PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

Let's try again...The Jetstream was working perfectly (well, it did CTD a few times at first) before I added SP1. Now, whenever I attempt to select it the screen goes black but the mouse pointer remains. Nothing else will happen and I'm forced to CTRL-ALT-DELETE out of FSX. Searching here I haven't found any solutions...BTW, I'm running FSX on a new iMac with Vista Business under Bootcamp.Update: After the black screen, I can hit ESC, then Return and 1 in 3 times the plane will load fine. 2 out of 3 times it's another CTDJason Dunn

I am using the Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System. Does anyone know if the Saitek radio panel and possibly the Pro Flight multi panel will work with the J41. I am hoping that the radio panel would make frequency selection easier. I doubt the multi panel will work though as it looks like it has its own built in autopilot system. It's hard to find out enough information on these two products other than general reviews.

I did all planning for a long flight, considering JS41, and I was surprised that FMC showed me in the middle of flight I was 1h short. DTG was 465 and GS 306, then I still had 1:30 to reach destination, bt FMC was showing 2:32. 1h longer.I did the math an noticed I was ok and probably FMC wasn't doint its math properly. 4 minutes later it shows the correct ETE.I really don't know what was wrong, didn't change de FP and all my previous calculations done before flight used distance displayed at FMC. I is not boddering me but think you guys should check. I'll also monitor this time during my flight to see if it repeats.

Is there a way to assign the up and down arrows on the keyboard to the Altimeter select function? I think it would be much easier to change the altimeter using the keyboard then the mouse. I just bought the Bae JetStream 4100 and I am using FSX SP2 on Windows 7 64Bits with a quad core processor. I'm the administrator of my PC (only one account : the administrator account). The PMDG program was properly installed and activation has been achieved. I have the Visual C++ 64 Bits installed ok.But when I selecte the BAE in the list of my FSX aircraft, FSX stops running with error message like: An unexpected error occurred. I have other planes (CaptainSim: 727 FSX Wilco Airbus Vol1, Carenado C172 and PA28) and I have no problem. Thank you to show me how to solve this problem because I can not yet use my purchase. I know this is minor, but in some aircraft the target approach speed bug setting is green, with the J41 tutorial it is magenta (according to the tutorial). I would think there would be an aviation standard; each color bug representing a particular speed that would apply to all aircraft. Am I wrong here?Curt Branch

Recently purchased this product, fairly in depth sim anyway thats for sure.1 thing which is onto the question / topic ...Is there anyway like you can with default/freeware and other payware aircraft create a flight plan in microsoft flight sim itself and toggle the NAV1/GPS switch so you can fly the GPS planned route?Regards,Martin.

Hi Gents, I was hoping someone would know what the operating weight of the sensor equiped model was? Assuming there would be 2 pilots and about 4 crew in the back? Want to get the B1900C but PMDG site says compatability is Win XP only. I run both FS9 and FSX on Vista. I want to use this plane on FS9 with an AirSeaTac livery. Will this not work on my computer?

I have been following the tutorial, but am finding that the J41 captures the ILS for runway 19L (I-SGC) at KIAD rather than the ILS for runway 01R (I-IAD). This is in spite of setting the course to 011 when it appears in magenta on pressing the V/L button.I have approached from the South and the North as I read elsewhere that, for runways that share the same ILS frequency, FSX will tune the ILS in the direction you're currently flying when you tune the ILS, but the result is the same i.e. it tunes the wrong ILS. Hi!After a break I decided to take my JS 41 out of the hangar but got a CTD selecting it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the aircraft but with no success. SP1 is installed. I haven't installed anything to FSX after the JS41! It worked before! Any ideas?Kind regardsMagnus Kj

I'm flying to a remote field in FTX, the WX is getting low and I'd rather fly the Instrument App, but the Airport doesn't have VOR NDB or an ILS, but its does have a GPS App, just not in the Navigraph database (go figure). So.....I was wondering, if I could 'build' a GPS approach withing the FMS, in the form of Coordinates. So ATOC (IF) is S42.33.2 E77.24.2 and I could put all the waypoints in like that using coordinates and then putting in the 'Alt Const' into the VNAV Calculator of the FMS. Is this possible? Obvsioulsy the Navigraph database won' have the Approach waypoints in there so I can build them. This wouldn't happen in real life (you'd get fired) but I want to b…

On a night flight yesterday, I noted that in spot plane mode the passenger cabin was in darkness.The cockpit lights illuminated both pilots well.I discovered the cabin light switch below the fuseboard behind the FO seat.It made no difference.Secondly, on landing at Jersey I had difficulty finding the taxiways, as the taxi and landing lights proved very dim, and lit the tarmac ahead very poorly.Does anyone else see this problem? Hey guys. I bought the JS4100 about a month ago. I haven't done much flying for two reasons. One is my computer cannot handle the JS4100 that good and second, it can't handle FSX that good either. Well the other day I was going to do a flight, I started up the default flight in FSX and then switched to the JS4100 which was setup for a cold and dark cockpit. I followed the checklist procedures and when the engines were started up, I tried to turn on the FMS by pressing the ON button and I just saw a yellow bar across the screen. I tried to repeat the start up process numerous times, restart the computer, the only thing I haven't done yet is re-install the airplane. Any ide…
