I have had the JS41 since it first came out. Tried to fly it for the first time in a while and it CTD immidiately upon loading it from "Free Flight" mode.So I uninstalled / reinstalled, but no luck.After reading some posts on here, I removed my FSX.cfg file so it could rebuild. THAT WORKED !!!BUT...that caused problems with several other aircraft. So what I was hoping was some one could tell me how I could "manually" modify my FSX.cfg file to get things working again. Ok I seem to cant find out how to turn the radio stack on I have a blank screen. I dont have this issue with outher aircraft and I have looked over the manual. Marvin Brooks

Can someone please help me with the GPU is there a hotkey to connect and disconnect it from your JS41?? I can not load FSX SP2 My graphics card does not support it. My system is a Toshiba Satellite A205 32bit runnng on Windows Vista

I have recently upgraded from Vista x64 to Win 7 x64 and carried out a full install after formatting my hard drive. This obviously involved reloading FSX and the JS41. I tried to go through the Tutorial again and got as far as operating the FMS, which turns on OK, but in the tutorial the screen shows KHPN already entered after it starts but my yellow box is blank, all other characters are there. If I enter the ident manually and press Enter nothing happens, it wont go passed this stage.I'm loading the aircraft as per the tutorial by loading the default C172 first then the JS41 tutorial - have I missed anything ?Glen Coyne

I have one of my 8 position thumb switch positions on an X52 throttle for selecting vertical speed, OBS Vector, heading and alt bugs but they don't seem to work except for the VS selector.Cntrl_Shft+V - VS BugCntrl_Shft+A - Altitude BugCntrl_Shft+H - Heading BugCntrl_Shft+Z - OBS BugWorks on the F1 Cessna Conquest. Then I use Shift (pinkie)+the view axis on the twist stick either forward to zoom in =, or back to zoom out -.How are these mapped and is that info in the users guide that I missed because I'm too lazy to read it but really want to.BTW, I'm using the Saitek Profiler to do these mappings - one profile for each plane.TIAjja

Let me just first of all say that I am a newbie to prop planes. Love the work you have done with the j41! I have a question regarding A/P and climbing to a specific altitude: I press the ALT on the mcu and the aircraft will hold at the altitude I am currently at or passing (if Im in a climb while pressing ALT and engaging AP the AC will start descending towards the alt I was at when engaging ALT). If I have selected FL160 by the alt select knob and press the alt select button on the MCU, it will only light up with "ARM". Why is that? The tutorial says that the alt button is actually working as a hold and select button at the same time, and if you are in a climb it will au…

Pushing the hold button should activate the holding-pattern page if a waypoint is highlighted, or another page if no wp is highlighted. This is what I read in the AOM. If I press the hold key, nothing happens- is the key non-functional or is this a bug?Also the TCAS is non-functional. Only if you press the TCAS-key; then you are able to see traffic, but if you change to another view (for example map v/l) the symbols disappear. Also no traffic-alert or RA is given, not by voice and not as a VS-command on the VSI. I guess there i a TCAS II installed, which gives RAs, because RAs are discribed in the AOM..But I guess this issue will be fixed in SP1.. I hope :( Regards,Matt…

Yes I could not help but to wonder How I can get my flightdeck to look so realistic as online. When I view these aircrafts on youtube the flightdeck seem so real how its as though your realy in the aircraft. Awesome I have been flying online and I guess the older I get the more I appreciate the details and realism...One more thing How do you set up your mouse to click on butons and look around the fligtdeck in the same without pressing anykeys, just using the mouse.Marvin Brooks

Yes I would like to know what I am doing wrong I read all the stickies and when I call up the Ramp Manager and click on the GPU it will not connect to the plan I have nothing I cant even open doors or remove the GPU when its time to taxi...Help me please.Marvin Brooks

I just bought the 747-400X and so would find a performance (fps/smoothness/IQ, etc) comparison meaningful. I am looking at the J41 versus FT's ERJ-145v2 for a regional carrier spot in my FSPax fleet.The 747-400X runs fine on my system close to maxed out in all areas.Noel

Hello, I think I'm missing something when it comes to the sequence of when I should program the FMS. In order to program the FMS I need power, which comes from the GPU at the gate, but in order to push back I have to disconnect the GPU so I lose power and all the FMS data that I programmed? I can not push back with the engines running so it looks like I can only programme the FMS after push back and engine start? Is that correct?thanksJay Vasto

Hi all.After reading abaout the "shortcut" to setting correct reduced power setting for takeoff (the lower white hashmark), I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of the actual tables for setting the exact powersetting based on the assumed higher temp, runway length, TOW and so forth...? As Rod explains in the the tutorial, the lower white hashmark is correct ALMOST every time. That's not good enough for me ;)They must be somewhere? Hope not in the documentation, because then I ovelooked it...Thx for your help!Mas

Just my counter thoughts to the vexatious thread of recent days.I LOVE the J41, it runs as smooth as silk on my relatively modest system, and I have not yet seen a better VC, nor systems presentation in any other aircraft in my voluminous FSX hangar. Hi all.I'm new to the Jetstream and I'm very impressed by this sim.I've found only one thing that seems strange to me:When I go in engage ALT mode on the PA, the nose up / nose down wheel reacts as I exept :turning the mouse wheel aft selects a slower speed and turns the pitch wheel aft too.But if I select IAS mode, turning the mouse wheel aft gives a faster speed and leads to the pitch wheel turning front.Is that a bug or something I missed in the manual?Regards and best flights.Cyril Murat

Hello, I love this new J41 and I'm flying it exclusively these days. I have had a reoccuring issue however. When turned toward final approach by ATC (Radar Contact) I have been 1) to far away from airport to capture the localizer, I stay on the course given to intersect but localizer never comes alive and I end up flying of course until I disconnect AP and fly back to runway. I think this is more of an RC issue.2) I've been lined up with the runway, localizer comes alive but the GS doesn't. I get the green "GS" and see the glidescope move but the plane doesn't track it. Am I doing something wrong? I have the APP armed and then is goes to CAP, but nothing from the GS, I ju…
