Does anyone know what buttons/switches are on the real JS41 yoke?

Is there some tweak to increase the volume of ATC. I have it selected to max with engs selected low and yet I can barely hear ATC.I'm sure this is not isolated to me.Thanks,

I just purchased the PMDG JS4100 and it seems like a very nice aircraft but in 5 attempts at flying her it ended up with my graphics going haywire ( ie floating switches, no cockpit, bits and pieces all over the place.) I have yet to complete one full IFR flight. I have the configuration turned right down to low and still the same thing. Also the only landing I did make the spoilers stayed up which didn't matter because a minute later my aircraft disappeared altogether. I've tried my other aircaft (All A2A; This is my only PMDG aircraft) and they all work fine. The main thing that I found which makes the graphics go crazy is when I select maps. Hey folks,Thinking about buying the js41 and making a home cockpit setup, I also want to make a pc12. To decide which is best I just wanted to know if the js41 overhead panel, heading, course buttons and such are available to assign to a hardware panel through fsuipc? I know some of the newer planes have internal control for these so its impossible to do. Any thoughts would be great as there is nothing worse than half way through the build finding a really important button like the starter or heading select is only available as a click item. (in the js41 this would worse because of no 2d overhead panels)Thanks alex

Hello, does anyone have the pfc turboprop throttle set up and working with th J41I havn't had any luck with configging it at all. Throttle works fine with other turboprops (Twin Otter, King Air etc. I have the latest versions of FSUIPC4 and the PFC DLL . Any assistance would be welcome Cheers Brian H

Hello, after several test flights with this fantastic aircraft I found that the Bank Limit switch is possible to switch on (LOW) but I think it is not really function. When I fly in HDG mode and turn to new course, there is not different bank If the Limit Bank is ON (LOW) or not. Do you have the same experience or do I something wrong? Not the smoothest, but everybody lived. I was demoted and had to pay for the soiled upholstery in the passenger compartment, but I won my bet anyway!

I enjoy the JS4100, which I am running with Active Sky Advanced. However, I find it is very sensitive to icing, even in conditions that should not produce icing, such as flying well above or clear of any cloud cover. It seems to be necessary to engage all deicing systems, including manually engaging the airframe autocycle on a very frequent and repetetive basis in order to prevent an icing warning on the Cap and/or engines shutting down in flight. Is this normal for the real world JS4100? I don't see much posted on this topic, so maybe my simulation is not running properly.Paul Lowry

Looking for a little help with the J41, PMDG support tried to figure a solution to this problem but could not come up with one. I can get both engines running and can take off and fly around just fine, the problem is when I try and turn the left side avionics on I get a CTD, the right side comes on and works just fine. I ran the repair option for FSX and finally did a complete reinstall with no change to the problem.Tom Helmers

I was playing with 3D Shockwave Lights and lost my JS41 backup panel.config file.Would someone please send be a copy of the following from your JS41 panel.config, lines gauge183 and gauge184, if there is one. hello,I have a strange problem (behaviour) of the Jetstream: I bought it about a month ago. There I used Win7. The aircraft was installed and activated and worked fine. Now, for some reasons I went back again to Vista64. I installed the aircraft too and if I try to load it everytime the FSX crashed to desktop (heavy error...). The first time it took place already when I activated the software and I don't know if the problem starts here. I can't set back the systemsettings to a point before the Jetstream-installation. I have a nasty texture mapping issue doing a Sky Express repaint of the JS41.The problem is obvious in attached screen shot. The left hand nacelle has the same issue!I hope someone from the PMDG graphics team can help me find where this detail is hidden in the PMDG_J41_MasterT map, so I can correct the mis-mapping.BTW, I am using PSP X2 (I'd rather spend money on a trip to Tahiti then on Photoshop......)Hans Wilms

A few days ago when I displayed the FMS (SHIFT+3), there was an extension displayed underneath the FMS in the same window, which included the thumbwheel from the center console used in modulating vertical speed and IAS in climbs and descents. This was very useful but when I display the FMS now , I cannot get the thumbwheel to display in the same window. Does anyone know how to do this ? I stumbled onto it but I cannot get it back. I know that setting cyan speed bug (VR) will give you a "Call Out" to rotate, but is there more to it than that ... such as some interaction with the aircraft computers? And on Approach ..... should I move the VYSE (green - Approach and Touchdown) to the upper left hand corner prior to landing? I'm not getting the relevance to setting the speed bugs ... unless it's just for reference? I could not find a whole lot of explanation the the Operators Manuals. :(
