Just wondering if you can use super flight planner for FMC in the JS41. Or is there a freeware flight planner out there that will work? Seems like FSnavigator is not available for FSX and I did not want to spend money for FS build. Also when you build a flight plan manually with the fmc , and you pick your departing airport and your arrival airport. How do you generate the waypoint in between? In the tutorial they entered in V39 , and then it seemed to fill in the waypoints. I did not understand this part. Thanks for help,Perry Messina

At the outset I would just like to congratulate PMDG on the JS 41 which is a hugely enjoyable aircraft to fly and a great addition to any flight sim enthusiasts hanger.However, I am encountering the following problem.When the aircraft is first loaded up the propellers appear in the unfeathered position. This is nice and handy. Then, after having completed cockpit preparation and pre start checks, the propellers will have invariably returned to a feathered position. Obviously this will inhibit engine start up so I attempt to unfeather the propellers by pulling the power levers into full reverse position and flicking the unfeather switch in both the left and right directio…

Does the new PMDG J41 work with ASA or does it suffer the same problems as the MD-11 in ASA?Thanks!

Hello!I remember you announcing the PMDG Dash 8 for FSX, and you said you probably would show us something a week after the realese of the J41.And you still haven't said anything :(Is the Dash 8 in development, and do you have any new info about, like for example if we are going to get a Q100, Q200 etc..?Thank you,Morten Bilet

I have gone through the tutorial and the FMS section of the AOM anf have attempted to save the flight plan but cannot. Nor in either are there directions to do so. It would appear self-explanatory in the tutorial but for the life of me I cannot get the cursor to get down to that bottom line to save the plan. So far I am highly impressed with the complexities of the aircraft. As with all PMDG products I know the bugs will be ironed out and another superior product will be flying the flightsim skies.

SO i turned on DX10 Mode for FSX and I'm getting about 20% more FPS, but there seems to be a lack of AA. I have it checked on in NHancer but its seems to have no effect. Whats the problem, my GPU, NHancer FSX, is this a know problem?? Thanks Guy.

When displaying the LNAV route on the J41's EHSI, how do you change the range shown on the map (it looks as if the default is 50 miles)? I know that this is probably in the Manual somewhere but I haven't been able to find it :( . ThanksCharlie Felix - KSBP

I hade activation problems for the js41, the activation window never show up. I re-installed both fsx and js41 withoutresult. I found on a forum suggesten for the problems, i downloaded this fix from microsoft and installed it: http://www.microsoft.com/DOWNLOADS/details...;displaylang=enand re-installed js41 and loaded in free flight and the activate window show up:) So now can i fly the airplane, and everything worksfine, before i hade black gauges and a lot of otherthings, because i could not activate the js41So everyone with simular problem, try to download this and install then install js41 and the activation window willshow up...

i bought the j41 and install it, but theactivate window never shows up, so the gauges are black and other problems.I mailed pmdg support, and they toold me to open port 8888 in the firewall or the antivirus program and i opend a port in thenetgear router but i dont still get any activate window. So canany one help me out, i want to fly this airplane, the activate window dontshow up when i load the plane in fsx. i bought it and then i want it to work, i dontwant to spend money on something that dont work..I use windows vista 32 bit and nod32 and i wireless netgear router

The FMS and HSI both show the distance to the next waypoint. How can I determine the distance to a more distant waypoint, such as the fourth or fifth waypoint? Is there a way to pull this up in the FMS?Curt

Last night I was able to start the plane from cold and dark, program the FMC and take off without the config alarm blaring - all while talking to my girlfriend on the phone. And no call from the head pilot asking about the invoices for two new engines.

After two hours flight, I tried to land two times to CYBC ILS Rwy10. All went perfect until I disconnected A/P at 500Ft . Elevators wasn't responding immediately to my inputs. . Best way to describe elevators were not responding according my pull/push of the yoke on time. When it responded, it was either fully up or down. I hardly avoided the crash. I always checked the trims after disconnecting the A/P. Today they were free and OK, no pressure on the yoke. It gave me the impression elevator controls was partially still with A/P command.It was not normal. During second approach, I closely monitor CH yoke and JS-41 yokes if they were making parallel travel. Yes the…

Overall seems like a good product. I'm finding using a complex panel like the JS41 from a VC only is a bit of a bother -- requires quite a bit of zoom in/out and pan. so I would like to reduce the amount of mouse clicking I have to do by setting keyboard/controller buttons. Hello,I have spent more then 25 hours now, and to be specific more then 10 hours sitting behind the PC and try to actually start the engines.I have read the manuals, followed the tutorial, watched and followed the YouTube video about starting and shut down the JS41 engines, watched and followed the tutorial video, loaded a flight with the JS42 with running engines....shut them down properly (like is written in the manuals and video)after cooling down the EGT started the JS42 properly..... but nothing seem to help.It actually started once.....that was after that i started up FSX with a default Cessna and then loaded the JS41 Tutorial flight.After that i followed this proce…

I realize this is an FSX issue, but replay stutters seem to be more significant with the J41 for me. Everything runs fine during the flight, it's just watching the landing replay from external views where it stutters a lot. Anyone have a solution for this?Curt
