PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

Nothing more frustrating than spending half an hour doing the switches and W&B only to burn the engines during startup even when I had unfeathred the blades (flat pitch when viewed from the side).Is there any indication as to when the next patch will come out so that one can be assured that when you start with the a/c it will have all its switches and systems in a really dark/off configuration? that would really be a godsent.So far I start with the C152 at the gates, then turn off all the systems of that a/c, then switch to the J41 and go on my J41 business but sometimes it goes right, sometimes it burns the engines.This was my last chance to finally do a full flight …

I don't believe this is a bug but has anyone had an issue with the FMS not powering up. If so, how do did you resolve the problem.Marc Stares

Hey Guys,I have installed the latest service packs for the J41 and when i enter FSX i first select the default Cessna 172 and then click 'Fly Now'. Hey all,I have been using the Be1900c in FSX for quite some time now. After installing REX 2.0 (maybe coincidental) I noticed that when I go to FSX-Aircraft-Fuel and Payload- and change fuel option.....the capacities have all changed. The aux are 92.7 and the left and right are 241.9. They used to be correct. Somehow these changed. Anyone know how this happened or better how to fix this? Thanks a bunch.Steve Ortega

I use the JS41 within AirHauler (I know its not cargo but I use the weight of Pax and cargo space to simulate my cargo weight) However Im having a few issues when loading the cargo through air hauler to the aircraft and how this interacts with the dynamic load sheet on the aircraft.First issue, in the aircraft.cfg file empty weight is defined as 14144, with a comment that it varies by reg. Which in the sim is apparent as my BA/BMI/EZE are all BOW of 14647 , but where is this figure coming from in the sim.Station LoadsI see that there are 6 station loads 0-5 and are labeled.I can see that the for cabin(2) and aft cabin(3), are made up of the figures from the seating, with …

Well, I finally bit the bullet & re-installed FSX.She got too bloated, so I put her down. Well, surprise surprise, the JS works like a charm now. i've installed win7 X64 a few days ago, and i've installed the JS today, but when i load the aircraft i get a message which says that i have to insert the activation-code.so i do that. but then it says "invalid activation ID: PMDG JS41-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX [incident# 8727-82583]"what goes wrong with my plane? may i have it installed to often? Hey guys, a fellow and me discussed a little bit on having a sound pack made for the J41... He sugested that we try TSS, so I contacted them and if they aprove we may have a real nice music going on herejust thought i'd let you knowOH! and I guess thety would have to contact pmdg for rights, etc so this may be a very long process I'l keep ya updated!!Steve

When I use the Instant Replay function in FSX, the spoilers never deploy, and I also can't detect the subtle sound change when the propellors switch to reverse pitch. I have armed the spoilers before take off, and they seem to deploy when I am actually landing the plane (the green light appears, and I can hear the sound of the reverse propellor pitch). Is this normal with the Jetstream 4100?

Sorry if its been asked already, but does anyone have a keyboard lua for the vertical speed/ias wheel?i have checked all the luas and keyboard command text files. (thanks for those by the way!)CheersMikey Dean

just pick up my J41 .. i like it very much. However, I have an issue with the engine sounds. Engine sounds are so loud in the flightdeck that i had to turn down the engine sound slider. But then that engine sounds will get lower and higher in volume automatically. I also noticed a BIG change in sound as you ascend through FL200.Anyone else experience engine sound problems? Anyone have the problem with the looped sound after shut down (I think it is Jet131.wav)? The sound just keeps on playing, like I said after shut down. :(

Hi, as you can see in the attached screenshot of the J41s panel, there are white pixels around the intruments. In the screenshot they are static (of course) but in action they are moving according to the direction of view. How can i get rid of these pixels? Thanks for help. Wolfgang Liehr

So now that the J41 has been out for a while, and I just finally got a rig built to handle FSX - is there a cargo version available? I'm looking to bring this into my company as a cargo plane.

I set NAV1 to VAS 115.90 with 109.50 (LOC) on standby, set CRS to 203 degrees and finally the ADF1 to ASU 360.00.During the base leg I configured myself for ILS approach tuning on the localizer (was on standby) and then pressed the VOR/LOC button to get the proper display on the EHSI. Hello,Several days ago I`ve installed J41 turboprop and it semms not to work well. Here is description:- ramp manager doesn`t work- I can`t change state of the red fields(there is now way to change it to green). In cosequence there is no ground power source available. - Overhead panel doesn`t seem to work also. There is no indication of change of state of systems( there is no voltage display, light indicators, can`t start anythint with opverhead panel switches). I have a problem with FMC not finding my flightplans when I start a flight from YSCH Coffs Harbour.Initialising the FMC I get YCFS as the Ident???This is the same with a flightplan generated by FSX or FSC 8.6.The PMDG flightplans are saved to the correct folder by FSC, but ofcourse with YSCH as the Ident.My flightplan for the tutorial at KHPN shows up as expected and with KHPN as the correct Ident.What could be the problem here?

After all the complaints and questions, i'd like to come out and thank the PMDG team for making all these bueitiful planes! Ive heard there are many more to come and would I be able to know what some of these planes are? :D I heard rumors about a dash 8 and I hope they are true is it? ThanksSteve

In the normal procedures it says to check the CG CALCULATOR to DETERMINE FINAL INDEX AND ELEV TRIM. I can not find such a calculator. Please help.Thanks,Lynn

Hello,I recently purchased and installed the PMDG J41 addon. However, I'm having an issue relating to the display. Whenever I am in the virtual cockpit view, I get graphical artifacts in the form of rapidly flashing grey blue rectangular shapes all over the screen:(It doesn't look anywhere near as bad in that screenshot simply because it's only 1 frame. :( But when they're flashing all over the screen, many a second, it is extremely irritating.)I am using the following:-AMD 5770 card (1680x1050 resolution)-Core i7 920-FSX SP2-Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bitFSX is in full screen mode, but it happens whether in full screen or windowed mode anyway.

Today during my unfortunate flight I was frantically looking all over the cockpit for a knob to increase/decrease the RANGE of the EHSI when in full map mode. I somehow recall having found it yesterday by accident but today no luck. I also looked in the manual and did not find any reference to it.Am I imagining it or is it really there?

OK, this time I finally managed to go through up and until take off checklists. I took off and was set to 16000' cruise altitude on both FMS and the ALT SEL knob. However there are several problems I had, one of them very serious:1. During climb I set pitch, etc (yes the whole checklist), set Autopilot ON, set HDG. The checklist says ALT SEL & IAS modes but they seem to be mutually exlusive, one deactivates the other. 2. While on climb (see above) I set the Auto Pilot ON on the console, the Yaw Damper apparently if one deactivates it it deactivate the AP. I quit clicking on the YD. The problem was that I enabled the Autopilot, went back to forward view (difficult to f…
