Hi allI have read the manual cover to cover and read the engine startup guides and forum posts, but am still having trouble with engine fires on the J41. I am very careful to engage the stop latches at shut down, and check prior to starting up that they are engaged (and i use the pump if not). However I seem to still randomly have engine fire issues on startup. This randomness rises to almost 100% when restarting engines (ie. if i shut down the engine and restart immediately, it usually results in a fire even with stop latches engaged).My request is therefore this: - Could someone please list for me what the conditions are that cause the engine fire logic to occur in the …

Hi all,I have pretty much mastered flying the JetStream 4100 and what an aircraft!I am having an issue where where when I set the Condition to Flight I am getting a L APR ARM & R APR ARM warning. Hi,I posted earlier, now I put my activation number in the box that comes up when im trying to fly with J4100, it being a default flight its always coming up first, now I put the right number in but it still rejects my number given to me by pmdg thru my email. Should I delete the J4100 completely and reinstall. yawn.Rick

Hi there!What is the use of the IAS speed bugs and what effect does it have during take off and landing or is it just to remember the speed (V1 -VR - V2 Vyse) that has to be flown?

You don't here much about Australian liveries and turbo prop liveries, so I though I make a fictional one. I love the colors, and I think it will look nice on this aircraft. So far this is what it looks on the paint program.

I currently use FsBuild to create flight plans, then import them into the J41 FMS via the normal FMS flight plan select screen. When I activate the plan and go the Flight Plan 1 screen instead of showing the Depart and Arrival airfields i.e. KHPN - KIAD it shows the Dep and Arr runways say 27R - 26L (just and example).How can I get the FMS to show the Airfields and not the Runways as the Dept and Arr points. I don't want to enter the flight plans waypoint to waypoint via the FMS, I prefer to use FsBuild and importGlen

Hi there....New J41 owner here....The engines were up and running at some point, but I accidentally cut off the fuel (itchy mouse). Now, when I turn the START MASTER to LEFT GND and press LEFT ENGINE START, there are 2 very short clicks, the START light comes on then goes off.Obviously missing a step.Here's a pic:Thanks!Mark

In the documentation it is stated that the J41 will burn about 1200 lbs of fuel in the first hour of flight and the 1000 lbs per hour thereafter. My J41 seems to burn a good deal more than that. I'll burn around 1300 lbs per hour in cruise and more during climb. I'm curious if I'm setting the torque too high. How is power set anyway. Are you looking for a certain speed or a certain fuel flow. I've noticed that if I set the fuel flow to around 500 per side I only get about 250 kts TAS. If I set power to get around 300 kts TAS I burn much more fuel. Any insight would be appreciated...

Hey there.Don't know if this will help anyone, but anyway. I've been battling with trying to get my rudder pedals to work with the JS4100, while using FSUIPC. They would move slightly but then return to neutral position unless you moved the pedals repeatedly. One hint! TURN ON THE FLIPPING ENGINES! :( What a dumb &@($*!

Hello everyone!Since school is out, I am in the process of re-learning/mastering all of the PMDG aircraft for FSX. I was flying the J41 last night, and everything went swell until after landing. Here is what went down - I was on final to 01R at KLAS. I followed the procedures in the Flight Operations Manual. The condition levers were at flight, spoilers were armed, and flaps were set to 25. I set her down at a comfortable rate and pulled the throttle/torque levers into beta range to slow the aircraft. Spoilers deployed as normal. Once I got to 60 knots, I pressed F1 to set the torque back to its lowest setting and applied manual braking to slow the aircraft further…

The success of the upload B1900D prompted me to go ahead and paint their C version too, based on their real world registration number N575Q as shown below. This is the first few stripes added to the B1900C so far, and I should be able to release her next week.
