    Hi PMDG's staff, its probably not fair to ask this question... But with the mention of Microsoft releasing 'Microsoft Flight' in the future, are their any thoughts in terms of compatibility with the NGX and 'Flight?' I know that NGX is to be released soon, and prior to 2010 ending but no one knows the release date of of FLIGHT. It could be Xmas it could be late next year. But experiences tells me that Microsoft likes to release their products just prior to xmas i.e., FSX - October 17, 2006, FS9 - 29 July 2003, FS 2002 - 19 October 2001. Microsoft Flight was announced in August of this year so it just seems unlikely they may wait a year from announcing to an actual release…

    Having spent several weeks successfully flying the 737-900 using the MS flight plans, I thought it about time to have a go at the FMS. There seem to be two initial difficulties:1. Where does the source information come from. If, for example, I want to fly from Heathrow to Edinburgh, where do I find the waypoints. (The FS flight plan does not work since it only gives abbreviations and PMDG needs the full name).2. The PMDG FMS keyboard seems to have a few bugs in it. Typing 1 to 10 I get 123456123789.

    This evening I made my first flight using FMC - or, at least, as much of it as I could get to work........... The LNAV seems to be quite good and has the great benefit of extending back the centre line of the arrival runway which allows you to see when the ILS intercept will take place. However, one question remains (at least) which I have not been able to solve. When you are flying in FMC mode, how do you enter a change of course so that it can be taken into account by the FMC? D

    Hey, so since i have had the 737 i have added only the American Airlines livery to the 800 and Southwest to the 700. Recently something went wrong with my flight simulator and i had to reinstall it. Before doing this i did not remove any of my planes. Once again that did not solve my issue so i took off all my planes, re-installed fs2004 and finally got it working. Now after putting my PMDG 737-600/700 and 737-800/900 on liveries will not install for the 737-700 and 737-800. What happens is i run the installed and make sure i check fs2004, and the choose the correct directory and it installs. (I also ran it as admin since i am on vista).     Hi,had to reinstall my 737 and found that the 800/900 work fine but not the 600/700Installation as follows : 8/9 with CD - 6/7 with downloaded file ( PMDG_fs9_737-600-700_setup), then service update V1-2 to V1-3.THe 8/9 are as usual - but in the 6/7 the 2D cockpit wont show ( just a black window instead of instruments - outside look OK . . . !!) and I cannotcall neither the (O)verhead nor the (T)hrottle nor the ( R )adio buttons - they wont accept any mouse clicks . . .Any ideas ?PS : all a/c worked fine for about 4 years !!

    Hello,as i´m also looking forward to the release i was wondering whether you could add windshield rain effects. Normally they are disabled in FSX but if i use a FS9-modeled aircraft in FSX and add the line "windshield_rain_effect_available=1" in the aircraft.cfg, rain effects in the VC are visible.It´s just a suggestion or maybe a wish of mine ;) .Greetings from Germany,Robert

    Just got back into flight sims and pulled out some of my stuff I had on my old computer. Am running windows 7 64 bit on new one. When I try to install 737 the installer starts, ask me all my info, then stops and windows says it is not responding. Any Ideas. PLS.

    If, halfway through a flight, I decide to save it and exit with the intention of continuing later, I notice that when the flight is resumed all the auto pilot parameters revert to default with dire consequences for all aboard. So far as I can see, the only way of saving the situation is to pause the progranmmne as soon as it open and enter the correct course, speed etc (using f10 flight log as an aide memoire if needed).Is there a better way of suspending a flight?

    Hi,Here is a link to an incident report at Chambery, France which happened on February 7, 2010 http://avherald.com/h?article=4345e4bd&opt=0Although the aircraft involved was a B737-300 the approach can be simulated with a B-737 NG. I hope serious simmers will educate themselves with this type of approach which in itself is not very difficult but necessitate a precise reading of the chart. The report includes the AIP chart and FDR report graphs. Interesting reading anyway.Cheers

    Hello. I am using a legal version of the PMDG 737 for FS9 that I bought a couple of years ago and have loved it. I was on a recent flight, I entered everything correctly, got to cruise, left the cockpit for a few minutes. When I came back, all my legs on the RTE and LEGS page were gone, but in the PROG page, I could still see the distance to my destination, T/D distance, etc. It was the weirdest thing. Is this a bug or what?Jon

    hey guys i just purchased the 737-600/700NG from PMDG's website and it works GREAT one my computer but when i try to download liveries i have a problem, I'm currently running WIN7 64bit but i have FS9 in its own HD, the livery downloads fine but when i double click it this is wat i get:"The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an X86 or X64 version of the program, and then contact the software publisher".I tried to install it as admin (run as admin) but that didnt work either, any idea's ?Regards, Sam Saleh

  18. I saw the you tube video of the NGX and I gotta have it! I can run default aircraft in basic graphics mode and get 20 FPS so do I have a chance of running the NGX? This is worth getting a new computer for.

    My apologies if I have overlooked this information.I am trying to locate the "recall switch" mentioned in the AOM during the Before Takeoff procedures (pp. 5-8 and 5-17), Landing procedures (5-18), and One Engine Inopperative Landing procedures (6-15). I am instructed to check and clear this switch, but cannot locate it in the 700 in order to do so.Thank you for your assistance.

    This just started recently as far as I can remember. I haven't flown the 737 for a while and now the plane when in LNAV flys at an angle to the flt path of the FMC. Even when I set up for a landing just using the LOC and APP, the craft does not line up with the runway.I'm including a couple of screen shots to show the problem.Hope someone can help me here in getting this worked out.Jim Dow

    I'm flying with the 738 and trying to make a rolling takeoff from KSEA with full FMC programmed, F/D and A/T engaged and TO/GA mode. I set LNAV on the ground since this is a very common procedure. Everything works fine but the LNAV switch light should extinguish once TO/GA engaged until 400 feet AGL, as per the below Boeing 737 AOM (official document).     Center Fuel tank mininum 800-900's?Will the 737-800/900 NG fuel tank pumps run it dry or shut off when 2000 remains.I read the center tank pumps must always be submirged.So, trip fuel would always be 2000 lbs more than trip + hold + alternate + reserve to keep the center tank wet.Is this correct?
