I purchased the 1900D the other night and am very pleased with it with the exception of the hit to my FPS. I have a low/mid system and normally run about 15FPS, but drop to 4-5 when flying the 1900D with VC and cabin. Still single digit with 2D only. Would there be any adverse effects to converting all the texture files to DXT3 to try to improve FPS a little bit? Other than the obvious visual quality of course.Brad BanisterKGRKhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/1900driver.jpg

Hi guys,I bought the PMDGNG series some weeks ago, but i've encountered problems while programming the FMC, i've downloaded all the SIDS&STARS,and putted them in the right directory (fs9/pmdg/sids&stars), but when i'm on JFK, or on Amsterdam, the FMC Says there are no SIDS or STARS Available....... How can I solve this problem? Many Thanks,JustinEindhoven, The Netherlands

If KLAS runways 7L and 7R are in use how do you manage your approach as I cannot seem to find any approach plates. Can someone point me to some approach plates or enlighten me? I usually use MyAirplane.com.PMDG B737 KSJC to KLAS FUZZY6 Arrival. Winds at 120. How do I manage this approach?Sorry if this is an elementary question or not the appropriate forum, not sure where else to go.Jim Little

Hello everyone,You know when you are flying in the big events and on the PMDG display you have the TCAS enabled and you can see all the other aircraft, i personaly would like to take some photos of the event (using the Print screen button on the keyboard) but it means that every time you have taken a photo you have to minimize FS (even worse if in Full Screen mode) and then open paint, click paste, and then save the pic. Does anyone know a program that somehow makes it so you dont have to minimize FS, or it just stores them all and then you save them later?Cheers,Nathanial

I have followed Fred Clausen tutorial and program the FMC. However i got wierd figures for the take off speed. What i obtained for V1, VR and V2 are greater than 180KT. Anyone have this problem before? The GW/CRZ CG and FUEL figures are different than those in manual..Thomas

When the LDS767 came out, I was blown away by how good the fps are with it. How are the fps with the PMDG 747 compared to the LDS767? Better? Worse? Thanks!

Everyone, I have been visiting the forum here for quite some time and find the information being shared informative and most helpful. Anyway I have decided to register and start taking part in the forums. I would like to say that the work PMDG are putting into the 747-400 seems to be beyond comprehention. There are alot of developers out there that seem to release new software every month it seems, so I think we have got an absolute champion of a plane heading our way......thanks PMDG for the hard yards......she's gonna be worth it.Jason

Hi everybody :-) I want to order the famous FMC user's guide for the 747/777/767 and 757 and while I was visiting the homepage I noticed that there are also FMC-manuals for the 737 (from the -300 up to 900) and the 737NG. Now I'm asking myself why one would only order the 737NG manual when the other 737 manual also includes the NG-series (and also the -300 to -500). The price is the same so is there really much more said about the NG in the 737NG-manual? Anybody here who owns or knows them and can post his comments about the differences of the 737 "all types"-manual and the "NG only"-version? Best regards, Stefan Bergert

I recently reinstalled and bought 737NG and 737-800/900. Of course it is a great add-on, still the best in some aspects (IMHO and even after having used LevelD767 for quite a while now...).One thing that puzzles me though is the complete lack of realistic behaviour when one cuts an engine in flight, no matter if during innitial climb or cruise. There is almost no hint of yaw towards the failled engine side, no yaw-induced bank, no nothing, appart from the power loss, of course. At first I thought it could be the yaw-damper comming into play, but even disengaging it the situation is the same, and as far as I know not even the real yaw dampers would do anything about it unde…

Is there a plan to move the 744 questions, comments, etc..., to it's own forum? Now would probably be a good time to do so, and make this the 737NG forum? (Like PSS does)

Hi guys,With all the potential 747 trainees getting ready to squeeze every ounce of cpu for their new queen...here is a little tweak to boost PCs which have Hyperthreading (HT) or "dual core" setups.Note, if you dont have HT then I DONT RECOMMEND using this... it will most certainly freeze up your machine! In a HT computer WinXP doesnt assign enough resources to a given application, and instead keeps a big chunk of usable cpu power as spare...more often its sitting idle doing nothing while the active resources chug to keep up with instructions! Fortunately there is a way to force WinXP to assign more CPU resources to a particular application, by way of a little file with a…

Hi,When I land the 737-700 and although I have armed the spoilers(green annonce on panel), I notice that they don't deploy automaticaly just after touch down ,either I disconnect the AP just before landing(at about 30ft as suggested by the tutorial) or I disconnect the AP after touch down.Did I forget something ?Thank's for helpjc michel

Hi!I know that this feeling is rather subjective, but when we land in a heavy there is a sense of "flutuation" and one could feel the suspension slowly taking in the weight of the plane.the 737(PMDG) altough right on the numbers of both performance and handling, is stiffer on the landig feeling than the real one.Could we expect within the compromise of numbers/fs limitations/flight model, expect a litle more feeling "compression" of the landig struct?Ps: sorry but this is hard to explain( aren't all the feeling the same?)

Hello BETA TEAM.I was wondering, if like the LDS, the ground power has to be requested? And is Aileron/Elevator droop modeled??Thanks,

Is it simulated that if you have APU and both engine bleeds on (dual bleed light on) and you increase the throttle then the engine is damaged and you have to start again?I find that I can apply full throttle and the plane accelerates regardless. Also where can I find a list of exactly what is simulated correctly? Many thanksGraham

Testing the PMDG 747 alongside with the PS1 manual would be the most intersting test! That's what I think.Hello all.I normally don't write much on this forum. I think PMDG should simply do it's work without us asking their #### off! ;-)However after them releasing the Beta version of PMDG744 to the Beta testers, I am suprised after all the promisses of the product in the past (and there where a few!), that none of the Beta testers has opened the PS1 manual and step by step checked if all of the goodies in that book, are all in the new PMDG744 software.Afterall it claims to be more detailed then PS1 ... technically... not visually. Now I know that it hasn't been out long, bu…
