PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

Hi to all,am I the only one encountering saving problems with the J41? If I switch off everything in the cockpit to a cold&dark situation (or to any other switch condition) and then I save it, when I load again FSX I don't find the same cocpit situation previously saved (nor even the ramp status, but this is a minor issue). Moreover, once I exit from a flight and then I reload it again without closing FSX, I experience a CTD everytime...Maybe I miss something...Paul

Hello everyone, First of all do not know if post! Rules do not know much about this site! Well now the problem. It turns out that purchased a new pc, Core 2 Quad Q8200, 4 GB (2x2 GB) DUAL CHANNEL, Gigabyte EP45 Mother, HDD 250 GB and 80 GB SATA, 9600GT 512 DDR3 VERT Pinacle seems to me this pc any good with FSX + acceleration in Windows Vista Ultimate X64. Well here the problem because the default FSX ULTRA HIGH this whole, content purchased PMDG aircraft, installing notice a large decrease in FPS is so much that sometimes 5 to 6 seen from the inside and 18 to 26 from the outside. Usually BAe J41 of PMDG is the slower it works, I'm not happy at all, also use Active Sky! …

Hello fellow simmers,I just dl'd the JS4100 and when I went to install, a box came up saying it could not find fsx.exe............Upon re-reading the "install.txt", it states if you have moved FSX to another location or drive, then"you would have to manually navigate the installer so that it points to your default MSFS installation directory"I have moved FSX to another dedicated drive, a vRaptor.HOW do I "manually navigate the installer"..............it gives me not options......Thanks in advance.cthiggin

Hi could someone help me with tuning the ADF. I can only seem to adjust the first number in the 100's with the outer knob and the numbers after the decimal point with the inner knob. I know there is a trick, looked through the manuals but could not find it. Thanks Perry Messina.

SITUATION:1) create a flight plan route in CDU and save it as (ex: EGPDEGGP01.rte). This works well. Cause you can visit the flightplans folder and presto... there is/are the saved routes (.rte)2) if you fly the route immediately, all is well3) however, subsequently trying to recall the (previously saved) route doesn't always work. Or, said another way, it's a tough call trying to find the route from the collection of previously saved routes in the CDU listing4) even though the route was named/saved as in the above example, the display of the routes from the FLIGHTPLANS folder takes on the formatting of [i'm thinking as a software person here... forgive me...] DEP RWY […

PieterI have read the Basic and Advanced Manuals an I understand how the switches work.Well, some of it. Mode 1 works with (+1,8) and the K and CP numbers.I have not been able to set the conditional switches for button 9 and 10 (mode 2 and mode 3).Can you show me, the switches, on part of your FSUIPC ini file? With an example of the correctparameters, I should be able to sort this out. Bill

Gentlmen, First off, many thanks for the answers to my previous questions. Now, I've followed EVERY guide here especially the 'picture' one. I can load a running J41 - no problem. I can load a default cold and dark Cessna or Trike at my home field -KFCI. I've tried this: Load a J41 - engnes stopped. Follow the procs: unfeather,F1,battries checked on(always on), standby punps on, then hit the left start switch. The engines spins up normally, then ALWAYS shuts down. The right engine ALWAYS starts normally and runs. What do I have wrong with my left engine? This happens whether I move the J41 from KFCI to wherever or move the CD bird first, then select a J41. XP64, FSX SP2,…

This is the 3rd time this has happened. Here are the steps...1) flip through several views - outside, twr, top-down and so forth2) return to the VC3) All sound is GONE... using the advice from a response to my earlier (yesterday) post. Not sure what happened to earlier post. Anyway, I landed (with spoilers armed at the dep airport). The spoilers deployed - as they should. Even after powering DOWN the a/c according to the checklist. The spoilers refused to go down. I wanted to make a quick turn-around and fly back. So, I went through the routine of firing up the turbines. No problem. The spoilers were still UP - from the outside view.I taxied anyway to the departure rwy. And took off... clearly it wouldn't be done in the real world. What are the best FSX settings users find for realism settings for using the JS41 with? In respect of Torque and Pfactor? Obvioulsy these havent been much of an issue with jet a/c and normally all me realism settings are set to fully real, having flown some other prop a/c I have lowered them a little, as I tend to find that on take off or landing the amount of veer as you apply power is excessive and makes keeping the aircraft straight on the runway a hard job having to use an excessive amount of rudder! I have FSPUIC also which I calibrate my controls with so any reccomended settings for that to assist in this issue?RegardsJames

Is it just me or do I spot a new J41 cargo version on the front page product line-up slideshow? I even spot a forklifter in the Ramp Manager setup :(

After going through the tutorial and AOM, I'm still confused somewhat about proper icing procedures. I know about the temp limits and flying into moisture details etc..., but should the pilot activate engine, prop AND airframe de-ice before flying into the moisture? Or is the airframe icing left alone until some ice has actually accumulated? If I'm in a lot of rain or heavy clouds, I get the chime that reminds me to take action. Clarification on this would be appreciated.Curt

Hello all. I searched before posting this and could not find anything close. So, here goes...I've observed two (2) situations so far...a) Once you have programmed the flight plan into the FMS, you can NOT delete a WPT from the f/p route. The <ERASE> button does just that... it ERASES the entire flight plan and you must start over:( While airborne... and ... if you've already programmed in the STAR/TRANSITION/RWY for the destination - before taking off - should you need to change the arrival runway or even the star, the flight plan (amendments) gets added on to the existing flight plan instead of being an overwrite from the TRANSITION point.So, what happens - in my…
