PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

Hi PMDG-Just downloaded the aircraft last night, what a beauty!! I haven't gone indepth to it yet, but by anychance can you tell me how to re-program the F11 and F12 keys? Right now they go to the FO views, I want to make them default again, ie; locked spot and top down view.Is this possible??

Am I doing something wrong? Can't get the RMU to turn "on"; the aux nav/com on the pilot's panel works ok, but the RMU is blank (avionics master is ON).Thanks.

In the RW I guess the JS41 FMC gives some indication of (nil-wind?) flight plan duration for the purposes of fuel planning prior to takeoff. Is that correct and does our lovely PMDG model this too? So far I have only found FPL fuel and duration once airborne - which has proven to be a little late on at least one embarrassing and frustrating occasion!If this RW feature is not enabled on our simulation, would it be a legitimate request for SP2 once the NGX is out?With thanks and best wishes,David

I'm baffled by the loss of instrument data which is best explained by viewing the picture attached. I've tried everything I know (which is not much I agree) and even took advantage of *******'s Tweaking program. I first got the problem after I moved to a new Alienware with an I7- 6 core processor, 3.3, ATI 2 gb vid card 5970 and 12 gb ram. FSX runs super fast and gorgeous but I can't use JS-41 without the flying information and of course it's my favorite plane. Hi,Just bought the JS4100 along with the MD-11 and must say they are amazing.I seem to be having an issue with the FMS VNAV for the JS4100, in that its altiude doesnt correspond to the actual altitude of the aircraft (see attachment) I must be doing something wrong as it was fine for the tutorial. any ideas?Thanks in advanceChris Warner

A little while ago, a thread was posted about the FMC being difficult to work with, compared to what most of us may be used to. Hey all,I have a question about the lights in the VC. When it is night time, the annoying blue lights always stay on. What can I do to fix this. I saw this livery online, and I knew I had to paint it. I've done many other paintings before, but never on the J41. Any way, this is a working progress, so I still have some work to do underneath and all, but never the less it's almost done. I think this is Eastern Airways new livery, because I never seen it before until now, and I haven't seen anyone else repaint her for PMDG, so I hope you like it.

After studing all forum articles and other forum, articles and more, about starting the JS41 I discovered that my propellors are in feather position. Afther pressing the feather relaese button (left and right with the power leaver in feather position ) the propellors don't move to un-feather position.both hydraulic valves are open, but there is no hydrailic pressure.Question;- Is this the reason why I can't start my plane?- How can I get pressure to the hydraulic system?Hope to get an answer real soon....thanks.

My Goflight TQ-6 throttle hardware just died (after many years of service). I had used it to fly the PMDG 747 and was very happy with the unit. However, before I replace it I was wondering if anyone had experience using this throttle hardware with the new PMDG J41. I haven't purchased the aircraft yet, but I'm planning an early Christmas present to myself :)I was also looking at PFCs throttles, but those are different hardware for 4 engine jet (747) and the twin turboprop (J41), so I would have to buy two units to get the same functionality that I might be abel to get from the one goflight unit. The J41 engine sound loop has a hesitation between the end and beginning of the loop.Any ideas on how to fix the problem?Thanks, zach

Hi,While I am sure these aircraft will turn out to be the best add-ons for FSX I just wondered if I could get a demo of this add-on before purchase?My problem is that I have a growing number of add-ons that exhibit strange behaviour on my new machine Win7(64).This machine is fully up to date and shows no problems in any application other than FSX with *certain* add-ons running.I have other add-on aircraft that work perfectly, and all the original FSX aircraft work perfectly too, plus several other add-ons including the new Ideal Flight which pushes the limits of FSX, all work perfectly.So I wonder what would happen if I purchase the J41 and 747; will they work? Using guenseli's lua script (found here), I assigned the Jetstream's SPD knob to my VRinsight M Panel, but for some reason I can't explain the Jetstream 41 and eventually FS freeze as soon as I turn the knob a couple of times. Can anyone help me on this?

Hi all,I just bought the Jetstream 4100 for FSX and I cannot command the FMS to execute an HOLD. The Operations Manual says to select a waypoint and press the HOLD button to enter the hold procedure. However on my pc it seems that the HOLD button doesn't work at all. Can someone explan how to program an HOLD, step by step?Thanks a lot,Dan

Hi I am doing the tutorial on the JS4100.On page 39 when I pressed the power on for the FMS, it didn't display anything, but i could see the yellow highlight rectangle that is shown in the accompanying diagram.I hit enter and it went away, now there's just a black screen... I think for some reason the FMS display isn't finding the right font or something? I have been following the tutorial step by step so I'm fairly sure the power is available for it, (avionics master on, 28volts ground, 25.5 bat etc)Any suggestions of what to look for?Regards,andy crosby

Hi,In the .FLT file; no matter how I fill the payload list I get this result:[Payload.0]PayloadList= 353.0, 150.0,1750.0,1750.0, 0.0, 0.0I tested the baron straight away to see if I was going daft, regular FSX aircraft still respond to and create the list correctly.Something I'm not doing?Regards;Steve

Hello, Can anyone please help. I have just received the Jetstream 4100 and have attempted to follow the tutorial to the letter. However i am having one or two problems.Firstly the Ramp manager screen comes up ok when requested but it does not allow me to switch anything on or off. Secondly the EADI and EFIS screens do not illuminate. I have checked that the Avionics master switches are on. i have had several goes at running this tutorial flight but it is always the same.Please bear with me on this as it is all new to me and just joining AVSIM is an experience.Regards Richard Hoggarth

Hi! Thanks for a great product. J41 is my favorite small-to-medium prop in fsx, however Im having some troubles starting her up. I usually dont have any problems starting her up for the first time. My problem kicks in after a small stop with shutting down the engines. When I start them up again, they burn. Im thinking maybe it's the shut down procedure that I'm doing wrong. Here is what I do:- engage the ground power outside, and on the overhead- Press stop on both engines- click the two latches behind the condition levers- bring the condition levers all the way back- wait a lil bit and do whatever it is that I came here to do :)- unlatch the buttons- bring the levers bac…
