PMDG Turboprops (Legacy Versions)

Hello,my problem is returned with black screen after 1 hour of flight with js-4100 in detailed airport.No CTD but black screen in fsx after press alt button for menu bar.I have resolved with PMDG MD-11 to reduce level of detail range to medium because I have seen in other forum for the problem in polygon count.Now i have to reduce to level to min? :( Win Vista 32bitFsx Sp2Proc.E8400GtX 260Ram 4GBCristiano

After seeing this How easy is it to get working like the above?Does it come with a fps hit?Does it make the PMDG Buttons around it work(would not think so but...)?How good is it.It seems to add the finishing touch to this amazing VC.

Hi Folks!Just did a short flight through Germany. While beeing in the descend I wanted to make good some time und speeded up a little bit. I flew with online weather - but I had no gusts or turbulences. And during a moment without attention the the airspeed i went up to 252-254 KIAS. As soon as I heard the overspeed clicker I pulled the throttles back but after 4-5 Seconds in the overspeed area the Sim told me I crashed the a/c due to the structural limits (sorry, german version - so i do not know what it is called in the english version). Hello,I've read the intro and tutorial and I am now perusing the manual. One thing I haven't seen mention of is how turnarounds are done at remote stations which may not have a GPU. I remember that the ATR had a mode where one of the engines was used as a GPU (the propellers had a "brake" on them) so that the ATR could continue to run at a remote station. Is this something that the J41 can do or does the direct-drive nature of the Garretts prohibit this? Or, do you just have to make sure you don't run the battery down? Would the J41s get stuck at remote stations?I'm still searching for this answer in the manual, but perhaps someone knows a thing or two on the matter.…

Hey,at engines shut down with powerlevers pulled back at rpm <50% to full reverse by moving the powerlevers in the VC the startlock engages and the Props remain in fine pitch ! Thats all ok!but now after a new enginestart and conditionlever in flightposition i get only 35% torque with powerlevers full forwards!if i shut down engines now with powerlevers on idle (not reverse) then the props remain in finepitch regardless(should go in featherposition)i have to load the JS4100 from the aircraftmenue new to get things working engineshutdown with props feathered and thereafter enginestart with unfeatherpump works fineany ideasregards J

BAE J41 FIRST FLIGHTOK GUYS HERE ARE SOME SHOTS OF A NEARLY SUCCSEFUL FLIGHT!! I DID ONE FLIGHT PREVIOUS AND LANDED IT, SO THIS REALY WAS MY SECOND FLIGHT, I WANTED TO MAKE SURE IT WASNT A FLUKE!!! Hi, does anyone use the Open Cockpits MCP/EFIS with the JS4100?I would appreciate if I could get a working, or at least somewhat... working SIOC config.Would be nice to be able to use my hardware with this nice bird.I don't feel for reinventing the wheel if someone allready has done it ;)Thx / Conny

I have tried several times to try and enter a HDG for the J41 to fly till it intercepts the crs to the next wpt...with no luck.Would someone enlighten me please?Thanks,Jerry

I'm asking because i'm interested with this plane. However, i'm still learning how to nagivate properly. Of cause, with GPS on board. It makes thing easier for me as a start. If it does not, then i probably have to wait till i can fly the traditional way from getting from 1 location to another. Or any other PMDG plane have onboard GPS?

Looking for help: I purchased the J41 based on both my good experience with earlier PMDG products and the great reviews here. Had a free Saturday (today) to learn this thing but so far am only frustrated - every way I try to load the J41 FSX crashes ("Fatal Error...") shortly after either clicking the "Fly Now" button or loading the Tutorial flight as directed from the sim with the default flight loaded. the sections on cruise recommend setting power according to the cruise torque chart, but i can't find it in the manual anywhere. when i search for it the only other reference to it i find is a checklist item saying to make sure i have it on board! heheis this in the documentation somewhere or is it just a reference to a real jetstream document?if the info is not available can anyone suggest some settings for cruise? should i just keep the EGT at the -50C tick even if that seems kinda slow on the TAS? in the tutorial they mention 16000 as a typical cruise altitude but i'm also curious, is that a particularly efficient altitude for some reason or just because climbing is pr…

I bought the J41 on the 4th when it was released installed and activated the product.Tonight I load up FSX and it asks for the activation code again.I put in the code and it says now I have a un-licensed product and most of the fetures will not work.My question is what the is going one here with this aircraft?What do I have to do for this to work? The other day I was flying the freeking JS41 on a fspassengers flight and I over speed the thing and it broke up in midair killing my virtual self and all of my virtual passengers. I blame PMDG for the accident because they made such an awesome aircraft tha I was too busy admiring the darn thing from spot and the different aircraft views that I was not paying attention to my airspeed. Just joking :( I just want to say great work guys and keep it up.Travis

Guys what can i say but well done!! This aircraft flys and handles excellent, now iv learnt how to start her, i did my first completed flight, landed her manualy, i cnt believe the slightest bit of wind and shes off i love it, if youve done this well with the J41, things can only get better with the Dash 8, and guys if you think this was hard to start i can only imagine howw hard the dash 8 will be to start!! I downloaded the SA Airlink livery and ran the file but how do i get it to show up on the J41 ?

When I make a flightplan with FSC and save it, it will not go in the FMS flight plan list. I also restart the FMS with the ON button (3 sec. push). Nothing happens. Only when I restart FSX, after that the flightplan is in the list and OK. Is there a shorter way so that I do not have to restart FSX?Errol

HiI'm trying to follow the tutorial flight on the J41 and all works ok until I should set up the FMS. When I try to press the ON key on the FMS, the screen just remains blank. This is the case for the both VC and popup 2d versions. Any ideas why the FMS isn't turning on?//Olli

Hi,Can anyone clarify whether there is any available way of purchasing and installing the J41, where the FS PC does not have an internet connection ?I own all PMDG products to date, but have just moved house, and am using a new broadband supplier - I have no issues with our main domestic PC connecting to the internet but have had 4 days of strife trying to get my FS PC connected to the internet, without success. (In my previous home, my FS PC used a USB modem - that's no longer an option and I have a complex issue with my ethernet adaptor on the FS PC)....... to cut a long story short, I have no LAN connectivity on the FS PC and will not have until I reinstall Windows, w…
