In the spirit of those entertaining "are we there yet?" posts, here's my contribution:What bandwidth will you be using to download your queen? People with bigger pipes will win, I guess. I myself will be downloading at 3 Mb/s, unless I have already moved to my new house by that time ... then I will be 0 Mb/s for a few days.- Neeraj

Will a fuel planner exist like the one for the 737 ng by Ross A. Carlson?I find the fact you can input the headwind and the taxi fuel needed made loading the plane much easier. Also it came with operating limitations and automatically board the aircraft after it read the payload weight.Just curious don't think I saw this in the manual.

As seen often in many commercial aircraft config managers, the numbers do not match what is supposed to be active. Until recently, I have always used the config manager as a reference for weights. Now that I have read the 747 manual, I am inspired to make more flights by the numbers.I can see that the config manager for the 737-700 quotes a MTOW of 153,500LB, while all the charts in PMDG's manuals quote a maximum of 133,000LB. As a result, ZFW/MFW/MZFW are affected. Thus far, I have been flying quite successfully on the manager's numbers, rather than what the aircraft should be flying with. That could explain why I am finding rotation speeds at the level of the heavy …

One quick question...Will the Queen use the same AIRAC database for waypoints and procedures as the NG series? I've spent a lot of time keeping my NG SID and STAR procedures up-to-date, and I'm sure it would be easier to not have to maintain two database files in parallel. The 747 is going to be a magnificent add-on, and I would like to say "thanks" to all the folks at PMDG for the countless hours you have been spending to make this product a reality.Jim BarrettBAW795UPS705

Ok now I'm putting together some sort of super computer, and I'm thinking $500-$600 for graphics would be pretty nice... and pretty much all I can pay.My motherboard is also SLI capable with 2 PCI express slots. Now do you geeks think its better for me to go with 2 6600s using SLI?ORSpend it all on a 7800 and maybe later in a year or two think about adding a sister 7800 one to my system?:-smile12 Would appreciate all the responds :)ValaPS. is 7800 even worth $550?

No doubt this was answered before, but I can't seem to find it in the search.I recently got active camera, which works great. I notice though on the NG when looking out of the virtual cabin at the wings (winglet version) one of the lights on the wingtip is offset from the wing. The lights seem to be positioned for a regular wing.Does anyone know how to fix this? BTW - This was the -700 version, I didn't check the others. Thanks

Currently I'm writing a new gauge. It will only work with the 737NG and with an internet connection. This gauge will scan the site http://www.precisionmanuals.com/ once a minute. If it detects '747-400' and 'released' within one sentence the following will happen:- A loud alarm will sound- 'Fasten Seatbelts' is switched to ON- A popup window will show the nearest suitable airport- V/S is set to -5000fpm- Heading is set to intercept the glideslope- Altitude in the MCP is set to glideslope intercept altitude- A/P is set to HDG and V/S mode- When reaching that altitude the speed in MCP is set to V2- Speed brakes are deployed- A second alarm will soundThe rest must be done man…

I've purchased the 737 base pack and 800/900 late last year. I recently reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled FS. Unfortuantley, it seems I neglected to back up the PMDG software. I can't seem to find where to download the products again. I am able to login at PMDG's website and view my past orders.....but I don't see where to download again? Please help!....thanks in advance.-=MAB=-

I've been running the 737 for a week or so now and have had almost no problems with it... except for one. When I'm just about on final and I'm in the middle of extending flaps and gear all sounds go silent - engines, wind, everything. So far it has happend twice and I am unsure of what is causing it.I can do touch-and-go's while cycling the gear over and over again with no problems, but after a longer FMC controlled flight things go quiet at the end.I did recently put a check mark in the box saying something about "callout sounds in the vc", but I'm not certain that is the cause either.Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks.

Captains, after an observation that the colors of the previous Malaysia were too intense I redid this livery and I *think* it's closer to the prototype. What do you think, Robin? ;-)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/123386.jpg
