Hi guys!I'm new here on this forum. I already own the 737, MD-11 and 747x of PMDG and today bought the JS4100. The problem comes when i'm trying to install the JS4100. Installshield prepares the setup and then it just stops without any notification. Same for the liveries of the JS4100. I haven't experienced this with the other PMDG products so thats the reason i'm posting here. I sooo want to take the JS4100 for a ride!:-)System specs.AMD X2 6000+, 4GB RAM, Geforce GTS 250, Vista Ultimate 64bit. I hope you guys can help me getting this piece of software to run! Once again, other programs of PMDG run flawless on my system.Thank you and appreciate your help!Robin Wels

I did the tutorial yesterday and taxied to the gate. Conditionlevers in taxi position of course. Had the powerlevers on idle, but the plane kept on moving without any hint of slowing down.Should I pull the powerlevers even further back (into the reverse) or did I forget something?

There seems to be several guys who have the same problem then i had, after installation and first fsx start no activation window appeared. After several hours and4 times full fsx installation, i was able to locate and fix the problem.1. Some parts of the VC++2008 (Microsoft.VC90.CRT) redistributable were not properly installed. I think thats not an fsx but an pmdg or license service issue.-To figure out, if everything is ok with this, open eventlogviewer->System events.-Start FSX-Delete (and backup) all existing events in the system eventlog (not necessary, but makes things easier to find)-Select the BAE JS41 from free flight and wait until is loaded.-have a look at eve…

This J41 is my first ever payware plane and I love it. Beautiful to look at and fly. Handles great.Took a day to figure out the engine start, now I can do it quickly.I have no probs with a cold-dark saved flight - it loads up ok every time, but I first load up a default c&d FSX flight then load up my c&d J41 saved flight. I don't need to shut down any things after loading either saved flight.I have the ADF tuning bug - can only tune first & last numbers.Framerates dropped from about 50 to 30. Outside view fps jumps up again.All-in-all still a good buy.

I keep reading about people having various system failures with JS41, don't this if this is 'pilot error' or programmed failures. Are there any random failues built in to the JS41 like there are in the RFP742 or does it depend solely on the FSX Failure settings.Glen

I've had this happen to me repeatedly...the engine starts normally (without overtemp) and about the time the starter disengages the engine shuts completely down. It's driving me nuts. The engines are on the stops...put there manually with the pumps and visually verified before pressing the start switch.Any ideas??RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

We've just uploaded a short video of the PMDG J41 Turboprop to YouTube! This is just a quick glimpse at the airplane, and a demonstration of an engine start.I was in a rush, so no bum rushing me about not sticking to my checklists! (I'm just a lowly modeller :()So hit , click the HD and full screen icons, sit back, and enjoy!

Hello Guys,First of all, what an outstanding product is this!I really enjoy flying it!Second, last flight I noticed that when I do the after landing checklist and activate the gustlock, the rudder also doesn't work anymore. Can you confirm this is as it should be? It confused me because the after landing (expanded)checklist states that the FO activates the gustlock during his flow. Cheers,Jacir

HiOn most twins I have due to a lack of two spare axis, two toggle switches for the condition levers which are programmed through FSUIPC and use the FSUIPC control of switch 1 up = prop1 increase, and switch 1 down = prop 1 decrease, this works correctly for all my aircraft, default and payware including the Jetstream, but when it comes to toggle switch 2 the FSUIPC control of switch 2 up = prop2 increase actually moves the condition lever for engine 1, although the control of switch 2 down = prop2 decrease does work and moves the condition lever for engine 2 back.Is this an animation coding problem, as the problem does not present itself if I use separate axis controls (…

Hello,Please give me some advise about cruising conditions of this aircraft:Route SECO - SEQU at FL190, TAT 1, torque about 40, RPM 98%, EGT near limit!all anti ice on and my IAS is about 140 and decreaseing dangerously to stall. What I'm doing wrong? Is this normal for that TAT?I've done a couple of flights with similar conditions and I find very anemic performance. Please help, thanks.Alex

(for JetStream 4100)Hi,i dont know how you guys doing it, but I made me a worksheet for flighttime-, fuelplannig and I want to share it now.It its good enough to take not to much unneceserry fuel with you.I

Stupid question (Probably)....The tutorial says you should depress the go around button on the throttle before take off, it then goes on to talk about manually advancing the throttles to achieve 100% torque during the take off roll. So my question is, what does go around actually achieve? Normally go around would be associated with achieving take off power with the auto throttle engaged, but on this aircraft there is no auto throttle.....

I am scared to death of anything other than windows XP and FS9. Will PMDG release the BAe JS4100 for FS9? Thanks, MATT.

Hello,I`ve taken the time to put the tutorial into a video (at least a part of it so far). This is to make it more clear as the tutorial can be abit rushed.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJA0cgJd_XYTell me what you think. If the reactions are positive i`ll finish the rest of it.Regards,Replica17

WELL HELLO, first of all nice work PMDG! well i have a problem whit the new type, becaus it seam that the JS4100 dont want to work corect with my Elite throttel a problem i never have had whit your other products. If i want to use the throttel i can se it ad power but in a funny way the engine get unstabel. but i think i know what the problem is becaus if you look at the throttel leaver inside the plane it dosent move as i use my hardware. I think it gets unstabel as the eng dont know if it should use the interface from the hardware or the one in the cokpit. so the thing i mean whit unstabel is the eng moves from 80% to 30% then to 80% and so on. Hope it can be fixed. hav…

While I haven't downloaded the JS41 yet (still waiting for my prize license from vZBW's Boston Tea Party), I was browsing available liveries. Is there a chance someone might be able to paint the Trans States/Delta hybrid or the TWExpress (newest colors before buy-out) colors?I'd love to be able to fly this plane in those schemes. Thanks!

Just finished the tutorial for the first (didn't blow up the engines on the trip!), but I found myself having problems with the approach. For some reason, I coulnd't get APR to work. Only when I turned off the A/P alltogether did it turn on. I know it's a a hard question to answer when hardly any details are supplied on this particular situation, but is there any reason for APR not to turn on when A/P is on?

HiWhat is the normal Altitude/FL used by Airlines operating the JS41. Also the manual gives a guide to fuel usage per hour but is there any reasonably accurate way to work our how long a flight will take, at the moment I am just using a rough guess.Glen
