PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

Where can I find data on the use of high/low idle? I remember a couple of years ago either PC Pilot or Computer Pilot had an article on the B1900D on the proper approach for the use of the the idle throtle. I'm just getting back into flight simulation again and I do have the B1900C and D, being able to use them properly would make there flights more enjoyable.ThanksTom

BTW, Sorry Daniel Holm but it was to late to change the tail-number to your request on the Direktflyg repaint. I had allready flattened the image and i didn't save a backup of the Photoshop image.

Can't find in in AOM, and if I bought navigraph data from say 6 months ago will it work in the 41?

Folks:Could anyone give me an example of how to come up w/ an user-defined "Offset Waypont" on the FMS flight plan? I am referring to the notes on p. 91 of the J41-AOM Operations Guide, but I do not find any other details/examples. How do I defne a new radial/distance waypoint using a given waypoint? Hi guys, When i put different altitudes to some waypoints in my FMS (J41), the plane follows the route, but dontfollows the Lateral nav. when the autopilot is ON. for takeoff ive got no config error on the CAP. once i press the Autopilot, do i need to do something else?thxDavid Guindon

The only way I can launch the config utility is from the EXE file directly. It won't start from any shortcut, nor from the PMDG Menu entry.I remember this happend to some people with the MD11 manager.Any ideas what might cause this?Thanks

I don't think it's related to any specific FP or how a given FP is originaly generated.While still on the ground, during the departure porition of my flight, I populate the FMC with a particular FSBuild FP and press 'Select' and it becomes active - no problem there. Then I modify the atcive FP by pressing 'Depart' and chose my desired departure runway and coresponding SID if applicable - no problem. Then I chose 'Approach' and select my desired ST…

Can anyone send me to the correct link for this small prob if it has been raised before. I'm getting a thin line of what I think is a see thru or white flickering around the black edges of some instruments but only in VC. I had the same issue with the F1 ATR and they recomended that I change the Panel CFG to read (eg) [Vcockpit01] Background_color=10,10,10 instead of all 0, 0, 0. Unforturnately this change dosnt fix it on this little beauty. (J41)Thanks

Hi everyoneBeen have a strange issue lately?Taxi, takeoff roll, V1, VR etc when climbing try to engage Autopilot and it disconnects immediately. Press Z again same thing? Try to click on the AP button by throttles... same again disconnects immediately? After a while of going throught this it then connects and happily follows FD?Am I missing something as its only just started happening?Many thanks for any adviceRussell Bailey

Hey all, hopefully someone can help with this.I've noticed some strange behaviour surrounding the JS41's FMS and it's interpretation of SIDS. As an example, flying the NZWN Runway 34 RUGDI3 SID yields some strange results.Here's the code for the Airac 0911 SID, I've checked it against documentation and the syntax certainly appears to be correct: SID RUGDI3 RNW 34 TRK 341 UNTIL 2000 HDG 050 INTERCEPT RADIAL 010 TO FIX RUGDI FIX RUGDI AT OR BELOW 4000 FIX PPNB This coincides well with the actual published SID: [*]Maintain RWY centreline to 2000ft[*]At 2000ft turn RIGHT, track 050

If you guys are ever going to do another update to JS41 can you please sort out the speed card display, its probably the most awkward thing to do, I have to pause trackir then zoom in write down(bad memory) the speeds then input them. Can't you just make it a pop up window or something easier to look at?

Hi allI use FSBuild to export my flightplans, and it works well with the JS41.Once exported, I open the FMC and import the FP.The problem doesn't happen everytime. When I try to change the departure or approach procedure, and there is NO stored procedure for the airport, the FP disappears and I have to import it again.Anyone having this kind of issue?Thanks in advance.

Hello PMDG.I have tried over and over again to make my own specular image to go with my repaints of the JS41, but with no luck. The Spec for the fuselage is okay, but I can not seem to get it right on the Master image that holds all the details of the engines, wings, undercarriage and so on. When i try, the repaint in FSX comes out looking like something out of a flying saucer;) Waay to shiny..So what I did, was that I just copied the main spec from the default PMDG livery folder to get a desent looking spec. Hey Guys!I'm using AES and have a question regarding the deactivation of the GPU in respect of pushing back the airplane.After I deactivate the GPU without the engines (=generators) running all of my settings in the FMS are gone. It seems that there is no chance to deactivate the GPU without activating the generators otherwise there is not enough power left for the flight instruments to work and everything in the cockpit goes dark...How is that handled in the real aircraft? Do they first start all engines before the aircraft is pushed back? Isn't the BatteryPower enough to feed all the flight instruments for a couple of minutes?Thanks for the answerMat

I have not really had the time to fly her after the update? few questions The AIRAC cycle I use cycle 910 however when I first turn on the FMS there are some numbers followed by 0709 is this the current airac cycle and if so why is it not showing 0910 which is what I have installed several times and is showing on my other PMDG products, second I thought this update was to include a fix for importing flightplans, if I try to import a flightplan from fscommander while the js41 is loaded in order for my flightplan to show up I have to end my flight load the js41 again then it will show up, I thought this was to be fixed???

I am running the new PMDG JS4100 on FSX with Vista 64 bit and various GoFlight modules, including two RP48s. I have managed to assign the Course and Heading bugs (both increase and decrease) to rotary knobs on the RP48, by completing key assignments in the JS4100 ini file, and then using FSUIPC keys and buttons assignments (cant seem to assign the altitude bug thogh), and the bugs respond to the knob movements, but move very slowly (too slowly to be usable). Any idea how the rotary knobs can be assigned and/or re-calibrated to increase the response?Also, as PMDG has not released many key assignments for this aircraft, it is generally difficult to fully utilize all GoFli…
