Hi Everyone!I have a question involving the PMDG 747 Cabin. I wonder if there is anyone out there considering to make different cabin textures for the 747, cabin textures that would match the different airlines, even tough the cabin model is taken from Lufthansa.I really hope that someone could make it :):)

Hi Guys ! :)My understanding from an Autoland is this:If you make the Autoland at last stagesand the PFD shows in green "FLARE" the Trottlesshould go to idle so after that i can use the Trust Reverse.With the "Queen" i am doing the same thing,but the Trottles won`t go to Idle so i can`t Reverse. :(Have i do it manually?? ( Push down AT Button,select F1 toshut down the Throttles ) and then Reverse......Is this the way to use the Queen or should do this( Push down AT Button,select F1 to shut down the Throttles )the AP hisself.Any help here.....:+cheerspilotpm :-beerchug

Going thru the systems on the new 747, have noticed that the flaps will not respond to the flap lever on my GoFlight TQ6 throttle unit. Throttles and spoilers do work however. Looked thru the manual and did an online search but have not found a reference to this. Flaps respond on all other aircraft (including the 737ng). Cannot find a place in the 747 menu to assign the flaps to this lever (has been assigned in flight sim). Is this just the way this aircraft is set up? Thanks,Joe

I know I mentioned this in another thread but this is really disappointing. Seeing PMDG modeled turbulence and wing movement, it's sad you can't look back from the cabin or VC and observe those large wings when flying through the clouds hitting rough air... :-hmmm

I read the parts of the manual which cover tuning an ILS in the FMC of the new 747. No matter how many times I try to tune ANY ILS, it keeps saying "Invalid Entry" or sometimes, "Navid Invalid". This happens wherever I am - in the ground, in the air 10 miles away, etc. I know there are times you can't tune on the ground, as it says in the manual - but in the air - 5 to 10 miles out? No matter what I do, I can't get the auto tune of the FMC to be overridden and the line 4L to say anything onther than PARK. Nor can I get the frequency I want to be displayed on the lower radio stack.Any ideas? Everything else with the bird is working GREAT for me.Thanks.Chris Catalano

Hi,Well I got it the first few hours after release, I still can't fly her. The rudder is full throw right and it will not center. I calibrated my PFC Yoke and Peddles numerous times, everthing works fine with LDS and PMDG's 737.Any Ideas?.Thanks

Hi,After many atempts I succeeded in downloading the "Queen" yesterday.The first impression is just Woww,...... I get better framerates that both the PMDG B737NG and Level-D. And I thought that Level-D ran smooth..go figure. :-)One thing though,..I can not get the CRTs to show in a VC mode,..only in the 2D mode. The weird thing is that if I click on the CRTs in VC mode, they show up well in the 2D popup windows.!?What

Hey Guys, I already sent PMDG support a message but can't seem to help me yet. After following all the steps as required, I still have the same problem after installation that I' am not able to select gauge selector switches in the cockpit. For example when I select a certain selector I see a "Resizing" curser instead of the "little hand selector" curser. I am not able to fly the aircraft at all since I can't even turn on the APU, IRS, or change CRT views, Zoom of the Flight Display. Once again I have followed all the steps as asked during the installation. If I assign a keyboard key to a certain selector switch I am able to move the switches, but since not all gauges hav…

Hi gang. I know this sounds newbish but I have looked everywhere. How do I tune the NAV radios? I have looked everywhere in the manual, have clicked every switch and button on the console but can only get the COMM's to function. The 2 lower nnav/comm displays on the console are non-clickable.Can someone explain to me where they are and howe to get them to function please?ThanksBill

I bought the new PMDG 747, and am generally very happy with it - whilst I am able to fly it that is!Usually within 5 minutes from loading the 747, FS9 goes CTD - no error reporting, no restart, just 'Flight simulator has encountered a problem and needs to close".This is in a VERY bare bones FS9 installation - NO ADD ON'S whatsoever except this aircraft - EVERYTHING else is default.I usually get to winthin 300ft on final after a quick circuit, or 5 minutes on climb when bang - close down.I have emailed PMDG, but don't anticipate a response for a while. I'm having a problem, when I reach the top of decent, my auto pilot does respond. EG. Flying from FAJS (Johannesburg International) to FACT (Cape Town International) at the Worchter VOR you start your decent to runway 1, this does not happen, what am I doing wrong??

Hello,I want to know before I'm going to buy the 747 (which I'm seriously considering) if it's possible for me to install the 747 on more then one pc. I want to install the 747 at home, but also at my work pc (got a very good job!!). Following the link that was posted here, and also observed in some 737 videos that I have seen on the net, I have noticed that some carriers go through the landing check list and the pilots agrees between them selves whether they will land or not by the time the decend through 500 ft. I assume this varies from airline to airline and is specified in the SOP. My question is simple: In the case where visibility is lower than 500 (i.e. no visual indication of the runway or the environment passing through 500), but still better than minimums, what is done then? Do these SOPs then force a go-around, or is it ok to not have a conclusion on landing or not until minimums according…
