I ran into an odd situation with the B-747 400. Landing at Fumico airport in Rome, Italy the aircraft would touch down and then crash on roll out. The rollout was straight and on the runway. it did this on every landing attempt no matter what runway.In Milan Italy and Singapore the airplane would not take off, somewhere between 80 knots and VR it would crash, on the runway right in the middle of it. However it landed ok in Singapore, but I tried numerous takeoffs on all runways and it did the same thing. Moved to Jakarta, Indonesia and it worked fine.I have had no other major problems with the airplane.ThanksKen Hand

I use FS Build and also Flight Sim Commander 7 by Aerosoft to create and export flight plans for my PMDG 600/700. Can either or both of these software create flight plans which can be exported to PMDG 747-400 FMC?ThanksStanner

Hi I just wanted this to share with the B744 fans.I didn't know the a/c is so heavy at departure. Look at my flightplan. I just wanted to say that after having used other products (competition), I must say that PMDG has the best products available in this market. I have posted in other forums, and I see people complain about their products (competition) and I agree with them. I consider that PMDG is second to none. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!!!Hope to see more quality products soon. (Do the airbus family).

Hey guys!Everytime I close my FS2004 in whatever screen, I get an error from the file pmdgoptions.dll that caused a general failure on FS9.exe.I own both the 737NG and the 747 and I haven't been able to solve it.It is really annoying to have FS2004 just crash everytime you want to close it.I did a fresh install of FS2004 and my Windows and still the problem prevails.Any suggestions?Thanks,Teo

Hi there,I just bought Queen of the skies yesterday. It's awesome and I love it already.However... I have problems with VNAV (yes, I'm sure it's only user problems!). I can now program the FMC fine. The manual is fairly good but does not offer much for someone that doen't already know the functions of a FMC. I am a real life pilot but only single engine VFR so this is new to me.I can see the altitudes in the VNA pages in the FMC but when I get to the waypoints where it should start descent, it just keep going same altitude. I then click the Fight Level CHange button and can manually set it with the AP altitude control. I then switch it back to VNAV each time I reach a new…

Hi all I have a problem :-on take off the a/c stops dead with a crash.This has happened more than once in fact it got to the stage where theit happened on every flight .I recovered the situation by using system restore but it is happening again. comp details :-Packard Bell intel pentium 4, 3.0ghz ram 1.0ghz video Radeon 9250 resolution 1280 x 1024 32bpp This does not happen with any other a/c in my collection. Fantastic Sim, but I have a porblem, I have read through theforum pages and the user manual, but I am still struggling:How do I import Routes from PMDG FPL's into the FMC (I use the code given e.g. LHRAMS001) it kinda works but I am not getting any SID/STAR details coming up.Thank you in advance,and sorry if this question has been posted before I couldn't find anything.Cheers:-roller

I just saw the cool airstairs for the upcoming 747-400F, and I wanted to ask, please please please make them available for the 747-400 as well! For those of us who fly AF1, as well as those who just don't have that much in the way of add-on scenery with working gates, it makes a huge difference for the suspension of disbelief.P.S. Hi Everybody.Im Having a problem with the 2D Panel's frame rates.I've just upgraded my graphics card to a Winfast A6600GT TDH 128MB uses AGP8X.Its all cool about the graphics.I run FS2004 ith UltraHigh display option and 8xAntiAliasing.I usually get 18-38 frames from outside with PMDG 738 and with a complex scenery such as FlyTAMPA's Dubai. But when i switch to 2D panel fps drops to 13 even to 7-8 sometimes.It doesnt matter what you set in the display options.(I tried medium low and minimal but the max frame rate i got was 18 when i used the minimal option with none antialiasing.)It makes me sick..I cant fly with the aircraft.Does anybody else experienced this problem?Ple…

Hi,I have been downloading some repaints from the PMDG download site,liveries for the 747-400.I have noticed that some textures seem to have been compressed in DXT3 with MS Imagetool and some others with DXTBmp. How's that? Because,the textures compressed with Imagetool will take more time to load in FS than the textures compresse with DXTBmp. Dont ask my why, but doingsome repaints myself from time to time, I know that for sure, and it is very noticable in FS for anyone doing the test.Also, some textures has incorrect alpha channels which cause someblack painting to appear 'bare-metal' in FS, when they should be black.Thanks to PMDG they had the excellent idea to propose…

Hey Gentlemen,Nice to be back here indeed.Could anyone tell me if there is a way to reset to event timespage in the FMC once the first leg is finished.If you go to the ACARS section of the FMC, you find this very usefulpage (on which depends the crew salaries actually in real life!).So, I performed one flight, and never been able to reset that page.Deleting everything on the route page in the FMC didnt help.Thanks, and again welcome back home PMDG.

Hi allI was finally tempted to do a repaint of the B1900C, but it seems that the fullside.psd does not match up to the fuse_t file. When you cut and paste the aft, fore sections they are shorter and can not get them lined up, am I supposed to stretch them to make them fit.any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,I have a rather intriguing problem, and I suspect it is related to a larger problem.The larger problem relates to Cat.III autolands that fail on flights where VNAV wasn't used, and the FMC wasn't programmed with a route (just using VOR-to-VOR navigation).In that scenario, when FLARE commands idle power, it fails to idle properly, instead retarding the power to a distinct 66% N1. At ROLLOUT going active, instead of the AT system soft-disconnecting, SPD becomes the active mode, and AP just holds the flare pitch, resulting in it just floating down the runway 1ft off the deck.If during this exact configuration TOGA is hit, it results in a CTD. I need help guys. I just downloaded and installed the AIRAC 0511. I then went to set up a flight from London Heathrow EGLL and realized that all my runway information had been wiped off the FMC. When i call up EGLL app or dep page on the FMC, there are no runways, SIDs or STARs listed. I know they were there yesterday because i flew there yesterday. How do i recover my data? EGLL is my favorite airport and i gotta get that data back. HEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPPP.AnthonyBTW i like the other PMDG forum better.

Maybe some more experienced simmer can shed some light on this...flying the PMDG 1900D from Denver to Pueblo last night, ATC sent me considerably west and south, changing altitudes every few minutes, then after a long time heading further from KPUB, it says the ILS is terminated!! Leaving me over the mountains and resetting the GPS for Direct-To..........then trying to land on a non-ILS runway at night (I crashed)..........OK, is this a problem with the plane, my computer, computer settings, or what?? Sometimes in other scenarios ATC seems to send me in the wrong directions... Input would be greatly appreciated!!! RRL

1. I had set my Cruise Altitude in the FMC to 28,000 ft. 2. The VNAV page showed CRZ ALT FL280 Step to 3003. The Legs page showed FL3004. I set the Altitude box to 31,0005. After reaching FL28 the next waypoint on the Legs page showed that we should be at FL300 when arriving at it in 44 miles.6. However as I approached that Waypoint the Legs page showed the target of FL30 constantly reducing until we reached the Waypoint still at FL28.I assume that the FMC calculated that FL30 was the most efficient. If that's so why didn't the aircraft continue to climb to FL30?Cliff

Hey guys!!!I don't know if you have seen this issue before.It happens to me anytime I am flying the 737NG at night. Whenever FS2004 does a "Loading scenery" at night, when it comes back to the 737NG panel, the AP numbers are gone and the switches and gauges are all messed up.It happens all the time and only when flying at night.I have a:P4, 2.4GHz, 1GB RAM, 128MB Nvidia video card, 80GB HDD, CH Virtual Pilot, CH Throttle quadrant and Pedals.Installed in FS2004 I have Activesky 2004, PMDG, LevelD, and some other aircrafts.
