PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

I can't alter the center digits on the adf - so if it says 374.5 I can alter the 3 and the 5 but not the middle 2 numbers.Obviously I'm not finding the right place to click so can someone please give me a better clue?Blown away by the plane though.... it's bliddy marvellous :( John Ellison

I can't figure out how to do a battery-only start in the JS41. As soon as I turn off the GPU the fuel pressure (as indicated above the engine instruments) drops to zero. The standby pumps are switched on and the "LO PRESS" lights remain extinguished. Left and right voltmeters indicate 24.4V.Anybody else tried this - and how did you do it?

I cannot get the rudder axis to work in the JS4100. I've tried assigning through FSX as well as FSUIPC without any luck. From an outside view it looks as if the rudder twitches slightly when I move my pedals, but not enough to steer the plane.I'm running 64-bit Windows 7 RC (build 7100). The rudder does work in other aircraft, e.g. the default Cessna.Any assistance would be appreciated :(

VERY NICE!!!Already made a smoking molten heap out of the engine. I was trying to crank it to cool it off but it had other plans...I tried to extinguish the fire but it wouldn't go out.I seem unable to the bring the condition levers back beyond ground idle. I can't drag them nor move them back with Shift+F2.Other than this, I've flown a few circuits, and trying to get used to the slow speed on approach. I was trying to fly it like the MD-11 - fast!! :DI have a bit of weirdness with the displays when viewing at an oblique angle - the lines kind of fade in/out. Welp. Installed, no problem. Activated, I think no problem, it said activated. But the bloody thing just CTD's every time, whether I load the plane from the main menu or in game. The nifty licensing service seems to still be running in the task manager though. Ugh.WinXP Pro SP34gb ramFSX SP2My machine well exceeds the minimum specs. I suspect something is fubar with the licensing system.

I finally managed to remove the passengers from the cabin, but now I have a new problem. The plane keeps pulling to the right. I assume that this has something to do with the CG, but I am not sure how to correct it. I thought that it would have been central to the longitudinal axis of the plane with only pilot and copilot on board (and 50% fuel in each tank), but that doesn't seem to be the case. When I add slightly more fuel on one side (to get the CG centralised), the plane pulls even more to the right!

But I'm not very happy with the default views provided with the JS41. Hello,I tried saving my approach to KIAD from the tutorial as I was experiencing a memory slow down.When I restarted the flight, FMS programming, autopilot states were gone.Are saved flights not supported as in other PMDG AC, or am I doing something wrong?Thanks for any help.Joe Lorenc

Hi,How do you get the engines into the start locks at shutdown? I know you have to work some voodoo with the reverse levers at shutdown...Seems I don't have "it" yet.How can you control an single engine via the keyboard? I tried E+2 etc.. but it doesn't work.Best regards,Robin.

Well I've departed Chicago O'Hare onboard an E-170 as United 8871 (Fictional) to White Plains, NY. Once I'm on the ground it's off to the rental car counter, then the hotel. I'm hoping to be able to stop by the training center and get a peek at the company's new bird this evening before dinner though. I would prefer to fly the J41 with only pilot and copilot on board. However, I am having great difficulty getting rid of the passengers! The first time I removed them, FSX crashed when I attempted to load the flight. After that, it seemed to load ok, but I switched to the external view, and I could see passengers in the cabin! When I exited and checked the Payload section, the Fore and Aft cabins had been reset to 794kg (even though I had removed the passengers before the flight).Can anyone advise me how to solve this?In addition, if I load a flight with the J41, return to the menu, and then try to load the flight again.....FSX crashes.My PC specification is listed below:…

Hi Guys,Sorry to pop up again, but it seems that the installer is not completing properly...Everything starts to install... then once all of the files are done, the command window pops up for a second, then the installer quits. Doesn't get to the point to register or enter my key. When I check the Simobjects folder, the files are there, but they aren't properly registerd. If I try to add a livery, the installer runs, but says that it can't find the Aircraft.cfg file.Not sure what the problem is... not running any other programs, firewalls, anti-virus, etc. I'm in WinXP, so it's not a UAC problem either.I even re-downloaded the installer and tried again, but the same resul…

Starting to read throught FMS section of the JS-41 tutorial and the following question comes to mind.If we already have the latest Navigraph procedures (0909) for the rest of the PMDG aircraft, do the terminal procedures that come with the JS41 overwrite any of these with older versions? Should we re-install the Navigraph PMDG 0909 procedures after the JS41 install?

I just wanted to say 'great job' to the PMDG team. The frame rates even with addon scenery were incredible. Not only that, the realism was....surreal. I loaded the plane, enjoyed the most detailed nut and bolt...and then, whilst flying at night looked out the right cockpit window only to see reflections from the night lit panel in the window. That blew me away. I am a real world pilot, and to see something like that made me feel as if I was truly there.It was worth the wait. ThanksSide note, I feel like the landing sounds from tire impacting runway should be more pronounced. Perhaps I'm wrong.

Well, wow.Really the only way to describe the first look at this new product. I have to admit I have been busy all day with wedding planning and classes, so I didn't get a chance to read through everything. So, I did what I usually do when I buy a new PMDG product: wing it. My first thoughts honestly were that this bird is fps HUNGRY. After I brought my sliders down and chose normal gauges in the config editor, I get around 20 fps. Now, I know everyone is asking " what are you running ". To be honest once again, not the best rig. Dual 2.8, 4 gigs of RAM and a 256 ATI card, but still.
