PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

As I stated in an other thread I miss the 2D panles, too...I'm a VC lover, but for some reasons I'd like to have both options: 2D AND VC:I just can configure Mouse Macros for FSUIPC with 2D Panles... thats something that isn't working now with the J41. So I hope urgently to get the ability for key commands!!! Everybody with a few hardware devices will demand this.Second reason is, that some 2D panels are helpfull for some views or mouse klicks, like an overhead 2D.So, you can toggle to all views with the "A" key to get to a special view, but thats not handy...Here's a little guide how to set the overhead panel to a key (Joystick or keyboard, as you like)NOTE: every change…

I was wondering why my tcas dosent show other aircraft. I was flying with a friend on vatsim today and I had him fly close to me to see if my tcas was working. I had the my screen is in full map and lnav and the tcas button was on. Not sure if im in the wrong screen or if it even matters. I did a search through the manuals on tcas but only found that i need to left click the button to turn it on and that was about it. No other information on the tcas system. Hello all and thank you PMDG for the latest turboprop variant available. I have been tinkering with the J41 since my purchase about two weeks ago. I noted some of the great liveries but was hoping for a military variant, such as the one with the Hong Kong Royal Flying Service. Are there any plans to model this livery by you or anyone else? Also, anyone know how difficult it might be to install the Captain Sim weather radar in the missing panel until PMDG releases their patch with it? Matt

Hi everyoneJust (kind of) getting to grips with this stunning aircraft! I would just like some help/advice if possible please?When loading the tutorial flight or simply the aircraft I get a engine sound which then stops whilst in the load screen? Not a problem but a possible bug?Spoilers should these be visible when deployed on landing?If I try and re-load the tutorial flight or load another J41 paint I get a CTD? I have saved several flights however, if I simply 'reset' then no CTD?When landing and engage reverse thrust the aircraft slows fine then one engine catches fire! Hi Folks,Firstable thanks and congrats to PMDG Team for this wonderful bird.I have read the Pilot Tutorial several times and now I think I am able to correctly fly this bird, even hand flying which is very easy.In the tutorial, in order to correctly set the EGT needles it is two or three times mentionned a series of white hash marks on the arc on the dial.These white hash marks are not visible on my bird....Does someone discover that these white hash marks were missing on EGT displays ?Kind regardsDidier DUBREUILH

I have a problem to activate PMDG Bae Jetstream 4100, there is a window but nothing happens after inserting the code. Internet ok and I had no problem to activate MD11 in the past.Any suggestion as phone activation process option in this case would be greatly appreciatedHappy LandingsJ

Hi,I came to wonder why the J41 is not allowed to be pushed back with engines running. It is allowed to reverse under it's own power doing a powerback (Eastern does that from time to time) but is not allowed to be pushed when the engines are already running. Can't seem to figure out what's wrong...when i'm in VC and look back at the wingtips, I see the NAV lights. Hoewever...as soon as i'm going to the spotplane view, I see the nav, beacon, conspiclights for only 1 second and then they're gone :( Only thing that always seem to work are the ice obs lights.Also (maybe related) I miss the wheelblocks even though I've selected them in the rampmanager...sometimes I see them, sometimes I don't.Is there something I should check in the settings (FSX settings or videocard settings)? I run FSX in 1900x1200x32bit modus. DX10 enabled in triliniar mode. Have my FSX and nHancer configured according to Nick N's advise.

I just purchased REX 2.0 and installed it. This was after the install of the J41. I decided to use real time weather by clicking the fly now button within REX. I loaded the default flight and then loaded a saved JS41 flight. The REX weather tool came up while FSX was loading as normal, but when I loaded my saved flight and tried to load the real time weather, all of the buttons within the J41 were pretty much disabled. No click sounds, no movement, engines wouldn't turn on, FMC wouldn't turn on etc. Just thought this should be known if not already discussed. Please excuse me for opening another thread, but I just found a minor issue with the aircraft.cfg on my system...It concerns the camera definitions...There appear to be 2 named [cameradefinition.020]...Landing gear and Tail views...I have never seen the tail view yet while scrolling through the various views...Not that I had specifically missed it, I was just speeding up the panning rates on a few views for my own taste...Not a major issue, just a small typo really, but you might want to correct it for SP1... :( Andrew

Is there anyway to get a CH throttle quad to have the full range of the j41 throttles so I dont have to use the mouse to "remove start locks?" I have fiddled with FSUIPC some but cant find the right setting.Gary T.

I had to create a new plan in an external utility while I had the JS41 loaded. Is there a magic wand to have the FMS re-read the flight plan list on disk so the new or updated flight plans show up in the pick list? I powered the FMS off/on, even cut all power to the aircraft (that didn't work), but restarting the flight from scratch did the trick. It doesn't appear that the FMS scans the folder every time the pick list is called up, and I probably missed something on page 461 of the comprehensive fourth AOM tome that says "press this key dummy" :)Cheers,

Guys, I'm having a serious performance issues with the JS41 in all scenery and whether situations. Comparing to MD-11 for example, the MD-11 is so less performance killer than the JS41. And the MD-11 seems to be a mutch more complex aircraft.With the JS41 I usually get 8-15 FPS, with constants glitches and stutters.I know, it's a whole new approach to simulation, and also isn't that easy to simulate a turboprop aircraft, and so on. But my machine is not that bad, and I barely can fly with this baby.Finally I have to say, fly this baby it's a new experience to the Flight Simulator X, the sensation of "being there" it is so amazing. Hi,I have just purchased and tried to install the JS41 but the installer is not able to recognise my FS version. It produces a dialogue box suggesting the following problem:FSX version 10.0.61355.0 (SP1 at least)required. You only have Version 10.0.61311.0 installed. Please install FSX SP1 or later to use this product.It also states at the top of the dialoque box that the installer is for 'PMDG MD-11 for FSXI have FSX, SP1 and Acceleration installed. Hi Guys - Iv just bought the J41, and before i fly, im reading through the docs.In the installation folder, there is a .pdf called Pilot Intro and Overview. Im reading page 11, about VC head latency.Can someone please let me know what that is? Is that the effect when the plane accelerates, the VC moves away, and comes closer when slowing down?

I bought the JS4100 yesterday and am installing repaints today. On the PMDG_BAe_JS4100_3M repaint I believe there is an error in the installer path. When I install it it tells me it cannot find the aircraft CFG. I checked the path of it and it is missing the slash between Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Sim Objects. The other repaints that I have tried as of now do not have this issue. The installation path that I select on my end was correct but the installer path is not. Is this something that has to be fixed on your end or mine?
