PMDG General Forum

Hello,I am performing ILS landing without any problems except I am getting aural "too low - terrain" warning messages. FMC knows about destination airport and runway I am landing. I am using flight plan including SID and STAR.Could someone please explain what am I doing wrong? or is it standard warning that pilot always gets when landing? When I installed the PMDG 737

I live in an area of FRANCE where broadband is not (yet) available. The 747-400 can only be purhased as a download. This option is totally unpractical without broadband! Is there another purchase option?? Can I download the product on another PC with a broadband connection and then transfer it across to my PC?? I have emailed PMDG with this question but I never receive a response. Many thanks.

Although I like the fact that we are back with AVSIM the other forum had one distinct advantage i.e. it was broken down into separate areas of interset. In my case I don't have, or want the B747, so not having to wade through all the posts for this a/c was a major plus.So if when you post on this forum you put the a/c you are talking about as the first word in the heading, anybody not into that area could skip it and save a lot of time.I don't know how others will think, but I 'subscribe' to the PMDG forum which means I get an email everyday detailing the new posts. Having to open up loads of topics I am not interested in is a pain.I look forward to hearing other people…

HiFirst of all I want to say that you guys made a great addon. My compliments.Unfortunately, I experienced a small problem when flying in HDG SEL.I was flying HDG 060 and I changed my heading to 055. But the aircraft didn't turn to the right, but made an almost 360 turn.I expierenced this 3 times now. Here is a picture. Am I doing something wrong? Hi , can someone help me . I have PMDG 747-400 . When i choose a flight and the plane is positioned on the runway the engines cut out and will not re-start , despite using CTRL+E nothing happens just a warning sound and a flying tip message saying the engines are not started . Any ideas anyone ?.:-hmmm

Hi,Using the 737NG (with 800-900 and up to date) in 2D panel, I find it very difficult to drag the spoilers or the flaps handle.For the spoilers handle, I just can't drag it at all. And for the flaps handle, I seem to be able to only drag it one notch at a time.Everything else works normally.Is that a known 'issue'? Are there pilots here for who it all works, and/or pilots who remarked the same problem I have?Eric.

Hello there,Just a quick bit of info needed regarding the pmdg 737 cockpit 2d "optional" bitmaps.My 2d right and left views etc are all of the, "in" Virtual cockpit style texture placements. I notice the better 2d fixed bitmaps are in the "Panel" folder but I am unsure how to get them back into the sim, so I can view them in all they're glory.Any info pointing me in the right direction would be much appreciated.Thanks in advance,James.

Require experts how do u get the fmc to change fuel calc I made a mistake with the loading and fuel required tried always to get the reloading plan renewed so as to load correct fuel,I hope i made myself clear can some on help out there.........regards robin

Is there anyway to import FS9 flight plans into the Queen, or does each on have to be built from scratch? I've just started to play with the FMS now and it's certainly different than the 737 series. ;-)

Two things that pzzle me which don't appear to be well covered in the FMC Manual or tutorials.1.What do I put in the OAT box - at the moment I guess at -50F for something like FL350 - are there any charts / graphs to give more info please ?2. What does the ISA Dev/QNH box do ? is it modelled ? The FMC Manual (page 73) just says that it is the 'Destination airport temperature deviation from standard.." So do you put in the destination temp or the difference between what (The departure airport or the OAT ) and the destination airport. What logic do you use if the dest temp is 10 degrees cooler, do you put in '10' or 'minus 10'?

My FreeAVG has just updated and now all PMDG files are being tagged as infected with the trojan Downloader.Agent.AQN. Hi guys,Can someone please help me. I have recently emmigrated to Australia from the UK and ever since firing up the PC I am having trouble with magnectic/true heading.I sit at Sydney and the runway is showing direction 348 degrees when it is 235 degrees. I sit at London gatwick and the heading is 286 degrees when the heading is 282 degrees. I have installed all patches re installed made sure I have done the IRS correctly but still no joy. It was working prior to me emmigrating but now I don't know what to do.
