PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

Howdy All -- well after hours of reading the manuals and trying to find anything that looks like what the manuals mention, I am still in the dark, literally.Being late here, I am probably staring right at the solution, but not seeing it and just installed the BAe J41. My J41 gets those nasty bezel lines that snake around the borders of cockpit instruments.They are generally gone for night operations.My understanding was that PMDG was to "fix" this old problem, and that was a long time ago. If there is a fix would someone let me know what to do.And, yes, the J41 is the best, the only one I fly...but some times I think I have very small snakes onboard.zach

As I bought the boxed version around November 2009, how can I check, if i need to install the service pack, as indicated inside PMDG files section, as you are referring there to a specific download date? Second I would like to know, why did I need to register myself once again with a second username and pw using the new support section instead of using my PMDG username. To Robert and your entire crew. A HUGE THANKS for the J4100. I just got my system to somewhat run FSX and have been holding off purchasing a single add on as it was questionable if I could even run the default AC. Well after I got hings smoothed out to a satisfactory level, I decided to get the J4100. I figured as complex is this product is, if I could run this, I'm in good shape overall. I am using the normal settings with the Refresh on the FO side very low and Pilots side at 56%. It runs pretty darn good for me. Hi GuysI know I have missed something simple here so would appreciate a quick pointer in the right direction, have been away from the J41 for a while but been tempted back by the FS2 crew voice software so wanted to rerun the tutorial to get comfortable with procedures but am struggling to get an alignment [i think] on the gyros - ie no data appears on the EADI or EHSI although they are powered.Sorry guys - but this is driving me crazy.Roger McNeillEGPF

Good morning,If I want to fly the J41, I first load a standard plane (C&D), to avoid a flashing screen.Than I load the saved start situation with the J41. (Cold & Dark)Till then everything is normal. If I, after loading, change the plane in an other repaint, the plane load, but with the battery on. Then it isn't possible to start the engines. They "keep starting"I figured out that I first have to load the tutorial and after that, I can change repaint models and than I have to load the desired situation.It is a minor issu, but it means than I have to load three times a saved flight before I can start with the right plane in Cold & Dark.Anyone experience the sam…

After having a problem with FSX CTD whenever I had completed a FS2Crew Voice flight with the J41 I decided to uninstall both the J41 and FS2Crew and while I was at it I also decided to uninstall some other a/c I never fly anymore after learning how to fly the J41 with FS2Crew Voice, it really is an amazing feeling once you learn the correct flow...FS never felt more real to me!Anyway, after uninstalling both FS2Crew Voice and the J41 + my other a/c I was sitting with a very clean FSX installation at least from an a/c perspective...only the default MS a/c. Guys after trying the PMDG JS41, I really think they should make another one, my one problem is i do not wish to convert to FSX. I used to work for a company that flew an old aircraft, the EMB110- Bandirante. I have searched high an low for a good model, but to no avail have i found one. Now I know PMDG make some of the best models so I think to add an old classic to their list would be cool... Would be nice to see a EMB110 right down to detail instead of a crap panel an dodgy flight dynamics! JFK500

I have problems to do an ils landing with autopilot on.I have the feeling that I have to do everything manual. Speed, descending, etc. What is the autopilot doing automaticly?An example: I put he right descending hights in the fms, but still have to descent manually.No doubt I do the wrong things or forget something.May be there is a good other tutorial (written please) of an ils landing procedure.The PMDG tutorial is confusing. Hey all,basically my 1900D all of a sudden decided that the gauges werent very important and stoped showing them, instead i have now just got a fuzzy black circle where the gauge used to be, i re-downloaded it etc and still no change. i am using FS9. it is very possible i may have accidently deleted somthing in the cfg file, is someone able to help please? or atleast post what should be in the cfg file to possibly fix this? thank you very muchsmooth landings Andrew D

After a half year with good function with the J41 and many flighthours online with VATSIM suddenly the FMS-Display remains dark - without function. My system is XP PROF and FSX PROF.I´ve done troubleshooting with all. New installation FSX SP2 and J41. Registry cleaning and all things without succsess. PMDG answered with the known advice - FSX start with default flight and then handover to J41.But no solution - everything is tried, but the FMS Dispay is still dark. At moment I fly the J41 with VOR- navigation only without the FMS.In several internationals forums I´ve read about that problem - but no real solution was reported.It seems a deep systemfailure and PMDG…

I've been trying to delete what seams to be a discontinuity in the fms,a dotted green line.It doesn't go away by pressing "back" then "enter" like a regular waypoint instead it stays...I can't get rid of it,it is screwing up my whole flight plan calculations everytime,I always get it no matter the flight plan.How do you get rid of it?...or at least avoid it...Thank you,David Di Domizio

this plane should be started with cold and dark every fly!it is easy to have this,why not? being so fun,i just make a cold and dark condition and save it as a plan,everytime i fly the j41 i would load this "cold and dark" plan first,then change the airport and the time,etc.but it is inconvenient,does any one have a better way or coldanddark file?i ll appreciate.

Morn'n Folks, I noticed that Aerosoft has the boxed set of both the "C" and "D" models packaged together for a price of like $20.00... Hello,where in the documentation can I find take-off and landing distances at different weights for the J41?I browsed throught all the PDFs and could not find the proper chart. Since I wanted to do some flying in the Caribbean, the info would be much appreciated. If I have to take a bath in the Caribbean sea I'd rather do it with an air mattress and not an airplane.Thank you!

Hi,In the VC what is the most realistic zoom level to use to achieve the same perspective as when sitting on the left side in the real bird?

Is it possible to have the FMS powered ON without the use of GND PWR or engines running with generators switched ON?Reason I ask is normally I would setup the FMS before pushing back from the gate and I would start my engines after pushing back. Currently this doesn't seem to be possible as far as I can tell because when I disconnect the GPU prior to pushback the FMS shuts itself OFF and I will then not be able to switch it back ON before I've started at least one engine/generator or reconnected the GPU. And regardless I will have to re-program the FMS since it "forgets" everything when it shuts itself OFF.I wonder how this is done IRL?TIA for any input or tips!

I've been loving this aircraft. I just upgraded to new PC and lost my system hardrive during the process. I purchased the extended download during my intial purchase so I initiated a ticket at PMDG and asked for a link to re-download the product. I've done this several times with the same result; I get a form email asking me to buy the extended download package. Problem:I can open Configuration Manager tool and seemingly save changes. However, nothing actually saves. When I reopen the Configuration Manger, the default settings are back. Can anyone assist me resolve this issue. I'd like to adjust some settings to improve performance.note - Other than that, I've had no problems with J41. Hi to all,I have a product activation problem with the JS4100 Turboprop that I've bought in the past.I've recently installed Windows 7 on my computer and now when I insert my Product Activation Code and click on "Activate" the activation window keeps popping up saying "This game needs to connect to the Internet to activate.
