Just curious if any of the beta testers also have the Flight 1 Mustang and if so can you compare the framerates and performance between the two. Right now I can get 130 fps in the default Maule yet in the Mustang VC I get 13-20 fps (still 40-50 fps in the exterior view though). Obviously every system is different but a comparison to the Mustang would give some reference.

Hi,I noticed from the screenshots being posted that the flight computer screen is black. Is this part of the nav system modelled, or is it a beta thing that it appears to be INOP currently?Best regards,Robin.

Ok... here we go...If you want to fly vor headings in the J41 are the frequencies available from the fmc or do you have to preplan the route to have a list?I know the J41 will have lateral navigation for waypoints btw, not worried about that.I don't mind either, but it's easier to plan and fly if you know before you jump in the cockpit and set off :( then panic :( .John Ellison

This discussion is only from an academic standpoint. Both the J41 and the Brasilia are very nice planes and I like them both. Although I am not at all familiar with the J41.I was wondering what are the differences between the J41 and the Embraer 120 Brasilia. Are they essentially very similar in mechanics, power plant, electronics, panel configuration, etc? Or do they differ in significant ways?I look forward to the J41. Although MY Christmas will be the day PMDG releases the Dash 8 (hopefully a Q400)! :-)Gianluca

Hi,My question is in two parts:1) Does the sim solve the problem of the engines getting stuck for a moment at high RPM after the throttles were retarded to idle? On some turboprop aircraft for FS, you can be waiting up to a minute for the engines to react after being at cruise power for a while. The Flight1 ATR almost fixed this, but it too suffers if you leave the levers at full power for a 30 minutes in the cruise (if you pull them back a minute after setting full power, it doesn't exhibit this behavior).2) How close to reality do the sounds, err, sound? When you go into the beta range, can you really hear it? Are the prop sounds independent from the turbine sounds for …

I viewed a J41 video shot in the cockpit, and noticed it is a very noisy and loud environment. The pilots were wearing headphones of course, so I'm sure they were fairly comfortable throughout the flight. How did PMDG prepare the sounds for their J41, sound heard as if wearing headphones, or without? Any sound adjustments included to where the simmer can fine tune to their liking perhaps?Curt

Hello all,Here's a few shots of the J41 as I departed HPN for IAD this afternoon. I only took pics of the first half of the flight, but some of them came out pretty nice so I thought I'd share them.At the gate waiting for a few late pax.The Weight & Balance Form. We've got a jumpseater today...probably some dispatcher looking for a ride to work. Here's the speed card for our weight.A look at the CAP panel. All buttoned up and ready to start #1."Clear and Start One"Turning out of the blocks. In the cruise at 14,000ft.Another angle.A look at the EADI and EHSI.Nick

I thought I'd throw up a few more shots -- the JS41 will separate the men from the boys when it comes to flying skill, so it seems only appropriate to take her up to Southeast Alaska, where the flying ain't for the faint of heart. This flight took us from Sitka to Wrangell.Running through the cockpit checks while we wait for our scheduled departure.Left engine start; In a moment, I'll call for the ground crew to disconnect the power cart.Waiting for the morning freight -- a Dash-7 just pulling off the runway. There he goes -- the taxiway is ours, now.Accelerating into the soup.We break out at 8,000 feet, and we'll be crossing the Chatham Strait in a couple minutes.Just be…

Figured everyone would want to see some shots. :( KSTL in the background where my full flight of 29 plus crew just departed for KCOU.Taken after reaching my cruise altitude of 10,000 feet and intercepting the 267 radial out of STL.Checking the gauges.

Captains-Now that we're back from the AVSim Outage of Oh-Nine , we thought we'd give you a small visual update on the PMDG BAe JS4100 cockpit at night! Before we get to the images, a bit of information some other project phases...Development is taking just a bit longer than originally anticipated, but things are progressing smoothly. We have almost the entire airplane implemented, along with some pretty cool gizmos for you to play with within the simulation. I'll preview some of these over the next few days...We are wrapping up Alpha testing currently, and anticipate putting the airplane to BETA sometime next week. This airplane is pretty well tested already in ALPHA, s…

While we're waiting for some new screenies, I was wondering if there's a chance you'll be including an electronic "See Gee" calculator, or if you're going to stick with the current load manager format?Having to spin the wheel and use summer/winter weights correctly would add a nice touch of realism.Regards,Nick
