With ASE set to give maximum ground visibility of 15 miles and upper visibility of 100 miles plus, ASE appears to add a haze layer which looks as if it is 3,000 ft thick i.e. from ground level up to 3,000 ft altitude. If you only have FSX default scenery any mountains having peaks just above this altitude then have green peaks showing above this layer. Those flying around Scotland will know exactly what I mean (one advantage - it shows clearly where each 'Munro' is situated!).Is there any way I can lift the top of this 'haze layer'? I would like to increase the realism and remove the green peaks. I realise that purchasing photographic or enhanced scenery will remove the g…

HelloI've recently bought the PMDG 737NG and I love the aircraft. I can't believe I've waited so long to buy it.I wonder if some kind soul could answer a couple of questions. These relate to differences I've noticed from the standard B737 in FS2004. Please, please keep this non-technical: I am new to this.1) When I intercept the ILS (both localiser and glideslope), I notice that the APP light goes out. Is that normal? I can see that G/S and LOC appear on the flight displays. Again, this is different from the standard 737 where the APP light remains on until you de-select it. I've been having problems with my PMDG 737's so today I decided to uninstall all of my PMDG products and re-install. I used the 737 removal tool. I was able to re-install the 737-600/700 without any problems, but when I try to install the 737-800/900 add-on, it tells me that I have to install the 600/700 first. Well, I did. I'm able to open FS9 and load up the 737-600/700 without any problems, but the install device does not recognize the install of the 600/700. I don't know what to do. I have deleted the FS9.cfg - nothing, deleted the 737-600/700 and tried the whole process over again - nothing. I had it installed on this computer before, so I'm not sure what is h…

Hi allI hope that anyone can help me; when I fly 738 and 739 (It not happen with 736 and 737) and move hat switch of my CH yoke for lateral and rear views the screen looks black and I may not look out of the cockpit. Have anyone an idea of this problem and the possible solution?Stefano

HelloFirst post here.I want to buy a PMDG B737 product to use in MSF2004. Ideally, I want to fly the 737-800. However, I can see that in order for this product to work, I must first purchase and install the B737-600/700 product. I also see that the 737 NGX is to be 'released soon'. My question is: should I wait for the latter to be released (this will be cheaper) or should I buy the first two products? Does anyone know how long before the 737 NGX is released?ThanksNick

Hi,I'm a lover of the B737NG but due to the delay of the release of the NGX and wanting keep me updated in a realistic way to pilot this plane (apart the hours spent with the always good PMDG B737 for fs9) I was obliged to spent my second hour into that B737-800 "fixed base simulator" in Milan...(what a pity...). Hi,I'm a cockpit builder and I'm using actually the 737NG over FS9.Actually, my project is stopped due to an important reason:I need to program SIOC code of AUTOBRAKE switch, but I have a problem with 737 PMDG offsets. Standard FS offset $2F80 does not works.I tried the AUTOBRAKE offset $62AA found at various websites, but it didn't work. Hi Is an ILS approach more time consuming compared to a visual approach without using ILS? I believe an ILS approach is a more comfortable approach for passengers. Do ATCs appreciate visual approach when possible? Can pilots in command request ILS approach when needed... when practicing with a second piltot? gura75

How come 10 000 ft seems so "magical". Fasten seatbelt sign comes off when passing 10 000 ft. You can switch on your electronic equipment like laptop, cd player etc. You can even startsurfing internet when crossing 10 000 ft. The same thing happens when descending and crossing 10 000 ft. You fasten your seatbelt, you turn off your electrical equipment. How come it is 10 000 ft.I presume the T/D starts much earlier. How come we do not fasten our seatbelt at T/D? gura75

Hi guys, after a long time I managed it to get my hands down on the good old PMDG 737-600. But I have a little thing I can´t recall corectly. Whan I deploy the flaps some reference markings come into sight on the speedtape with the flap setting. I don´t know when I have to deploy the flap. For exapmle when the "clear" marking is on 201 KTS and the "1" marking is at 183 KTS, when do I have to deploy the flaps then? After passing the "clear" marking or after "1"? Btw. great little plane. Thus of it´s age, it´s wonderful to fly.

Hi:This is not a huge hassle, but I thought I'd post to see if there was a work around.I am using the PMDG 737 with CP Flight MCP and instrumentation.When I twirl the heading bug on the MCP, the heading indicator bug on the 737 2D panel is very slow to catch up. If I spin the knob too fast it seems to confuse the panel heading bug.The only way I can make large changes in direction with the heading bug is to turn the dial rather slowly.Any ideas how to solve this issue??Thank you, Iain

Hi allI'm trying to install a livery I downloaded from AVSIM for the 737-700 with winglets and despite my best efforts, I am just not seeing this livery in the FS9 menu for aircraft selection. Below is a copy of my aircraft.cfg file for this aircraft. If someone could come up with a fix, I'd be grateful. I've highlighted the relevant entry in red. The folder is saved as "texture.raaf" in the B737-700 winglets folder. Hi GuysSorry if this seems to be a stupid question... I have been watching some videos and noticed that during the approach, the captain keeps his hands on the throttles before the autopilot is disconnected. Is it normal to manually operate the throttle with the autopilot engaged? When is the A/THR usually disconnected?Thanks!!!!

The PMDG 737 For fs2004 does work in FSX.....this is how to do itCreate a folder in C: drive - Name it fs2004Install the pmdg 737 into this folder. Once installed into the folder you created there will be Sound, gauges, Modules, Aircaft etc etc........Move to the correct folders within FSX. DO NOT move the FSUIPC file...Instead make sure you have FSUIPC.4 installed into the modules folder.That it Enjoy :)

Im runing 2004 and have used pmdg 737 800 900 sucessfuly (acording to the box i need to have 737 600 700 for the former to work i dont but 800 900 works )so a week ago i was looking around aerosoft and spyed 737 600 700 NG umm so i got it installed it yesterday flyed it (Frigin awesome looks cool sounds better )but needed to do a online flight keep my hours up went with the 900 AGHHHHH loaded up no displays pfds blank no overhead so i guess 737 6 7 NG is not comp with 737 8 9 ? now ive done 2 flights in 6 7 NG that puppys goin nowere so my q is is the 737 800 900 for purches on the pmdg site NG ie comatabil with 737 600 700 NG im irish maby im thick im a bit unsure …
