeneratedAirport - GeneratedAirport_Current with an appropriate MinRunwayLength value. Unfortunately that's not inhibiting my job's generation at small airports. Guessing that only the SimMissionUI.ScenarioMetadata and Career.CareerMissionMetadata are evaluated by the Job Board's script. I also had a brief play with / guess at a LUA script, in Career.CareerMissionMetadata - DisplayRequirements <CareerRequirements>return ( get_runway_length('{8D625BDF-2FF3-4583-…

Hello everyone, i have been visiting this forum on and off for a few months now. but with the recent announcement of server closures i thought i might as well ask if anyone had some spare DLC codes. i myself would like a code for the Hawaiian adventure pack as i would like to collect the aerocaches while i still can. i used the toolkit so i can do pretty much everything else like missions. but the aerocaches are still locked. i know it may be asking a bit much but i thought it would be worth a shot. if there are any other ideas on how i can get the aerocaches. they would be greatly appreciated. in the 3 months i have been playing this game i have only managed …

Last week in Talkeetna Alaska I got to take a great sightseeing flight around the Mount McKinley area. I got the right seat in a K2 Aviation DeHavilland DHC-3 turbo Otter. What a beautiful experience flying along side the mountain at 11,900 feet. Here are some shots of the flight around the mountain and down over the glacier flows, some that are up to 4,000 feet thick. Also some comparison shots from MS Flight. Great airport detail and spot on. Steve

My apologies to the serious simmers out there who might be destracted for a few minutes, but there I was. My co-pilot says "Guess I should have been paying more attention. "Switch tanks and get the engine started again." I love the way that the cargo bangs around in back, gives the co-pilot fits. Next I desired to do a little sea skimming with the carbon cub and the co-pilot says. " Well, I see you found another interesting place to land, too bad it is not where we are suppose to be." Steve

Yesterday when I went into Flight I was notified that BASys had a session going, so I joined in. He was at Taylor (AK49) and from his passion on the map it looked like he was on RW 16 so I set up to take off on RW 34. When I materialized there I went to Multiplayer and it told me that he was in menu, so I took off and headed to Upper Hannum Creek (4Z2). I was headed there when I see his indicator show him coming up behind me. He wanted to make another attempt at getting his voice working. Just shortly after that BackwardClock3 showed up and we had fun flying around there. Then it was suggested that we go to Mauna Kea-Honolii (HI31) and do some uphill landings. These are so…

If you were hoping to get more AOTD's made permanent, you can begin the weekly voting again. After MS made their October Shutdown announcement, it seemed they had stopped replaying the daily aerocaches. Today they announced they would begin these again to give more of us a chance to collect ones we had missed. Thanks MS.

Hi Folks Following occurred on Windows 7. YMMV. Hadn't been in multiplayer for quite some time, (> 6 months), and even longer since last using voicecomms mic/headphones. Investigating missing aircraft from Hangar, following Stonelance's info request, when 2 players unexpectedly joined my session. No response to my in-game text messages, but noticed 1 player using voicecomms, (icon was active in LLHC of window), Dug out headset from drawer, and tried untangling cable/plugs, meantime crediting profile with yet another destroyed airframe, then attempted to voice communicate. N.B. For all aspects throughout, Control Panel's Playback Volume/Recording Level ind…
