Just thought I would drop a quick note to say I have solved the white flashing images in the JS4100 VC cockpit. that some users have reported, in my setup anyway.I have been using NHANCER with the 182 NVIDIA drivers as this gave me the best image within Flight Sim as well as good performance. Later drivers caused me various problems. With the announcement of NVIDIA Inspector being available I changed to the latest NVIDIA Drivers and set up Inspector as advised by Nick Needham.I now have ice effects and VC rain in the JS4100 and no artifacts/flashing white images. I also have the benefit of NVIDIAs latest drivers.I use Win 7 64 bit, FSX and 260GTX graphics card.Hope this he…

Hi,I want to enter the following route into the FMS: SCIR SNO SCVM. The problem is that the departure airport doesn't exist in the database. So while sitting at SCIR I want to enter a DIRECT TO from present position (SCIR) to SNO. But I cannot find any instruction how to do that.Best regardsWolfgang

Hello, I purchased the j41 today and after several hours I cannot figure out why the airplane will not power on. The default flight(trike) is set per the manual in the free flight menu. I then select the J41 and push free flight. The engines are running but no electricity to the airplane. I also tried to load the j41 tutorial flight, still have no power to the airplane. The battery voltage reads zero. I know it is something I am doing wrong but I give up and need a little help here. Thanks.Win xp ProAMD PHenom II 555 oc'd to 3.7 Radeon 9800 GT Jeff Linvillebtw, this is on a fresh install of FSX sp.2

Hi,my name is Lucass and I've just start fly Js41 ;)..but I have few questions about this machine:1. When I switch STROBE LIGHTS on, strobe lights on wing tips aren't visible.2. When the CONDITION LEVERS are in the "FLIGHT" condition, intensivity of engines sound increase ..and it is normal. But when I move Power LEVER forward or backward, sound intensivity doesn't change.. is it normal?(I think - YES, because Power LEVERS set pitch of propeller blades and RPM are still the same - so.. sound intesivity doesn't change ..am I right?)3. In what conditions I should use CONDITION LEVERS in FEATHER position?4. I have poor quality of indications (especially on RMU, EIS, EHSI, E…

Hi,First of all my compliments for what seems to be a fantastic product! Well done indeed. Here's my issue. To enjoy looking at this wonderfully simulated VC I'm using TRack IR.I noticed that the captain's and co-pilot's viewpoints are too close to the gauges. I'd like to sit a few inches backwards. The J41 seems to be the only plane in FSX where I don't sit just quite well. Cycling via the "A" key doesnot provide a good position for me.In FS9 I used to be able to change the eyepoint backwards/upwards/downwards by using key combinations. The difference with FSX is that TrackIR will always overrule this and default back to the initial position of the eyepoint.Any ideas what …

I have read the paint tutorial in the general forum.(Great work Dan, Thank you!) But I am having trouble with the J41 when using the template it says paint the left side then when satisfied duplicate and flip and paste in right side. I can't seem to get what I am supposed to duplicate and flip. Nothing I am doing is working. Help please.

After following the checklist I am still getting a red warning light/beep on takeoff and the "config" light is the only thing lit on the panel. The instant the wheels leave the ground the lights go off. Obviously I am missing something but at this point don't have a clue. If anyone else has been through this and can help it will be greatly appreciated. In the meantime I will go through the checklist again CAREFULLY.

Simply cannot find a cruise performance chart. Some questions:At full weight can I climb direct to a flight level above FL200?I understand FL250 is max FL, is it attainable easily? Dependent on temp or weight?I'm looking at a long cruise >3 hours, so looking at using a high FL.Thanks

I thought I had engine start procedures down pat....... Cranked both up for weeks without a fire. Yesterday #1 starter seemed to be engaged longer than normal so I stopped the procedure and checked outside. Props were feathered on both engines and I KNOW they were unfeathered properly. Relaunched a new flight, unfeathered the props, checked outside to make sure they were in start position. Same problem trying to start #1. Shut it down and checked outside. Both props in full feather.Anyone have an explanation for this?ThanksNeal H

Hey There, quick question.... I have been following proper engine procedures (RPM 98%, EGT Below limit) during climb, but I am noticing a very low climb rate. I usually stop my takeoff acceleration at around 170kts and climb at that speed until around 20,000ft. My climb rate slows to around 500ft/min at around 13000ft. Should I be accelerating to a higher climb speed or is this low climb rate normal? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. ThanksKen ConnorsForgot to mention that my climb rate only gets lower as I climb higher. Thanks againKen Connors

With the JS4100 coming soon, I wanted to take a couple of minutes and prepare you for one of the lessons you will learn. The geared turboprop may be new to some of you, it has been for me. I want to give you a heads up about something called STOP LOCKS. These are mechanical latches on the props that hold the blade in flat pitch and they are required because: 1) Loss of oil pressure in the prop dome causes the blades to feather (this means they align with the airflow and present minimum drag desired if engine is out). 2) The electric starter/generator does not have enough power to spin feathered blades up to speed for start, the blades have to be in flat pitch. The reason …

Good Morning all;I recently got the Beech 1900C package and am flying it in FSX. Really like it a lot.One thing I've noticed is that it is relatively difficult to land well! Not saying there is anything wrong with it, but compared to a lot of other aircraft you've really got to manage your entry into ground effect or you'll float halfway down the runway. A little too much speed or descent rate (leading to an aggressive flare) and you could microwave a bag of popcorn by the time it touches down :)Last night I finally got a handle on it - sort of - after several attempts.Anybody else notice this?

Hello allJust getting back into FS after a lengthy illness and convalescence. When I launched my J41, I got the old not activated error message, but have no idea why. I'm sure all was well before. Can someone please point me in the direction of a thread or discussion where this dealt with, or give a reminder. As I recall, I should NOT be uninstalling and reinstalling. I just don't recall exactly what I SHOULD be doing. Thanks

  25. Howdy Guys ---- been trying to get my new CH Throttle Quadrant hooked into and working on the J41. Have tried two approaches.1. Tried a direct tie-in, as you would with any joystick or similar controller. Got things to wiggle OK but for some reason, the J41 does not see the full control swing from the CH box lever axes. Both the power and condition levers move "almost" the full range but not enough. It always takes direct mouse movement to get them to move the full range. Strange.2. I have FSUIPC4 (registered) installed and tried a hook up that way. No joy. Behavior of the controls was erratic at best and not usable. So, what say CH throttle veterans? J41 veterans? Is ther…
