After some time off from the Jetstream, I'm flying it more regularly these days (party to gaze in awe at my new UTX+GEX combo), and I'm having trouble with the electrical system after engine start. So, here's what I do. I have a flight. I land, kill the engines the way I should (i.e., I know how to engage the start locks). Connect the external power, shut down the other stuff, and take a short break and plan my next flight and then go back to the bird. Then, I preflight and program FMS on Ext Power, fire up the engines and then turn on the battery and generator. I disconnect the the ext power, turn on the avionics and fire up the FMS again and it turns off in the self tes…

Hi,I'm guessing this is nav data related, but AFAIK the nav data is that supplied with the aircraft (I have not actively updated the J4100 nav data).I entered a departure of EGNJ, an arrival of EHAM, and selected the STAR TOPPA1 (after selecting the arrival runway 06). After accepting TOPPA1 it crashed. Best regards,Robin.

Now that I managed to get FSX to run without crashing every 5 mins (nothing to do with the J41 just a stupid uiautomationcore.dll) I am now learning to fly this awsome aircraft. Im getting around 25 fps which i did not think my machine was able to do lol but some tweaking goes along way. Im really want to get the 737NG when it come out but im wondering if it going to need more umphh than the J41. Anyway id like to thank the guys and gals at PMDG for this great aircraft.Andy

I was looking on the PMDG website for the Beechcraft 1900c paintkit, but the link appears to be wrong. It points to the 737NG Fuelplanner instead of the 1900c paintkit. Can this be fixed?

At about 25 nm outside of Fresno I hit approach button to gently turn onto the active LOC. I was travelling at 230kts and descending at 1000fpm to 3000. I started making a gentle 15-20 degree bank to line up on the localizer and poof, aircraft overstressed--no flaps, no gear, no erratic movements. Has anyone else experienced random overstresses?-Phillip

Is there a problem with the strobe lights not functioning (does the J41 even have strobes or just the CONSPIC lights?), or the white nav light shining, or the beacon flashing? Also, I dont see the actual nav lights themselves, all I see are the glow cast by the lights, but the actual light source is missing.-Phillip

Hi!I've just purchased the JS41, and started to dig myself deeply into the AOM. :( According to the AOM, when both generators are online, and the emergency lights switch on the roof panel is in the OFF position, the amber "EMER LTS" caption should be illuminated on the CAP.I think this is not working, or do I something wrong?

Instead of cluttering the repaint request thread with posts, I thought I'd start this thread. I am trying my hand at repainting the JS41. Does anyone know where the decals for the emergency exits are located? I want to get rid of them (I can find the emergency handle layers, but not the decals). Thanks.

Hello all. I've installed the JS41 Upgrade and several additional liveries recently. Prior to that and other than the documented un-fixed bugs, Icould see the strobes activate once I hit the switch - lined up on the runway for take off.All of that has changed. Now, I can see a 'hint' of the wing-tip NAV lights. I can no longer see the red beacon. Conspicuity has disappeared, etc. At first I thought it occured after installing the HKG Flying Service Livery. But, now I'm at a loss. From the TOP DOWN view, I can see the wing-tip lights AND the (working) red flashing beacon. But, from the walk around, zippo, nada, zilch. Is it the upgrade that has done this?Suggestions on a…

Hi AllWell after a VERY painful process of loading JS4100 onto my system, it FINALLY works although now after about 10-15 min it shuts FSX down. It takes me that long just to get the aircraft powered up on onto the runway. No other add-on does this, does anyone else have this problem.Cheers Chris Cartwright

This is not just one or two people now. Tried rebuilding another FSX.cfg, couldn't find Registry Toolkit, etc. Was working gr8 yesterday, now crash to desktop! Help!Since yesterday when all was well:1. Have not changed any driver settings.2. Log in to Vista same3. Only change I can trace is I selected Australia scenery in FTX Orbx control panel. Changed back to PNW, no change in the loading of J4100. 4. DID download and install two liveries for the J4100 today before discovering this issue. Have tried to load the former J4100 I had been flying, which were add on liveries, to no avail. Can't seem to think of any other changes except time: went to Daylight Saving…

Hey guys - I'm having trouble with the J41. When I go to select it from the GUI or within the game, I get the activation code box. I've been operating the J41 since her release and have never had any activation problems, and haven't been asked about reactivating since the install. I tried re-entering my code several times, but get an error saying that "This is an unlicensed copy and may not perform as expected". Thoughts or ideas? Thanks in advance.Buddy Morgan

Hi everybody,I just downloaded the J41 and installed it. There was no request for key input, so I assume that the plane will not work. I saw the thread with doing this via the task manager, but I cannot find the activation. Would be grat if some can tell where to find the activation.ThanksPeter Meinel Oh sorry I forgot to tell my OS Windows7 Home Premium 64

When using the default GPS, after an approach is selected, the ILS LOC FREQ is automatically loaded to the VOR1 standby FREQ. Can I find the runway ILS FREQ in the JS4100 FMS somewhere?TIAjja

I asked about this in another thread and was told the config utility on low or medium settings would remove them. I just set the External model and the VC Models to LOW, and also the Panel to NORMAL, saved the settings, loaded the aircraft and the raindrops persist. I really don't like this effect, especially when the plane is moving. I am flying in the ORBX PNW, where it both rains alot and is taxing to process, so I don't want any additional effects that can adversely affect performance. Please advise how I can disable this without disabling the weather. Thanks,Noel

Hi, I recently purchased my first PMDG aircraft, the BAe JS4100, and I have a little trouble here getting my Saitek Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant to work similar to the one in the JS4100. I wonder if someone here would be so nice to help me setting this up or at least pointing out the limitations of this "bundle". Please note that I'm not a very professional sim pilot. I'm rather new to this and I'm more a causal pilot. First of all if I put the condition lever on the Saitek quadrant to 100% it only sets the condition lever of the JS4100 to 96%. Which is in fact out of the take off, landing, climb and cruise range…

Guys,I love the j41 but this issue has kept me from using it for a while. With the release of PNW, I would really like to start using the aircraft for shorter hops. The problem that I have is when the autopilot is ON, trimming the plane manually will disconnect the autopilot which makes perfect sense. However, if I want to increase or decrease my vertical speed using the small trim wheel next to the autopilot buttons, I can click on it using my mouse but the little trim wheel will start spinning out of control either up or down.Naturally, this makes using the autopilot pretty difficult. I was hoping there was a thread somewhere that I missed that might have fixed this iss…

I was considering purchasing the JS4100 but wanted to know if the gauges in the JS4100 are DPI-aware since my setup is running Windows 7 at 150% DPI. I have the excellent 747-400X but I have some visual issues with the gauges and FMC if I don't set the DPI back to normal and was curious if PMDG addressed this in their JS4100.Thanks,Wally
