PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

I wonder if someone could help me pin down what it is that I am not doing at take off that results in a red warning light (plus sound) until I leave the runway? I had thought that this was due to not arming the spoilers, but it still happens after correcting that oversight. I am starting the flight at the runway threshold with engines running, and the condition levers set to Flight mode.On a side note, after arming the spoilers before take off, they now work perfectly on landing when activating the reverse propellor pitch (the green light appears). Maybe nothing of consequence to most of you, but it gave me a thrill :(

Hello,I downloaded the Japanese skin and now I can see the "360 Degree Search Radar" like my screen shots, anybody could say to me if with the other skins which are available to downloading we can have this version with the "360 Degree Search Radar" or only the Japanese version allows to have these radars ?Some screens of this configuration with the "360 Degree Search Radar" :A great thank's for all and best regard, Skulleader.

Hi guysJust wondering if I can ask one question about the J41. Obviously you've got the animated passengers in the back - that's great. Did you consider having an animated First Officer? I ask, because it would look great instead of the empty seat. Was this not included due to it being too FPS-intensive?

Hi.I am trying to activate the J41 on my FSX Acceleration, but I am getting an error when i try to. When I click on the plane in the aircraft selection menu, and it starts to load, before i do anything, I get the error message: '' Initialization of License Failed'', and then ''Error: Activattion Library Initialization Failed.'' Then, after I type the code, I ge the same ones again. any ideas?

I successfully transported the B1900D to FSX, but am wondering how to install the liveries I had. Can someone help?

I have installed the J41 for FSX and am going through the tutorial, but when I press SHIFT-2 for ramp manager..nothing shows up. I have also tried using the VIEW Button from the toolbar with the same result..nothing. I am also running into the same probelm with the speed card..I click on it to bring it up and all I get is a black box with nothing displayed. Then I also can not put it away.Any thoughts? I guess it's true, from the tutorial since the ILS freq is given in the manual. Tell me though, is it possible it is in the FMS, even though I don't see it? Seems odd to have an FMS with no frequency provided, leaving you with either the default FSX Garmin, or an approach plate. Tell me I'm missing something!Noel

Hello, Today, I turned on my FSX and started the J41 as I had a strange problem. I did the startup sequenze as every time, but this time the EADI wont's show the speed bugs. And the gauge for the ammeter looks different to the last times. The fond size seems to be bigger. Anyone who know this problem?Thanks for your help!

I've compiled a simplified JS41 checklist for my own use but I think that other newcomers for whom, like myself, the start up procedures are not yet second nature might find it useful. It is an Excel file and therefore can be easily amended to suit individual preferences and requirements.This isn't a complete checklist and neither is it a substitute for the AOM and Tutorial. :( JS4100 Weather Radar Blank.Like a lot of people who bought the JS4100, there is no working WXR. So instead of buying more SW I decided to have a go of placing some thing on the blank Honeywell screen when DC power is applied. Its not as good of course as the working Radar, but its to me a lot better than flying the plane with a blank screen. I have a query about reinitiating a failed engine start. I started the port engine as normal without problems. However, the starboard engine had somehow managed to unfeather itself and wouldn't start properly i.e. the gauges did not reach their normal parameters. I decided to abandon the procedure and, as an experiment, wait for the EGT to drop then try again. Had I known how long this would take, I probably wouldn't have bothered but after about 40 minutes (with the port engine still running) the EGT had dropped to the ambient temperature (15C) and I tried again (having checked that the prop was unfeathered) but the master start switch kept resetting itself back to Air…

Please help - System- VISTA SP1 FSX with acceleration loaded. Dual core with 4gig ram and GTX 280. All other PMDG products run well namely 747 and MD11. I downloaded J41 from the net and did activate the sim. When I run the tutorial in FSX it crashes after about 10 minutes. If I fly normaly and click on the FMC the game crashes. Is there a patch comming? I do believe I have the latest version down loaded 3 weeks ago. This has occured 10 times and I am not sure what to do.

Has anyone here tried doing a single engine taxi in the J41?Is the plane controllable?

I'm just about to get me a brand new desktop (FSX), and I plan to buy the Jetstream since all the comments here about it are so positive.I just thought I might give the FS9 B1900 a go in the mean time, just to see what this turboprop thing is all about, but I can't find the manuals in the PMDG's web site. I've recently purchased this product and was shocked! Not sure how this kind of thing cancost so much! Just to prove:Is this really the way the passenger cabin should look at $45 payware product?Are the two shots below from MSFS 2000?? Nope. They are from J41 in FSX!Why there are no icing effects on side windows? Not realistic, although realism was promised.These are just randoms. to allow the user to disable raindrop effects on the windshield. I appreciate the effort, but it adversely affects performance and doesn't look good to my eyes. Seems the config manager could allow a checkbox to Disable Windshield Raindrop Effect.Thank you, and please do consider this option, so that folks who enjoy it can keep it, and vice versa.Noel
