  1. Greetings Pilots. I come to you today to let you know about an occasional series of group flights I run for our beloved MS Flight. You may know me from some of my Repaint work with Flight. I have an upcoming flight which is quite special. Recently I was saddened to hear that a fellow Flight enthusiast TheOldCoot passed away, so in memoriam we are flying Cubs in Alaska. I hope that many of you would be able to join us in this flight. I'm crossing my fingers that this finally fixes all the LC and WC mapping problems. As I mentioned in a different post, there are still issues with autogen, especially in the southern hemisphere during the winter, but that problem will be a little more time consuming to fix. If you notice any areas where the LC is wrong, please include a picture and the location (you can copy the lat\lon from the SimDataEditor while Flight is running) http://www.flighttoolkit.com/Downloads/FlightToolkit_1_1_15.zip Fixes: - Corrected many LC mapping problems - Corrected many WC mapping problems

http://www.flighttoolkit.com/Downloads/FlightToolkit_1_1_13.zip Changes: - Fixed problem where sometimes pending aerocaches would not show up - Added conversion of generic buildings to procedural buildings - Changed LC mapping conversion to properly take into account the TerrainCoverage data from FSX - Change ContentConverter to handle disabling addons that depend on FSX World and re-enable them after new conversion is finished - Changed how ObjectBrowser works so it should be much faster - Add loading graphics in some places in the UI (just ObjectBrowser right now) A lot of these changes are old and I haven't run them in a while, so if you notice a breaking…

www.flighttoolkit.com/Downloads/FlightToolkit_1_1_12.zip Fixes: - Fix a bug in FSX lclookup conversion code that was causing airport background and other vector land class remappings to be broken. - Fix a bug in the scenery object serialization that was preventing taxiway signs, and possibly other objects from showing up properly. I'm not 100% sure if the taxiway sign orientations are correct. Please let me know if it seems like there is a problem.

I asked about autopilot a couple years back and go a fairly solid ain't going to happen when the guys were beginning to tweak things enough to get repaints and some results importing FSX aircraft. Stonelance and others were getting bombarded with requests and shamefully I was no better in asking for things like importing FSX scenery, Cessna 172, and autopilot. At that time anything seemed possible but as we now know no all is realistically possible. We got the repaints, new weather, brighter textures, the FSX default scenery, but for all those successes we did not get the aircraft and understandably so considering the difficulty the guys were having trying to do it. I con…

Hey all, Here's a mod for a requested feature when using the mouse & keyboard mode in Flight. The massive cross-hair has now been replaced with the "o" that you see when adjusting your view. The "X" still remains to ensure that you know where the mouse is, in relation to the gameplay screen. Here's what it looks like now (static): You will see that there is still a broken circle indicating your direction - this cannot be removed, unfortunately, since it is hard coded and embedded in a "Frame" which I cannot alter. Enjoy and report here if you come across any problems! Get the addon here!

Hi Being in Flight from it's start (over three years) I'am at a point I need (my opinion not my wifes) a new computer. So my questions are: What will I need to consider, backup, copy and download to continue my trip with Flight with new hardware? I want the moving to be as smooth as it can be. I have all add-on's except Mustang (I have the Red tail version though), some of the planes are from Steam, some from GWFL including main simulation and Alaska. I ran Flight in 32-bit version and only 2 gigs of internal memory (just enough but not for windowed version), so I'm looking forward to seeing Flight in full glory in 64-bits and with the highest visual settings which …

These are some SS of errors I have seen while flying clandestine missions. The first one is a SS of the ANTIOCH BRIDGE on highway 160. The closest airport to it is "Funny Farm (4CA2), and the bridge is north west of it. This SS, I had just taken off at Truckee- Tahoe (TKRK) and turning toward Fallon (KFLX). Below my left wing tip highway I-80. In this SS I am taxing to takeoff at Lake Tahoe (KTVL) and I see this on my right. After takeoff I made a 180° turn and take these next two SS. As I was takeoff at Lake Tahoe (KTVL) I saw this pink in front of me. I am on a mission from Yerington Mun. (O43) to Sierraville (O79). I a…

