Any tweak I can do to the panel.cfg file for the Front Right View (Pilot seat looking out copilot window) When I select that view can't see above the front panel. Thanks

When ATC gives you the arrival runway, this is selected in the FMC; the STARS available being listed on the LH side of the screen. How does one know which STAR to select. Last night, for example, I was coming from Reno to San Francisco and was given runway 28L. I selected the STAR oppose 28L in the FMC (on the presumption that since both were in position 1, they were related) only to find that my course was to pass Oakland (parallel with SFO, fly 90 miles to the South, turn and fly 90 miles back to pick up the ILS. Hi, I am tring to set my AES Remote to work on my network PC however I can not get it to work. I believe I am putting the right IP address in the right area. However I am not sure if it is even the right one. I am using a wireless router and the IP format is not the same as a regular IP. I have even turned off my firewall and anti-virus. Still no dice can anyone assist?

A few screens of the 737NG running smooth on the wifes Dell Inspiron Mini Netbook. Only doing this till I get a new rig as I had an accident with a can of beer and my old system lol.

I am thnking of purchasing the 747 for FS2004. If I fli from London to Hong Kong, can I once I have reached cruising altitude 'move the aircraft on the map' to about a hour from HK. If so, will the FMC still be working and accurate and will the fuel level be depleted.

When flying the 737-700 many times I will get a warning from the traffic alert and a red target on my dosplay but no warning from RC and when going to spot view can't see any AC near me. I have tcas set to FSUIPC in options. Should I set it to FS 2004? Thanks for any help.Brad

Is it possible to have the fuel cutoff switches set to off by default at startup (all my a/c start cold & dark: not 100% realistic perhaps but that's how I like it)? Not a big deal really, but I am used (in other a/c) to switching to 'Run' only after initiating the engine starters and spooling reaches the required level. In saved flights (*.flt) I tried changing any MixtureLeverPct=1 entries to MixtureLeverPct=0, but that made no difference. Can't see what to change in the aircraft.cfg file either. Hi all.New forum member here. From Auckland New Zealand. Love fsx. Going to buy a flight deck solutions 737ng next year for my home simulator. Will have 3 projector/curved screen setup with dedicated server for fsx/graphics addons etc and a couple pc's to run the cockpit/visual bits. Cant wait. Im hoping I can get the new ngx from pmdg for it. :) I was wondering how close the ngx will be to a LEVEL D simulator cockpit? Im relatively new to the whole in home cockpit/simulator market so Im not sure what exactly I can achieve when it comes to realism with an FDS cockpit. Im not getting a motion setup(dont have the room) so I know it wont be level d, but I want it as close as…

When I am lined up on approach to land with landing gear DOWN and in the process of deploying flaps, my landing gear is sometimes RAISED! I always get a "landing gear" warning so I have never landed gear up. :( I am still trying to diagnose the problem. I presume I am not the only person to have been puzzled by the procedure for inserting an intermediate location.1. Let us suppose I have locations A,B,C and D in my legs page.2. I wish to insert location Z between B and C.In the past, I have been wring 'Z' on the scratchpad, inserting it between B and C and getting a Continuity warning which, whatever I do, never seems to go away. The answer is1. To insert Z between A and B but instead of 'writing' C on the scratchpad, press the RSK next to C (so that C appears on the scratchpad) and then to press the RSK next to the continuity box. Press the exec key and the whole thing should fall into place.

After spending a week or two getting to grips with the FMC (which was a new concept to me), at first I was torn between the MS ATC which was pulling me one way and the PMDG FMC that was pulling in the other! What I wanted was a compromise that allowed both to play their part.In the end I decided on the following which seems to work fairly well.1. I am puzzled about the range that 800/900 aircraft (as modelled by PDMG) can fly. According to the fuel load estimates, a 737/900 has a range of 5000 miles at 33000ft and 2000 miles at 37000 feet. The 737/800 seems to have an even greater range. I cannot see what payloads these estimates are for; am I correct in saying that they are for full capacity payloads?It therefore appears that the 737 is a truly transatlantic airliner - are they actually used as such?DM
