Hello,I know with B744 about to come out, you're quite busy, but would please answer a quick question for me? What type of flight controller(s) were used in the developement of PMDG products?I ask this because I use the PFC Jet Yoke and after much fustration with the slow response by the B737, I finally went into the flight tuning with TweakFS and adjusted the elevator & aileron effectiveness by a factor of 1.50. After I did this, I get what I perceive as adequate roll and pitch authority in the approach speed range, i.e. 180 kts down to Vref.I understand that the B737 is no figher aircraft, but I was having to use full control travel to get even a moderate roll rat…

Hello everyone,As this is really directed at the PMDG crew, I would like your feedback on this.IRL, pilots must have a type rating (turbojet or GW >12,5000lbs) to fly, and (usually have a Commercial or ATP (FAA Certificates) are current pilots.Other threads posted on this forum mentioned training for the queen, but it would be nice if you offered a "type-rating" course for your customers. You know, not the RL stuff, but enough to get you "signed-off" on the aircraft, and PMDG could "give you your stripes" as it were. For example, you could have a newbee, who just bought the A/C and is assigned Level 1, (F/O in training). Passing further compentency checks, the pilot lev…

I am wondering if the PMDG website will cope when the 744 is finally released and hundreds - or thousands - of people rush all at once to buy and download it?I am assuming that PMDG have considered the inevitable stampede and have taken steps to ensure that the website won't crash?

In anticipation of the 747, I can't seem to get any thrust reverse to work. The Help center says to press and hold F2, but nothing happens. When I checked my key assignments, F2 is set for "throttle decrease quickly" and I can't find any assignment listing for reverse thrust. Any ideas? I have a CH yoke and pedals (analog into game port) and works fine on everythign else. Mike

Hi guys. One gets the impression that PMDG are releasing a new aircraft soon, so this question seems timely....I don't have high-speed internet, in fact my dial-up is running like a pig at the moment and I'm currently getting 13kbps! On a good day!So, I'm looking at downloading the 747 (I refuse to refer to such a awesome machine as a "Queen") on a friends PC, saving it to his HD, copying to a DVD/CD, taking it home and copying the DVD to my HD.And then calling in sick to work for a week.My concern is with my limited knowledge on these things, am I asking for trouble with my plan above? The download will have considerable data, is there not a good chance it could get "jumbl…

While i wait for the 747-400 to arrive on stand i have decided to train initially out of Kai Tak! A stupid decision maybe, but the approaches will sure as heck test my flying abilities!I was searching through FS2004 and found Kai Tak is still there as Hong Kong Old Airport!I was just wondering if anyone out there can recommend some really good, high detail scenery for the airport and surrounding area?Kind RegardsJamie

As far as I'm concerned, I'm one of the biggest fans of the 747 (always was).Believe me, I'm also awaiting the release, but I've managed to survive 44 years without the PMDG 747. So I guess I can wait some more days.;-) On the other hand, pilots are supposed to keep calm in stress situation. So, fellow 'pilots', why don't you just go aou and enjoy nature. ore play with your kids or your wife/girl friend?;-) We will all have plenty of time to enjoy the 747 when it's released.CheersThomas

Hello PMDG,I was just wondering,Are we allowed to alter any parts of the official PMDG paints that are provided to us, for own-use purposes only without any kind of distribution whatsoever?I have read the EULA and the License that installs with the paints, but as far as I've caught on, it doesn't state anything about this and I just wanted to be clearThanks a lot for your great efforts PMDG :)

PMDG team members. I have not wanted to say anything as I know you have been completely engulfed in getting the queen out to us. As such I did not want to say anything that might take you away from the Queen but I think I need to say something. There is a problem with the 747 home page. The Buy Now button is not working. I have been clicking it 210 times a day for months now and nothing happens... My Credit Card is ready to type its own information into the computer it wants out of my hand so bad. Like I said, I did not want to say anything to distract you but I feel this should be looked into ASAP :) If you want, send me an email about an hour before you make the…

I've been wondering about this for a long time, but never got around to asking it until now. The manual states that there will be 350 routes that come with the 747. Did you just take every BETA flight and throw them into on big folder for us? Will we even have to create our own routes anymore? 350 ROUTES!!!TaylorP.S. There is supposed to be a little humor with the last sentence.

Will it Robert....?....just wanna make sure that I bring enough sweaters with me....and some extra flashlights to read the manual in there....:-xxrotflmao

How many people out there in PMDG land are checking the website on an hourly basis? Do you guys, my fellow 'citizens', think the 744 will be released this weekend? Is it time to dust off those wings!I don't think it will be released this weekend and will be suprised if it is released in the next week or so - the reason for my scepticism is that LDS released their manual 2 months before the actual release! I know i can't compare PMDG because they're the creme de la creme when it comes to flight simulator aircraft, they're the bee's knees!Anyway can't wait to fly it!My guess, even though it contradicts everything i've just said, is Wednesday 3 August!Whats you guestimate???R…

Captain Randazzo,Maybe a bit early, but from the treads I've read and pictures I've seen in this forum and PMDG's website, I believe Sir that what you need to do straight after the release of the 744 is starting a"how to fly the queen course".This including PMDG's cockpit video's explaining from cold and dark to take off and landing with all the systems explained in between. You scratch your head and ask why? Simple, look at the amount oftreads written about the 744 before actual release? Questions relating to the manuals? And with the release of........Anyway serieusly,I fly the Ready for Pushback, well known for its realistic simulated systems and detailed Manuals.Still Mr…

Hi there!I can't understand something regarding the takeoff Vspeeds tables, in the 744 manual (for example, page 44). What is "Temperature - Altitude Region"? Because I can't find temperatures nor altitudes, only letters (A to L). Can you please explain it to me?Also, are there any Reduced Thrust (FLEX) takeoff tables in the manual? I couldn't find them. Thanks! :)

Dear PMDG,I was wondering if you have plans to fix the broken Royal Air Maroc link in the the downloads section? ;)

Hi PMDG, do you have an idea, where i get the trim settings for the 800/900 because they are missing in the manual. Best Regards Jan-Paul Schuchna
