Hi,I'm enjoying the JS4100 a lot, but have some problems with the autopilot. There are two types of problems:The first is that the autopilot very often starts oscillating. For instance when I have to descent (I choose IAS and throttle down a bit), the plane starts to descent, but then the VS starts to decrease, it may even climb a little, and then it starts to descend again. This is very irritating because RadarControl's controller really do not like it when I do not descent when asked to :)The other problem is that the autopilot often wants to disconnect right after I turn it on. The other day I was in a steady climb with IAS and Alt select on, the plane could fly itself …

Hey Fella's I was thinking about buying the Weather Radar from RXP for my JS4100. I wanted to know if it easy to put it into JS41's VC. I'm not very good with coding and editing hmtl etc...never done it in FSX before. I just wanted to know if it easy to install it or what not. I looked into the JS4100 Manual and didn't see anything about how to install the RXP WX Radar so that is why I am asking here. As always truly do appreciate the help. ThanksRon Hamilton

Hi all,I have a big problem with my Jetstream. The toe brake and the parking brake have no effect at all. The engines are running, hydraulicpressure is ok and either when I activate the toe brakes or the parking brake the needles in the instrument which shoes the brakepressure go up - but the plane doesn

Is there any way to prevent that happening? Last flight during climb it kept disconnecting every minute. I think due to wind shifts, only happened when plane jerked suddenly and wind changed on FMS display. My joystick is calibrated properly with quite large null zones just to make sure that's not the fault.Grzegorz Furmanski

Hey guys, I recently upgraded my whole PC, new motherboard processor etc, and I got Windows 7 64, and when I went to Re-Install the 4100 into FSX, the installer went straight to installing without asking me for my email, order number, or password. I made a backup of the original setup.exe as soon as I recieved my download link from PMDG when I purchased it. I already un-installed it, and when I attempted to re-install the same thing happend it just went straight to installing. Now heres the funny part, When you're at your home screen in FSX, where you can set up your flight, and select an aircraft (4100) it spins in the preview window and ask for... See Attached. Then I tr…

Something strange happened today. The plane was perfectly OK yesterday but when I loaded it today all displays are black and animations for throttle and condition levers are not working. I tried deleting fsx.cfg and everything wasOK again until I changed display resolution. I also tried reinstalling aircraft but that didn't help.Grzegorz Furmanski

was wondering if PMDG would consider adding similar landing lights as depicted below to both the J41 and upcoming 737NG?

Hey guys, Im here to ask some simple questions for all those smarties out there... when i start FSX everything goes well, I select destination etc, maybe I forgot to make a flight plan, so... I open the flight plan interface under task bar, return to game snd its a bunch of flashing, blinking black with stuff... Very irritating. Also sometimes I go to the cockpit right away with flight plan reading and there are little blinking blue squares (light you can still see everything but its annoying)

I just did tutorial flight for radar contact with default 737, compared to JS41 it's useless :). I got spoiled by PMDG. My usual score in FSFK is around 90% with JS41, with that pathetic 737 it was 2.5% :). it managed to stall on AP when I pressed approach. I've not flown default anything in a long time so that was shock to me how these things fly (mainly AP). So thanks PMDG for this great bird. Never again anyting which came with FSX (well maybe some GA).G. Furmanski

So after attempting the tutorial for my ConcordeX, and failing at completing it (holy crap, that aircraft is incredibly complex and difficult to manage, everything happens REALLY fast), I decided to purchase the JS41 and try something a little slower :( . My initial impressions:Very easy on framesIncredible VC Great systems detailAwesome flight dynamicsI am really looking forward to spending time with this aircraft, and like others have said, it really lets you enjoy REX/GEX/UTX flying at the lower cruise altitudes and speeds.Great job PMDG.

Hi, anyone could help? The J41 works otherwise fine, except 3 issuses: 1. The Ramp Manager opens normally, but do not accept commands at all 2. The RMI stays dark and unusable 3. The Speed Charts pop up as a dark/black page and can not be used.PMDG`s support says that : either I have nor SP2 or C++ 2008 is damaged: but I have SP2 installed and also C++ 2008 updated. I have W7/64.Does somebody have any suggestion?br Gabor

Never had any problems with the JS until a couple of days ago. All views are perfect except in the VC. It is as if a rectangular flashlight is blinking around in the cockpit. The rectangles are dim and therefore do not block out the view but obviously the plane cannot be flown with that going on. It happens at any airport so it is not that annoying beacon at the default location. Can anyone suggest a fix?. There have been no changes or addons recently so I don't have a clue. The blinking happens in the JS-41 only and reloading the plane or restarting FSX does not fix it.System is i7 LGA 1166, ASUS MB (forget the number), 6Gigs Corsair Dominator RAM, Sapphire 5870 graphics…

Workload during approach is very absorbing and great fun. Everything has been working really well so far for this newbie on final approach; IAS engaged at Target (say 123kts), flaps 25, APP engaged, aligned with the runway and on glideslope. But EGLC (London City) has a steep ILS descent - once clear of the financial district buildings. Suddenly it becomes clear that I'm above glideslope and trending higher. But throttles are already at flight idle. I've tried de-coupling the autopilot to regain glideslope by hand, but speed builds rapidly without enough loss of altitude, so I overshoot. What's the best way of dealing with this situation, whilst maintaining Target ? :( Ma…

Hi all,Whenever I am about to take off, and advance the throttles to full the take off configuration warning system sounds. I don't know why. Most of the time I ignore it and when I lift off, it stops. But I am a realism buff, and I feel as if I am doing something against procedure. I unfeather the props when I start, (BTW despite all the explanation on this topic, I still don't understand how to properly shut down the engine so that the props stay unfeathered. If anyone cares to try to help me understand, be my guest.), the trim is within the T/O zone, the flaps are set 9, and the condition levers are set flight. Still the alarm sounds. Thanks for your help!-Ethan Rayhorn

I have observed the following several times:When autopilot is in approach mode, altitude hold mode is off, and ILS is captured, the J41 descends slowly although it is already below glideslope. Only if the autopilot is in altitude hold mode before the ILS is captured, the glide path is correctly followed. Is this as it should be?Michael

Hi,when I fly the js41 then I often have strange grey polygons coming and going all over the screen, it is very very irritating althoug hit doesn't make it impossible to fly.Anyone else have this problem, and know a fix for it?Some flights are fine, but most have these stupid polygons flashing all over the place. It is the only plane I see this, so I assume its a js41 problem.Helge

I was enroute from KAUG to KBOS nearing the ILS for Rwy 22L with the J41 when I experienced a CTD (first one in a looong time). The event message was the following:Log Name: ApplicationSource: Application ErrorDate: 6/9/2010 8:09:12 AMEvent ID: 1000Task Category: (100)Level: ErrorKeywords: ClassicUser: N/AComputer: RichardSr-PCDescription:Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14Faulting module name: g3d.dll, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb58Exception code: 0xc0000005Fault offset: 0x0006cdd0Faulting process id: 0x2b4Faulting application start time: 0x01cb07be434c9ceaFa…

With my heavy add-ons I can haul them up to cruise then feel that I can safely go away and have lunch (or go to work on a really long haul). Not with this one, oh dear no ... Even being off in this browser window is making me nervous about not being there watching the ice and EGT cautions !It's fantastic !The CTD's are very consistent, they are on the tutorial flight very soon after I begin descending. I've flown the exact same flight plan at the same altitudes in another add-on which is a lot harder on the processor (heavy iron gets like that) and that did it just fine, so I don't *think* it's the computer being overstretched.I'm currently doing a local flight which is …
