PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

Is there any chance of PMDG to manufacture the turboprop EMBRAER 120 "BRASILIA"???This aircraft did and still do a lot of sucess in airlines around the world.I´m sure with the quality of PMDG, this aircraft would make a lot of sucess selling in the virtual world!thxx!

This is the 2nd time I've experienced this situation. The first time in the original build. Now, it has happened again after upgrading SP1.The A/P is engaged and HDG mode allows you to guide the plane by setting the heading on the rotary knob. So far so good.Now, after (using the HDG knob) bringing the plane within LNAV capture range, the YELLOW part of the NAV button does not illuminate. When I push the NAV button, the button iluminates GREEN... BUT... the plane immediately makes a smooth turn to a North heading.The route is clearly defined on the EHSI... showing the next WPT and the markers for the next one thereafter and so on. Using the Auto pilot in the jet41, everything seems to be ok (IAS,HDG etc) but altitude.I set the altitude, press ALT, engage the AP but it doesn't reach the desired altitude.I think I'm missing something here.Most of the tme (but not always) the plane will only keep his current ALT.THe other point is: where can you set the VS before engaging it ?.Thank you.Loic Derrien

Hope someone can help. I just pucrhased the J41 with a new install of Windows 7, running FSX with Dx10 preview switched on. J41 ran fine, but slow. then purchased Shockwave 3D lights redux and installed on default aircraft only.Have read a lot about DX10 and was getting a lot of the problems identified so switched off DX10 preview. Now cannot get any lights to come on in the J41, regardless of whether I load the tutorial to get the J41 or select it from the FSX start-up screen. When I swicth the cabin flood light on the textures just disappear. No lights come on which I switch the batteries on etc....Reinstalled J41 from scratch. Makes no difference. Am wondering if this …

Hi guys!I've seen that the prop fix found here on AVSIM works great with the B1900D version but it doesn't work in the C version!! Anybody know the problem, or how to fix it??? I've tried to convert the prop texture file with the dxtbmp program, but nothing.Why it works on D version and not in the C???Thanks Paolo

I don't know what I am did wrong with the installation. I followed the entire process on the PMDG website but I get this error with the propellers. Interesting that nobody has complained about this.

Some reason I am having problem with spoilers. At the landing I can deploy the spoilers , but I cant retract them. What is happening? :( Thanks

Hi!I have two problems i cannot seem to solve. The first is that when i land with the PMDG J4100 and switch the condition levers to taxi, when i then apply the slightest thrust the engines burst into flames..what am I doing wrong?the second thing is that i cannot seem to be able to use the saitek yokes with the conditions levers, when i push the propeller stick(set to condition levers) to MAX it is still one percent short of announcing "flight mode", any solutions to that?

Not sure if this helps anyone, and I know much has been said about ctd's and addon software, but I had regular ctd's. I then started to eliminate software I could and since ceasing to use FSX Booster I haven't experienced and ctd's flying the same route with the JS4100.I'm sure FSX Booster did increase my frame rates and it is good software, but for some reason it's apparent to me it is the cause of CTD's with PMDG JS4100.Cheers

I was seen pilot tutorial. But still understand which one of condition is "on star locks"?A condition was "on star locks" and "unfeather"?B condition was "remove star locks" and "feather"? And "on star locks" is the same as "unfeather" ? Thank you for reponse.

I have been experiencing some issues with my Jetstream 41 when ever i do a flight into an area with custom scenery eg Andras field by aerosoft or sometimes places that are default parts of my plane begin disappearing or the scenery textures go hay ware or both. I don't know why this happens, im running 6 gigs of ram and have 80 or something GB free on my Hard Drive. This also happens if i go in to the map view and then click out of it. any suggestions.

If I recently reloaded J41 do I need to uninstall and reinstall the addtional liveries?

Hi. I was tryiing to start up the J41 from cold and dark (load default cessna, turn everything off, load jetstream) but when I start my engines keep flaming out. I have started succesfully before, and i know how to do it, so I assume this is because the sim reads that the engines have just been running and they have not colled down properly. is this the case? My hardrive went out on me, so I had to do a fresh reinstall of EVERYTHING....took 3 days. I found my exe files for the md-11 and the 747-400, but I need to renew my download link for the J41. Apparently there is no more customer support section, that is why I am posting here. What should I do?

first of all, great work on the js41!but 2 things are still buging me:- does someone know how to properly setup the saitek throtles, so you can use reverse thrust and fuel shutoff?everything works for basic flying, but i cant use reverse thrust nor shutoff (if i dont do it via mouse)ive tried seting "reduce power quickly" on the bottom button of the leaverwhich works for most aircrafts, but on the js41 it doesnt seem to do anythingive tried seting it via fsuipc, but i didnt get all too far thereif i try handling the reverse thrust with the mouse i usually blow the engines =/- is it just me, or dont the taxy lights iluminate the taxy way?when i switch on the taxy lights, i…

I have installed the Saitek Multi-Panel and the Radio Panel and in test flights with the JS-41 they seem to mainly be a bust. I have asked Saitek if they are designed only for FSX default planes (in which they work very well as far as I've tested) but haven't had a response to date which is not unusual.If anyone has had success with these (other than the partial functioning of the AutoPilot) please let us know, otherwise this should be an alert to others who fly the JS-41 most of the time ... caution if you're thinking of purchasing.

I noticed that the fuel temp gauge stays below green into the red for extreme cold no matter what. Is there a setting I'm missing during my pre-flight to get the gauge to show in the green?CaptMacDon McDaniel

Hi PMDG developersI just figured out how to start the engines on the J41, and now I fully appreciate what a fine aircraft it is. Thanks you guys. It is evident that you out a lot of time, hard work, and love into this project, and the results are one of the best (or probably THE best) FS addon avaliable. Hi ...Can anyone tell me, if the installment of the JS41 makes any changes in the Fsx.cgf configuration file ?The reason for asking is, that I have just made a new and clean installment of FsX, REX and the PMDG JS41. Looking at the props remind me more of a fast windmill than an almost invisible fast turning prop...which is the way it used to look. I am running the latest nvidia driver for my GTX 285 with AA turned off in Fsx but the trilinear filter turned on. Everything else looks nice and sharp.Any suggestions ... anyone ?Jesper
