to allow the user to disable raindrop effects on the windshield. I appreciate the effort, but it adversely affects performance and doesn't look good to my eyes. Seems the config manager could allow a checkbox to Disable Windshield Raindrop Effect.Thank you, and please do consider this option, so that folks who enjoy it can keep it, and vice versa.Noel

Hi,As I am new, my name is Fabrice and I live in France.I enjoy my JS41 around Australia and Europe, but it would be wonderful if I can also fly it over the carribean sea.I don't think there is any airline company that operates JS41 in this area, but I've found a very nice and colorful livery on airliners.net. Have the flight deck cold and dark now (thanks to those who ceated the LUA codes). Now, I get the engines started ok, following checklists and tutorial, but when throttles are advanced torque wont increase beyond 25%. I remove startlocks after start and get verbal confirmation from the co-pilot. What else have I missed?????????????? :(Just noticed- Throttles wont advance past 8% when using my quadrant or F3 on keyboard. I can however click and drag the trottles to full.Anybody?

Yes I would lik to know if PMDG is going to create a version of the 1900c and 190d for flight sim X it would be nice to have one to buy. I enjoy and very plesed with the js 4100 awesome aircraft. Any insight on this anyone

Dear Engineers! My JS41 which is running excellently in all respects has suddenly lost its engine sounds. Cockpit sounds are fine, also the little GPU is Ok but when the main engines start - silence both on the ground and in flight. I've checked other payware a/c in the hanger and they are fine no problems. Would be grateful for any suggestions as to cure. Very many thanks, Bruce :( [FSX, Windows 7 x 64.

Hi guys!Like a few others on here, I was suffering from graphical glitches with the J41. Mostly when i'd exited a menu, returning to the flight would result in missing textures (sky, ground, aircraft etc), a flickering cockpit or just no picture at all. Occasionally pressing ESC a couple of times would 'reset' the picture so it would return to normal, but not always. I seem to have sourced it to using Real Environment Xtreme generated weather, or real world weather. First I set up a flight with REX real world weather, flew around a bit, then used a menu function. On return to the aircraft the textures had disappeared. I then reset, used FSX weather but set it to dep…

Hi, I can't get reverse thrust to work properly. Engaging it is easy but when I want to go back to idle the aircraft makes a violent jump forward. RT is mapped to a joystick button with FSUIPC (decrease throttle, repeat). Any ideas how to correct that? Thanks in advance...

Here is how I resume a flight (cruise) in progress:After FSX loads your saved flight, Press SHIFT+3 and SHIFT+5. 1) Turn on the FMS and center the heading bug by pressing the HEADING button on the AP Panel. Press the ALT and HDG buttons and they will illuminate. You are now flying a straight and level flight provided that you save it that way.2) Press the FPL option on the FMS and enter the plan or press DIRECT TO. Then press the LNAV button on the DISPLAY CONTROLLER and then the VNAV button on the AP panel. It should read CAP. Your flight has now been resumed.jja

I've compiled a simplified JS41 checklist for my own use but I think that other newcomers for whom, like myself, the start up procedures are not yet second nature might find it useful. It is in Excel and apparently it is not possible to upload Excel files to this board. As an Excel file it has the advantage that it can be easily amended to suit individual preferences. Hey it's well modeled and very well done for sure, but the sound on this thing! It is the most unpleasant sound of any aircraft I've ever own for the entire FS series! The B1900 was very cool sounding. I love the 747 as well. Oy for this thing tho!So far, it's a plane I'm going to have to play with a while to see if it's for me. I need to delve into the FMC some more. I have loaded up new flight plans, and set up a few things, but it's hard to tell what's happening with it, the FMC that is. The raindrop effects i'm not too keen on as well. Don't get me wrong, I have purchase a total of 4 PMDG products, and loved them all. But this things maybe not a good fit…

Hello folks -I purchased the JS4100 back in the early fall. Since that time, I've replaced Vista with Win7 on three occasions and this past week, for the 4th time.Finally, I am up and running and installed the JS4100 and when I went to activate, a window stated it had been activated too many times. I looked fora contact site for PMDG to email with my activation key and explaination, to no avail. What do I need to do to reactivate this program.You help would be highly appreciated.Tom Higginbotham

Hello,as i am working my way thru the checklists, i came across the hydraulics. I've had the case before, where i had set everything off (not per shutdown checklist) to have a cold and dark start. I've noticed when taxiing i have absolutly no braking power (i think due to closing the hydraulic LP valves). The manual says i can activate the emergency brake system by pulling the handbrakes... which has no effect. The manual also calles for checking the emergency hydraulics selector by lifting the panel and verifying the selector is in the normal position. Is this actually modeled in the sim, because i cant figure out how to lift it? Also the hand pump the manual mentions, i…

I have the CD version of JS41 (v1.10.1016) and run Win 7, FSX SP2 on a rig with 4gb RAM, 2 core CPU and a GTX260.I've tried using the Tutorial1 flight as well as loading a default aircraft and switching to the JS41.I'm experiencing several problem which all seem to be related to clicking on various items.Speed card -when I click on this it moves to the pedestal but the cover is completely black and it doesn't respond to further clicks so I can neither open it nor move it off the pedestal.Clicking on the designated hot spots or pressing shift+Number doesn't bring up the 2D windows but I can open these using the FSX/View/Instruments menuRamp manager - SHIFT+2 doesn't bring…

Is there any news on the UK relase date for the CD/DVD version of the JS41? as I believe it has already been released in the US and continental Europe. I have it on preorder but the retailer hasn't given a delivery date yet.

Hi today i took my js41 for a 4 sector trip around new zealand (NZPM-NZNS-NZCH-NZQN-NZCH) on the first sector it was raining at both airports (NZPM-NZNS) the water effects from the engines worked fine. but on the ground in NZCH (no rain) they were still there and in the air on the NZCH-NZQN-NZCH sectors they were there also is this a known problem?? Hi all.Bought the J-41 recently, love it!Just having problems trying to configure FSUPIC to allow C&D. I know changes/additions need to made to a few files and thats where I'm having trouble. Can someone please explain, step-by-step, how to modify the files and FSUPIC.Thanks in advance.

Hi,I have two problems which someone might be able to help me with:1. The spoilers won't activate on landing, even thought they are armed and reverse thrust is activated.2. When inputting 'departure' data into the FMS, I can't seem to input a runway without also having to input a SID. Is this correct?Thanks

In game, the PMDG Options menu and the load state are blank. Is this supposed to be like that? I have the 747-4x, 747-8 and md11 from PMDG installed as well. The sound is impossible to tune (even on engines sound off, and the pmdg sound tuning set to minimum the engine sounds are overwhelming). The 747x/8 and md11 are working perfectly. Ive tried reinstalling the J41 but it doesnt change anything. Wondering if this is a feature or a bug?

I can't seem to get the J41 spoilers to deploy. I have armed them, but they do not deploy when I press the button on my joystick that I have assigned to "Spoilers (arm/retract"). This works perfectly on the Flight1 Citation Mustang, but do I have to do something extra on the J41?

Hi,I am a user for fs9. I am looking for a jetstream 41 and noticed that you have one but for fsx only. Please could you make the js41 for fs9 aswell? I have looked at videos of it and it looks good.Also will you be making a js31 for fs9?Dale

For some reason, I can't seem to get the J41 to slow to a complete stop on the runway without applying the brakes. Even if I slow it down to a crawl, when I release the brakes it just carries on inching forward forever. I know for a fact that this was not the case a short time ago, so does anyone have any idea as to what might be causing this? Even more importantly, how do I solve the problem?
