PMDG 737 NG (Legacy Version)

  1. The FMC limits takeoff speeds to 160 kts. In the Takeoff Speeds charts from 01_TAKEOFF_PERFORMANCE_737_678900_V14.pdf there are quite a few values over 160 (e.g., 166 for B738, flap 1, 180k lbs). Is there a way to change this FMC limitation? Thanks,Stacey

I am not sure if this topic has been covered previously, I did look but to no avail, so I thought I would try this method.Does the PMDG 737NG for FS2004 simulate the difference between the fuel efficiency of the 737 with winglets or without them? If the answer is no, does anyone know if this will be simulated in the Flight Simulator X version?Derek Burns

Hi,I am not able to figure out how to use Pushback right and left turns. I assign the keyboard commands for turns.Say shift + R for right and shift + L for left but when I give the command while aircraft is under pushback it only applies brake and the plane stops. Please suggest. Ramana V Nandyal

Hello guys,There is a standard procedure for takeoff flaps when talking about the runway size? When searching into the PMDG manuals I've found only a table with the takeoff weight and speeds for each flap level, anything about the runway size. I didn't find a topic talking about it, I'm sorry if already exists. Thanks all, best regards.

Hi all, I found in the PMDG 747 you can file a flight plan in FS and import it directly to the fmc.. Can that be done for the 737? Or do you have to make a flight plan with a compatable third party program and then put it directly into the PMDG flight plans folder....??? Thanks for any info....

I first bought the CD-version of the 737-800/900 about a year ago. Today I decided to download the 737-600/700 to complete my fleet. What a disappointment: The VC isn't anywhere as good as the one of the newer versions. So I had a closer look at my 800/900 cd and found a possiblity to update the 600/700. However, there was another disappointment: When I click on update the 600/700 model, I get a message saying "insert the 600/700 cd". I haven't got a cd since I downloaded it from the pmdg website. So, I hope you can help me update my 600/700. I'm sure there is another way. Thanks for your support.

Are there any known issues with TCAS? Seems like the only time I see aircraft on it is on the ground or right after takeoff. While at cruise, I don't see surrounding aircraft on TCAS. This is quite different from other aircraft add-ons where I often see TCAS blips. I always have "Above" selected during climb, "N" during cruise, and "Below" during decent. Thanks,StaceyWinXP SP3FS9

With HDG SEL engaged, selecting LNAV will: * Engage if the airplane is within 3 NM of the LNAV course, regardless of the heading * Arm if the airplane is on intercept heading of 90 degrees or more regardless of distance from the LNAV course * Engage if the airplane is on an intercept heading of 90 degrees or less and the intercept will occur before the active waypoint * Both first & second statements are correct

Hi All,Well, despite my excessive FSX installation, huge collection of addon aircraft/scenery and my love affair with the 744, I've decided to go back to brass tacks and install FS2004 just so that I can install the 737NG series. I'm currently building a modest 737 pit (another story) and cannot wait for the NGX series to arrive. Can anyone point me in the direstion of some good training and technical books/tutorials/web pages to get me started with the 738?I found the Bill Bulfer FMC guides and the coclpit companion. They look like a must for any 737 pit. Also, I came across Mike Ray's Check Ride book. I've ordered that too, although it seems to focus on the 300. I'm also…

In Thomas Metzingers excellent 737NG tutorial it says that after entering the gross weight and flaps etc. info, pressing the lsk 1,2 and 3 keys will populate the V1 VR and V2 speeds with the FMC calculated speeds. That is not working for me, I have to do my own calculating and entry. Am I missing something ? Jerry Sterner

In "04_LIMITATIONS_73702_06DEC03.pdf", on page 4-8 under Weight Limitations, it states that the Maximum Takeoff weight for the 737-700 is 133,000 lbs. This is not correct is it? In aircraft.cfg, max_gross_weight is 153,500 lbs. Thanks,Stacey

Hi to all,I tried to find an e-mail of precissionmanuals, but the site advises to come here first. So here I am.From January 2009 till one week ago I used to fly a PMDG 737-700 which was purchased on line on the 17 of January 2009. During the last weeks I am building a 737 MIP so I took the opportunity to upgrade to a PMDG 737-900 next generation. Of course all these purchases can be proved with additional billing e-mails from precissionmanuals. Everything is ok up to now.Unfortunately because of my home cockpit's needs, my PC has to be upgraded, which means that the PC will be formatted. I have the file I downloaded several days ago for the PMDG 737-900 next generation s…

Good Day PMDG,I am in a VA named Air Berlin we have a lot of B737-800 and we are looking for a good product for FSX so we would like to Beta test your new B737 NG 'cause the most of us using the FSX and we have some trouble with the default version for microsoft. We are flying at IVAO and Vatsim so both can be tested also we are flying real routes and we ahve some GPS probs because not all nav points are in it with your FMC we could have the chance to fly it real as it gets. Otherwise we must delete the B738 from our fleet what would be very sad 'cause most of us flying with it. Also we waiting for your new 737 Projekt since you post it. Well i hope i get an answer and ha…

I have noticed that other persons have posted on their problems with livery installation, primarily with Windows Vista. My system: Windows 7 + FS9.1. AMD Turion II Dual Core 2.2 Mhz. ATI Radeon, 4GB RAM.The executable liveries from PMDG do not appear once FS9 is running. The installation occurs without any problem, and the folders and modifications to the aircraft cfg file are present and intact. The "flitsim" sequence is correct and intact for the models. Also, I have been certain to run the installations as administrator. I noticed this problem after I had installed maybe 4 liveries, and after that no other liveries would appear on FS9. Thanks for your help in advance.Jo…