Another Close Encounter! I thought you might like to see some SS of my latest encounter. This took place in the state of Nevada. It is a clandestine flight from Fallon Mun. (KFLX) to Derby (LOL) and the distance was 34.9nm. About 26.8nm from my destination, JAFO said he spotted another plane close by, but it only lasted a second. Then at about 24.5nm out, I had a second hit, and this time he got a lock on me. These are SS along the way. After landing I went to the overhead view and watched as he circled above me, never coming closer then .5nm from me. …

I'm releasing this as a beta as there are some old changes in here and I can't remember how well I tested them earlier. If you have the older version of the 1.1.9 beta, you will probably have to uninstall it manually before installing this: http://www.flighttoolkit.com/Downloads/FlightToolkit_1_1_9.zip Changes: - Add support for "World" aerocache region in the "Add aerocache" options - Add support for exclusion and timezone BGL layers - Add slightly better error reporting in the installer - Update SimPropCompiler to use new API. You can now save out FSX formatted SPB by using the "2fsx_spb" option - Improve reliability of installing addons over existing ones FS…

I hunted up my first clandestine mission in the new world, it was from Eagle's Nest (CA20) to Healdsburg Mun. (O31). It went flawlessly,I was never spotted by LE plane. It was nice making the run over familiar territory. Here are some SS from the run. Crossing over I 5, Sacramento in the background, and the Sacramento river just in front of me. Below me is the the VOR about 5mi. south of Sacramento Excutive (KSAC). Crossing interstate highway 80 at Davis, and in the orange circle are the vasi lights for the Nut Tree (KVCB) Lake Berryessa A couple of scenery shots On final, and completed. Until next time, a good day to all!

  18. This addon inserts two new weather themes in Microsoft Flight: Light Snow It has been snowing all day, but flying should be safe as long as you stay out of the clouds. Heavy Snow A heavy snowstorm makes flying at low altitudes a real challenge. Don't forget to set your altimeter to 28.99 inHg. As some here know, Tom Allenworth is facing a terminal illness, and hasn't much time left. I wanted to start this thread to acknowledge Tom for his great effort to build a flight simming community. Thank you so much Tom. Your forum and library have given me great pleasure, and have acted at times as a focus to my life when it was a bit out of focus. I hope you can find some pleasure and comfort in the time you have remaining. Know that we love you and wish you the best. You are in our thoughts and prayers. rhumbaflappy

I created a new version of the toolkit that has fixes for the FSX scenery conversion issues: www.flighttoolkit.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/FlightToolkit_1_1_0.zip Changes: - Fix crash during FSX scenery conversion due to bug in scenery loading code. - Improve performance in several areas during FSX scenery conversion - Fix error in Non-GFWL mode with some profiles that try to report a visited aerocache that has already been reported. - Fix some logging messages that weren't using the right string type in the format string.

Having found out that with Stonelance's Toolkit I can import FSX default scenery into MS FLIGHT, I decided to give it a go :-) I really can't wait to fly the Maule and the RV over Portugal and Spain ;-) If that wasn't enough to try it, the chance to edit and adapt the weather parameters to non-ISA settings was even better to know :-) Now, I have installed FSX-SE, and applied to it DX10 fixer, and a payware scenery for Madeira islands... I believe the conversion will work over FSX-SE, but only with default install ( standard FSX scenery ), so I am considering installing FSX SE in another PC, and MS FLIGHT there too, as well as the toolkit, and then MS FLIGHT o…

Though I've been following the conversion process avidly, still haven't jumped in with both feet, preferring to watch curiously how things went. Congratulations to all the people, Stonelance especially, for all the time and effort put into what has got to be a labor of love; but I wonder if now that its confirmed (as I think most people really keeping track always thought would be the case) that the next sim from Dovetail will rely probably pretty heavily on the flight engine, how those involved with this project see its future evolving? Its there a hope to work with Dovetail? Is there a hope that the two programs would be compatible? Will they split on separate p…
