How do I calculate the center of gravity (%MAC) in order to determine the proper takeoff stabilizer trim setting on p. 1-11 in the PMDG AOM? Thank you for any assistance. -Brian Benscoter

Hi all,I cant seem to find an answer to this. Most people are reporting spd rest changing to 0/flaps, but for me after inputting all the data as per normal, i get stupid figures like-Trip/Crz Alt = 2078/FL380Spd Rest = 1153/FlapsI have uninstalled using the tool, reinstalled as admin, nothing seems to work, maybe an issue with fs9? I wanted to get some suggestions before a go about uninstalling fs9 completely!Okay to add, any form of flaps 5 - 40 speeds are okay, but as soon as you change to flaps up, speed increases to a rediculous figure as mention above.Many ThanksTristan

I set up the aircraft for flight taxi out onto the runway set power and start rolling. When i reach 80kts a notice appears at the top of my screen "PMDG Notification: CG not within tolerance aircraft unflyable" once this notice appears in a green banner i am unable to rotate.If anyone know how to rectify this problem it will be greatly appreciated.ThanksJohn

The numerals on the FMC (in 2d panel) go 123456456789 with 7 I think where the plus sign is and 8 where 0 is (so cannot enter 0) and 9 is where the negative sign is (I might have the -+ mixed up, but cannot the 0 where 0 is it comes up as 8).PMDG site support said something about widescreen display modes having an issue with the FMC.OK. Any tips?I didn't have that issue with the PMDG 737-600/700, only since I bought the 800/900.OK. Going to check it now but I am pretty sure.

I'm suddenly experiencing a problem with maintaing the key board assignments I've made for the 737/all models. Lately, on rebooting my machine, all the assignments have reverted to the default ones instead of keeping the custom ones I have made. Since I've had the 737 for quite a while now, I don't understand why this is happening. It's a pain to have to reassign everything again. I'm using the PMDG assignment applet for accomplishing this, not FSUIPC nor the FS9 assignment applet.System is XP and I do have FSUIPC (registered). This did not happen before. I would appreciate any help to correct the wiping out of my assignments.Thanks,Jim Dow

In the PMDG livery download files, there are two files for an Aloha 737-700, one straight wing and one with Winglets. After downloading both files, neither one of them contain the winglet version. Can PMDG please check this out and correct the problem.Aloha,John Floyd

Hello from me, my first post and I hope I will make good use of this forum. I was always knocked back by the PMDG 737 for FS9. But when I went on a real 737-800 the soundsseemed a lot different. I liked the default sounds but then some sound developers did there own version (I can't remember their names) and put it on AVSIM. And this did remind me of the sound of the real 737NGs.Are the PMDG team planing to created realistic sounds much like they did with the 747 queen of the sky? This would be really cool if they are? To me sound is everything and boost the simulation.

PMDG-800At CRZ going to KRNO and my main panel went bad.I turned the ALT knob on my GoFlight and got a reading.I is like all the good stuff is now behing panel plates.Then I went to the "zoomed" panel and it was ok ..so I used it.Has anyone an idea what caused it?

I am using the 737-800/900 with FS2004 but have not yet managed to get TCAS to work. I have set the PMDC styles to FS2004 and ticked/unticked the 'see all aircraft' box but whatever combination of controls I set, I do not seem to be able to pick up other traffic on the screen. What I would like to do is to see everything and not just those above or below.I should be grateful for some guidance.Jim C

One thing I have noticed with the 737/900 is that the altimeter has to be watched very closely when on approach. For example, you can be descending from 7000 to 1800 feet at, say, 1000 fpm; the object being to level out in time to intercept the localiser. It seems that a change of speed (typically from 250 to 160 knots) and/or a change of course during the descent sends the rate of descent awry andy ou find yourself descending to 2500fpm and well below the 1800 limit. I haven't yet established a cause for this but it happens too often to be written off as pilot error.I am thinking of purchasing the PMDG 747 - dioes this have any similar quirks?Jim

I am starting to use the FMC for the first time and should be glad of some assistance.Assuming I want to fly from Heathrow to Liverpool, I presume I select/create this route in MSFS in order to get to my aircraft to start of with. I have been flying PMDG 737-800 in my FS9 for a while.I believe that PMDG has done a great job. I have a problem with the takeoff performance. As I have read from the real 737-800 CFM56-7B26 manual and have used TOPCAT takeoff performance calculation tool I should be able to takeoff from LTBA Istanbul airport runway 06(runway length:2300 m.elevation:93ft. ) with no winds, QNH 1013 and 15 degree celcius temperature with maximum 75.000 kg of gross weight. Air conditioning is on and anti ice is off. THe optimum flap setting should be 5 degree flap and trim setting (actually sepends on the CG) is about 6.0. N1 is 98.1 %. Rotation speed is 151 kt. On the 737, while in the 2D mode, the sub-panels would normally appear on top of the 2D panel. Now, for some unknown reason, the sub-panels appear behind the 2D panel and I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to restore it to the other way. Doesn't occur while in the VC, only in the 2D. Any suggestions are well appreciated, and thank you.Jim Dow

When I start a flight (FS2004 BTW) with the 737/900 already running, everything works as intended. However. If I shut everything down and try to do a cold start, I cannot get the autothrottle to engage for more than a second before it turns itself off. Can someone suggest a solution, please.Dick Challis.

HiI got a strange problem. Have just reinstalled the 737 on FS 9.1, and after landing the brakes keep staying on until full stop. After full stop I can release the brakes and continue taxi. I happens both with and without using autobrakes.Anyone have expirenced this ?RegardsClaus

Potential buyer. Any problem with the 737-600/700 working with a newer screen resolution of 1600 x 900? I have been doing research and found one comment about the FMC not displaying correct FL numbers with this resolution. Wanted to know if anyone is running this resolution with no FMC problems (meaning the one I read about was isolated). Thank you for your input. -Brian Benscoter

I have been flying the 737-600 and 700. The problem I have happens with either one. When I am landing and the front wheel assembly touches the groud, it starts swinging left and right. the plane becomes almost uncontrollable. Once I get it off the runway and stop for about 30 seconds,it works fine. I am using a set of CH pedals. This happens if I have the pedals plugged in, or unplugged. Dave

when i get my fmc up the first page has 3 items with the top one reading "FMC"when I press the FMC button the next page comes up all garbled.All the print is large and overlapping other print.
