i know this is a dead sim i know it lacks the feature set of fsx and i don't care :) like many here i was a rwp until about 10 years ago. back then all i did was "go up and look around." it made me grin. i've flown flight sims (every one of them) since the beginning of time :) some were more realistic, some had better flight models and some had better grafics. but flight........makes me grin :) it's real enough for the vfr flying that i have done most of my life after being away from sims for several years i reinstalled fs2004, fsx and flight. i spend all my time with flight. we all have different goals with o…

I wonder if this is possible. I loved MSFlight, but it`s dead sadly. I just asked myself if it is possible to convert my beloved MSFlight CarbonCub SS and Maule into the "succesor" FSW.

I haven't played Flight for 3 years or more. Recently I started it back up and noticed that my pilot profile is still in tack as far as I can tell, as are awards and achievements (all completed), but the bad thing is that the missions and challenges, to which I had completed them all and I think I even had all gold on them are now reset and locked like I'm a new user. I had spent many frustrating hours getting gold on all those challenges and missions and now I have to do several again just to have the more difficult ones unlocked and available. Anyone know a workaround to unlock them all? I'm not using FlightToolkit, just standard GFWL in my old account. FYI I have …

I believe that I can reinstall Flight using GFWL Marketplace and it will run without problems but once I use Toolkit it fails. Any sugestions as to what to try? Jim F.

I was just out collecting the new Aerocaches, and what I noticed was that we usually get an indication when we get close, it lets you know and gives you the name of it. It seems to be collecting them at that time instead of when you get closer to it. Has anyone else noticed this? Good day all!

Hi, I got a new (used) computer mainly to use as a test bed. It has a clean version of Win 7 Pro 64 bit. Any suggestions as to how to proceed with installation of Flight and FSX that anyone might find useful? I have both the Steam and disc versions of FSX which can be installed and used for conversion and several versions of Toolkit. I downloaded and installed the free version of Flight which seemed to run fine but I was asked to enter a "key" in order to add stuff and use multiplayer. I was going to create a new gamertag but recalled reading in a post that all except multiplayer could be added to Flight with Toolkit, at least in Non-GFWL mode, so I just used my …

Hi, After hearing of the forthcoming release of Flight Sim World and fully expecting it to be based on MS Flight AND having the modified version of Flight crash whenever I got within about 80 miles of KSNS (my home airport) I put things on hold. I suspect I had some holdover from ORBX scenery but re-installed FSX 3 times and still had the problem. After looking at some pictures and videos of FSW I'm not particularly interested. in it. I see that there is still some interest in Flight but it seems minimal. I strongly suspect that if there was more interest shown there would be more incentive for those talented people to continue with modifications and updates. I…

Hi everyone! It's been a week i'm having this issue, so i decided to ask anybody for help after unsuccessful googling. Basically, every time i startu up any flight/scenario on FSX, i have permanent differential braking on the left pedal. I use T. Flight Rudder Pedals from Thrustmaster. Now, i tried recalibrating, inverting axis, messed around with the null zone and sensivity and even reinstalled the drivers. So i thought it might be an FSUIPC issue but it does not seem to me. I use MS flight through Steam and have installed all the items of the toolkit (latest version) I see the new aerocaches, but i can't acces them. I need content to use them. Hi, I thought I'd heard that Dovetail Games had purchased (or whatever) the rights to MS Flight and would further develop and re-release it. I hope this is the case. I realize that when it was released Flight was extremely limited compared to FSX but in terms of what it had it put FSX to shame. Jim F.

The main fix here is some changes to the installer, and the Non-GFWL to fix issues people have been having when they are using Flight on a PC for the first time.

Hello pilots! For many days and weeks, I have tried to figure how to restore my original sound. Before it changed, when using cockpit view (front) the sound rumbles as soon as one engine is started. Now that sound is gone. Only the view left or right does have the right sound. Can anyone help me how to get the right sound back for front view? Much thanks!

Flight Monitor is a moving map application for use with Microsoft Flight (not FS9 or FSX). I created this after being frustrated by the limitations of FSWidget's "GMap for Flight". The things I wanted to add were: 1. Allow the window to be resized or maximised. 2. Don't require Flight to be in Hawaii or Alaska on startup. 3. Don't require the HUD displayed to be displayed in Flight to show the aircraft heading. 4. Allow loading of flight plans created using Plan-G. 5. Add "direct-to" functionality. If you are using the Flight Toolkit on a new PC, or on a PC you have never logged into GFWL within Flight then it is possible that none of the enabled content shows up. I figured out yesterday this is because Flight has a mode where you can play without being logged in, and then it will only allow you to use the original free content (BigIsland and the Stearman\Icon). There are a couple places in the UI where it will prompt you to sign into GFWL before continuing, but it wasn't obvious to people that it was required to get the extra content. The work around is to use Non-GFWL mode and create a profile and log into that. I'm prepping a new version of the toolkit that w…

Seems odd this was left out. I'm seeing some third party stuff for flight now, freeware and thats good, was wondering if it would be possible for some talented person to add an axis for elevator trim, this might be against EULA but if permission was granted and I cant imagine any reason why it wouldn't be (that would be self defeating) would it be possible to add this feature? I guess it would be possible but would it be practical to do so if not too time consuming?
