You guys at PMDG can make anything happen, right? Tell me you found the way to have raindrops on the windshield in the VC of the J41. I am aware that this is an issue related to FSX but flying on a rainy day without the effect of the raindrops feels so unreal and is so frustrating. If only you could do something about it. Maybe you could find a way to have the raindrops on the windshield the minute you turn on the wipers, for example. That would certainly be good enough for me and would definately help this product reach yet a higher level regarding realism. I miss those raindrops, I NEEEEEEED those raindrops. You guys are the best and I

Maybe someone knows the right operating procedure on the following topics:1. In icing conditions, the EGT is really a limiting factor and climbing out of the icing condition might be an option. So is it allowed to increase RPM to 99 or 99.5% to have more reserve on EGT and use the extra power to climb 2 or 4000 higher to get into colder air?2. For the descent: Often a 3

I guess my brain is too old to understand the manual. Does the VNAV function actually work in the JS41? I understand there's no auto-throttle but will the plane change altitudes on it's own or does the FMS just "indicate" where/when it should be done?Thanx :)

Folks about 2 weeks ago i stumbled across your site accidently whilst posting in the Radar Conatct site and of course i found all these posts about this beautiful aircraft. I have not long returned after giving it all away when FSX first came out, now i am only flying the flight1 Cessna Mustang and i wanted another aircraft to replace and fly the same routes i flew in a MAAM DC 3 and i think i have found the perfect aircraft in your JS4100. I have printed manuals and tutorials that you have on your site, but my dilema is simply i dont have the net until january or February 2010, now am i able to go to the mall and download the aircraft and then activate it somehow, or may…

Gentleman,Have seen your latest creation with the release of the J41 and love what it represents. However, having scoured the forums for an FSX version of the B1900 and only see mention of an FS9 portover, even supported by PMDG. Is there not a plan to make an FSX version of the B1900C or D? Please tell me it's in the works and I can wait. Thanks for great products.Matt

Hi PMDG, Thanks for a bird that is really fun! I actually have to think like a pilot as I was trained. Rule of 3/rule of 5, etc. I realize this may be too costly but perhaps one of our members (I don't have the skills) could offer a hard-copy of the weight/speed charts? Anyway, this one proves your coding skills and I spent 20+ writing and integrating software. WELL DONE!!! Jack Sciutti :(

Hi,I was wondering if someone could explain the checklist "to the line" : Battery Power only.Must this checklist be completed when :1) only on battery power2) and not on GPU ?3) certainly not with engines running ?Because with aricraft preparation checklist you power up with GPU - so that is not battery power only. In that case I canjust skip the part ?Seems a few important items on that part of the checklist tho...Please advise

Previously I was able to start from Cold and Dark and work my way successfully through the procedures. Now my JS41 starts with the engines running at the end of the runway. I went through the Tutorial again, deliberately crashed, exited from a partial flight, shut the engines down normally ... but I still can't get my "Cold and Dark" back. Surely this must be something simple I'm overlooking??

Gentlemen, Well, I finally got from KRIC-KCLT and screwed up the VFR landing! I did have a fuel imbalance that I missed; is this normal? I think it became apparent after loading a saved fligh at FL160. The manual is a bit vague on Xfeed but I gather the pumps are on and the xfeed valve open or is only the pump on that will feed the engines until they are in balance? Thanks in advance.Jack Sciuttiformer 52 driver( now that sucker had some xfeed valves!)

I just got a set of Saitek's yoke and quadrant and am slowly programming them through FSUIPC. I have an oddity and don't know if it's through my programming or the way the axis is done. When I set the levers I have mapped to "propeller axis" to 100%, the condition levers move to flight. I then move them to about 70% and get condition levers at taxi (as I'd expect). If I open up the feather switch, I can then feather the propellars by moving them back to about 25%. The oddity happens if I move them much further back (i.e. 0% where I'd expect the feather spot to actually be), the conditions levers pop back to flight.I'm still working out the bugs programming these, but was …

For anyone that hasn't experimented with sounds yet, I'll offer a tip that you may like. In the FSX sound settings, reduce the engine sound level to 15%, leave environmental and cockpit at 50%. This will allow you to hear the gradual increase in wind noise when surpassing 200kts., a really cool effect. Of course, you have the obvious advantage of hearing ATC better. Curt Branch

I've been trying to fly tutorial with different livery and it seem impossible to do so. Let me explain. I start default flight with cessna, then I load JS41 tutorial. Everything OK so far. Then I try to change to different livery and here's where the problem start. It's either CTD or I hear constant engine sound but the engines are not running. Then I press battery, GPU, avionics, and finally fuel pump swithes. At this point both engines start immediately. Why does it happen?Greg Furmanski

I've noticed that if I program a flightplan in the JS41 FMS, save it, then power off (for engine start), the saved flightplan does not come up with the others when I turn the FMS back on after start. If I shut down FSX, and load the plane again, the FP is there. I think the FMS needs to force a refresh of the FP list anytime it's powered on or a FP is saved.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

Gentlemen,I am new to this very nice bird and I need a bit of help on the correct order of activating the autopilot then FMS direct. I read the pilot's tutorial but deviated slightly and did not have the FP in the FMS when airborne.Sequence: prior to TO from IAD, FMS FP KIAD-KCLT loaded in FMS. I selected direct to the first fix while still on the ground and all seemed OK. After TO, gear and flaps up, I selected autopilot,IAS, ALT SEL, HDG (turn to 210 degrees). I then selected NAV and the FMS showed no FP?I guess the direct to must wait until I'm in the air???Thanks.Jack Sciutti
