Hi all 737NG Drivers. I see some confusion and misconceptions about the SID/STAR/IAP database made for the PMDG 737NG. I thought I would have a go at explaining how to avoid the recurring problems I see here and in the email I get. First, an overall explanation of what is available, where to get the data and how to use it. The SID/STAR/IAP database is derived from the DAFIF (Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File) database. It is the only on-line, worldwide, free digital database I know of. This database is made for the U.S. military but does not contain all the SIDs/STARs/IAPs that are available in the civilian world. My guess is because only airports and SID…

I arm the speedbrake prior to touchdown but do not how to deploy the thrust reversers. Is there a specific key command I'm missing?Thanks.

Hi,I just was reading through the manual when I noticed that Each Wing has only two bottles for the two engines. But Wat if one engine requires both bottles to be discharged and then the other engine at the same wing has also a fire that needs to be extinguised. How are you able to suppress that fire without any bottles remaining?

About the 747-400? Somehow most of my dreams these days somehow include the 747-400 in them :-lol

I have scanned the manual and found no mention of keyboard assignments, although I'm sure they are there.My question is can we have joystick/throttle assignments for such things as the TO/GA switches and soft autopilot disengage?Thanks,Paul

Ok, I finally got the 737NG working this morning. All is better and even spent a full 2 hours learning the FMC :D God that thing is sweet...Anyway, I'm having a bit of a problem with it and Squawkbox 3 now. It seems that with the PMDG I can't connect to any VATSIM servers. I get "Unauthorized Software Client". However, it isn't the server. I can connect perfectly fine to the network using the Kittyhawk or POSKY models, or any other model for that matter.I'm using the latest version of FSUIPC...3.48 or something like that. -Matt Biegner

does any one know if it will be possible to import flight plans (from any source, fs flight planner or external program,) in to the fmc as i saw no mention of this in the manual...i may have missed itthanksKav

Hi, PMDG flyersDuring take off and climb with the B1900D I get very high ITT (inter turbine temperature) indications. Conditions are this: OAT 15 oC and a field elevation of 1500 ft.Stopping power levers at the red ITT instrument line I get no more than 65% power (torque) with 100% engine RPM Reaching 10.000 ft, things go better. (850 oC ITT and 100% torque)..What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any commentDirk Trotteyn (SANT)

I couldn't tell just looking over the manual to determine if the present .rte extension for PMDG flight plans is going to work for the 744. The manual seems to deal with the workings of the aircraft rather than the interaction with MSFS. That will come later I imagine. FSBuild, FSNavigator, and the like I hope are on standby to create the export.dll if needed to opererate with the new girl in town. TerryIf this has been asked and answered - sorry.

Well Captain R. and Company, like a bunch of other folks, I am anxiously awaiting the release of the Queen. I have had so much enjoyment out of the 737NG packages you just wouldn't believe. As high as the bar was raised with that release, I'm sure ya'll have outdone yourselves again. Like 99% of the folks that have a long standing history with PMDG products, I very much appreciate your efforts and expertise. I just hope I don't have to turn in my 737 to fly the Queen;-) . I still fly her about 5-6 hrs a week and have since the day it was first released.Thanks again

Will the 744 have the chrometer stay sinc with time acceleration or will it be like the NG and stay with the computers real time.

Hello Gents,Few minutes ago I went to view the main AVSIM page, and the first line of the news was PMDG Releases Documentation for 747-400, but I read the first two words only, and I got a jolt to my heart out of excitement... I think PMDG has to prepare us mentally and emotionally when the Queen of the skies is just about to be released.Cheers,Fido

Hello to all, So there I was searching the net, and checking out the good ol PMDG site.I happened to come across the 747-400 manual in the downloads section. Between work, and finsihing up the flight training in the RW, I sim and have been really interested in the Queen of the Skies project Being an owner of the NG series, and for its time it was probably one of, if not the groundbreaking addon aircraft, I have always expected alot of PMDG, since Ive seen what you all can do. So im reading through the manual, in particular the virtual cockpit section, and i see the following:"Rudder Pedal Adjustment: Click the crank behind each yoke to adjust the rudder pedal distance" Ok…
