HiIs the 800/900 update supposed to change the 600/700 panel as well. when I added the 800/900 the panel changed to to the same as the 800/900 in the 600/700. I miss the other one, can you get it back? Thanks.

Dear PMDG,Maybe you mentined this elsewhere, but I would like to know if the upcoming 744 will have option to load the 2d Panel only with 2d side views or the VC views with VC and the VC and cabin as it is with your 737 NG series...?Please clarify or point me to the relevant post.In any case I am happy and excite about the 744 and I hope the beta testing process goes well and we have a timely release!

when the PMDG 747 is released, will it require the use of FSUIPC for any of the gauges or systems on the plane.

I am having trouble landing the 737 in the tutorial flight.I either get to the airport and the plane won't capture the glideslope or the route ends before I get to the airport even though everything seems ok in the FMC.Are the decision altitude and decision height necessary? I can set decision height but not altitude as there seems to be a bug/quirk with regards to the different display modes.Will the plane still land itself if everything is done correctly apart from setting the DA and DH?Thanks a lot.

Good Morning Members.Can anyone tell me how to get the TCAS to operate. I have the option set in the PMDG Menu to activate TCAS through FS2004, rather than FSUIPC.To test the system, took off from a major international airport, without an airborne clearance, against landing traffic, but TCAS showed OFF in the ND display.What else needs to happen to make TCAS active.Many ThanksPaul

Perhaps this has been discussed here before, but I couldn't find it. I know that there are plenty of aircraft in FS with winglets modeled visually, including some PMDG products, but does FS2004 actually recognize winglets in terms of the their effect on the flight model? If not, has PMDG modeled these subtle effects on the NG, or will it on the Queen? I know that winglets help to break up wingtip voticies, thereby improving fuel efficency, but does this have any effect at all on the handling characteristics of the aircraft, i.e. stalls, roll-rate etc? Just curious.Andrew

I have just added another monitor to my Radeon 9800 video card but I am having some problems setting up a dual monitor set up with PMDG 737 800 and therefore I have some questions:1. If I undock the overhead in windowed mode and move it to the second monitor, the moment I un-window the computer, the overhead reverts to the primary monitor.2. Is there a way of having FS Nav on the second monitor.3. I have tried to put servoinfo on the second monitor, but as soon as I start FS9, I get an access violation warning and my system freezes.I have searched the multiple monitor queries on the forum and understand that not all my queries realte directly to PMDG but any advice would …

Attn. all pmdg developers,I am pleased to say that i have finaly had the first flight in months where nothing went wrong due to a developers lack of support, skill and documentation. I was flying the delta route from KATL TO KDEN and everything worked great! One question I have is why are the autolands so hard, I mean that plane hit the ground like a meteoroid! But other than that I could not find anything wrong for the first time in a while in an fs airliner.

While waiting for Randy's pics I wanted to started another thread on this topic since the other thread strayed bit off topic.Modeling N1 fluctuations is great news but moderation is required since as the Virgin DVD shows the fluctuations are small, at least in cruise. Just to give concrete example if we focus on one engine we could see N1 at 67.8 and it would stay this way for a good 30 sec or so. Then the last digit would change to say '9' and after another 10 sec or so it would return to the original 67.8. It would always be either '8' or '9' at the end in this particular example. as you can see from the pic, in the southern hemisphere i have this problem sometimestonite i wanted to do a flight from YMML to YSSY the temperature was 7c i wanted to put it in but i had to go all the way to 22c to accept it,why is this? sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt.ive tried 07 007 7 doesnt work.rgds.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/120286.jpg

It happened to me already 2nd time that some textures simply didn't load. First occurance was today in the morning where my external model textures didn't load. I can't remember exactly what I did in the morning, but I think I changed from 2D to VC model.Second occurance was just now, I loaded B1900D with the VC, and just after that, I loaded B1900C. And now, the VC textures didn't load. Gauges were working, all there, but whole panel was just grey model.It's fixed usually with reloading the aircraft or so.I think it never happened when I loaded B1900C directly after loading FS.Ideas??

Occasionally when trying to load an airport on the FMC I get arunway error, which means that the FMC will not show any runways. Is there some tutorial that explains how to fix this?Thanks in advance.

Hello, I was thinking of purcahsing the Beechraft 1900, but had a few questions for you. (1) How exactly does the Beechcraft navigate, since it does not have a FMC like the 737? If I wanted to perform a flight in the B1900 from Fort Lauderdale-Bahamas how would I set this up as far as waypoints and such are conserned? (2) What is the typical cruise speed (KIAS) for the B1900? When passing 10,000 feet do I go from 250 knots to 270 knots, and then when I cruise go to a number slightly higher than 270 knots? (3) What are the functions of the autopilot on the B1900D? ThanksChad Moore

after installing free add-on scenery for RJAA, sim crashes during take-off roll and got msg says crash-object collision.can someone please point me where new afcad file should be located and how to install new scenery step by step?I often see planes start out on the grass or not properly aligned with runways.thanks in advance.

Anyone had their 737NG climb violently due to severe wind changes received from active sky? If so is this normal behaviour?Jason

Howdi!i use FSnavigator 4.7 to export flight plans into the 737-700 FMC. I want to use SID/STARs for more realistic flights but im running into trouble. First off i have updated the database with all the current information. I select my airports im flying from and to, then i select my runway for departure..my question is how do you know which SID/STARS to pick? sometimes there are pages of them! i can guess the departure okay but say im flying to KJFK and select an ILS runway if i guess and just pick one it leaves me with a messed up flight plan.]Can anyone help?thanksPaul

Getting ready for the 744 release, I am contemplating to acquire one of those 3D tracking devices that would allow scanning the virtual cockpit without having to touch the mouse (this is utterly unpractical during critical phases of a flight to jump from keyboard to mouse and or GoFlight hardware when one is on final approach for example).Question is there anyone who is using such a device (3D tracking) with the PMDG 737 NG and how is it performing? We've all seen screenshots, we've all heard the great detail PMDG has put into this bird, and now I am wondering how the sounds are? Personally, I love a good sound set (not just engines, but all the little cockpit noises). If anyone on the beta team would like to answer, feel free. :)(p.s.: this doesn't need to turn into a thread about sitting in the cockpit sounds versus sitting on the engines versus the sounds from a DVD cockpit video.
